The service tech was very polite, respectful and knowledgeable. He looked at my heater and knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. He finished all of his work within his first hourly fee which was appreciated.

This company came out to do the work, but the unit that I have was out of their area of expertise.

They have been professional, came on time and did a very good job on the tune up. The technician was very respectful and pleasant.

This deal did not include what I needed done. So I requested a refund.

They are very prompt and courteous. I find them to be very knowledgeable. I have no complaints whatsoever.

They came, did what they said they would do. They did it efficiently and I was happy.

So far, so good! They had fair pricing and were knowledgeable. When I called them, they were out within 3 business days. Overall, it took several months, but it wasn't their fault. They were on time, but they were kind of at the mercy of other contractors at the house at that time. There are many parts to installing a new system. Coastal provided the equipment, but they subcontracted the installers of the duct work who I would not recommend.

I thought the estimate was pretty high. I didn't care much for the personality of the person who came out either. He was cocky and a bit a smoosher.

They were excellent! They did everything within a day. Our older home cause no problems for them. They did a great job in terms of getting everything set up and having a clean work station. They stayed longer to make sure we understood how to operate all the different units. We had them back out for a follow-up because one of the units wasn't performing as well as it could of (soon after installation) and they came out and took care of it. There was just a loose wire that they repaired. They responded quickly. We actually hired them because a friend had used them and our service was just as good as we had heard. We didn't compare, but we were willing to pay a premium for their reputation and customer service.

They were great! They were professional and very courteous. They accommodated my schedule.

They were excellent! They were here for about 4 hours. There were no additional fees associated with the deal.

I was very pleased with them! It was nice because when they realized they couldn’t get up into my attic to look at the fan they went ahead an they filled my coolant for no cost. They were nice!

It turned out well! I felt the cost was in line. I had no problems with them.

The phone contact initially is with Sonny and she was very helpful setting up the estimate. The owner Mike came out and walked us through our options and, later sent an estimate via email. I asked to change the estimate as my wife had some aesthetic concerns and that happened quickly. We set a date and the install guys came on time. After they were there a while, they told us that what they had and what we needed didn't seem to jibe. So they called Mike and he came down to Halifax from Quincy and talked to us. The misunderstanding was on our part but Mike did a quick change to the estimate, we agreed to it, and they continued. It turned out another part was needed so Sonny drove down from Quincy with the part (not her typical job.) I was impressed with their commitment to our job. They were done in nearly the same amount of time they had said they would be originally and we ended up paying LESS than the estimate. I told Mike that many contractors might have said nothing and just installed it as is despite it being too much for our needs. He said he wanted it done right and then they never have to come back to touch it again. I agree with that. And we haven't needed them to come back. Getting it installed in August did not give us time to use it too much but, when we did, it worked great and really spread through the house more than we expected. Because this is the Mitsubishi system, it also is a heater as well and we have used that the last few weeks and it too is great. Very quiet. You have to put your hand up to the vent to know it is on. I'm looking forward to our reduced oil bills this winter because of it. I paid the deposit and the balance on my Amex card which was a great option so I get the points. I did tons of research on mini-splits, Mitsubishi and on Coastal. My Coastal research was mostly from Angie's list and really got it right for this company. Straight shooters, skilled installers, honest and reasonable. I will always pay a little extra for good service and future peace of mind. I got that here.

The repairman showed up on time. We didn't feel like he was a salesman and fixed the problem quickly. We plan on using Coastal for routine maintenance in the future.

Technician discovered that the issue was not with the air conditioning unit, but the wiring from the rooftop electrical box to the compressor. Fixed it right away.

Sent a request for quote. And somebody from the company called me saying he will be at my home in 10 minutes. I went home and waited for 45 minutes. And no one showed up. When I called back, I was told that their office messed up their schedule and contact information. One hour just got wasted.

I scheduled the service with Coastal based on their quote, and they did the job for the price quoted. They arrived on time, and it took about as long as they thought (under an hour). The system is working great, and I am so happy I asked them to quote this job as it saved me a lot of money. The only hiccup was pretty minor - their supplier had shipped the wrong replacement drip pan to them, so they had to reschedule while they waited for the correct part. But it was only a slip of a couple of days, and it wasn't really their fault. I will certainly use Coastal again to service my A/C system.

It went well! We have had a long standing relationship with Coast Air since moving into our latest apartment in June of 2012. The first week we moved in, we released that the AC and Heat were hooked up wrong and anytime the AC turned on, the heat started to blow. After a month or so back and forth with the landlord, we called Coastal on our own dime and it was fixed in no time flat. Stellar service! Fast forward to summer of 2014 when the AC stops working about 50% of the time. Back and forth again with the landlord, and ultimately decided to call Coastal once more. The first tech that came out was really young and seemed inexperienced tech(no idea his name, I wasn't home) who stated: "Everything is working fine, but it looks like it's freezing up." So Coastal put a freeze stop on it and called it day. (This was over a week or two). Surprised when that didn't fix it, I called Coastal back out and they sent a different tech (much more experienced and knowledgable) who diagnosed it as a faulty capacitor on the outside unit. They came back out free of charge to replace the capacitor, only charging us the parts - and nothing else! This is the type of company you want to do business with!

My appointment was for 8:30am and i kid you not, my doorbell rang at 8:30am on the dot. One technician came out, Alex, and he was very friendly right off the bat. He came and took a look at the number of vents i have and their locations and said he would start with cleaning them first as it would take the longest and then head onto my roof to service my HVAC. I did work on my laptop while he went about removing the ducts one at a time and vacumming them, and he continued to apologize for how disruptive it must be for me to listen. He was very considerate and seemed to clean up after himself as well since removing each vent often caused some plaster or paint to flake off. That whole process took about 2 hours with 7 vents and he said he found no traces of water in the (yay!) but did see a lot of construction dust, which makes sense given that my place was new construction (at one point). I'm expecting i will be dusting a lot less often now that it's all out of my system. Next he went up to my roof and tinkered with my HVAC, testing the heat and AC and cleaning coils. all in all, that probably took another 30-45 minutes and then he wrote up 2 very thorough work orders with all his findings (of which nothing was major or in need of repair) and was off on his way. Both Alex the technician, and Sunny the admin/scheduler were very pleasant to deal with and responsive. I would certainly use this company again, and hopefully not wait another 5 years to do it...i will add, i can't really comment on whether their prices are competative because i didn't shop around, but i did purchase a deal on Angie's List for the HVAC maintenance portion of the visit which seemed reasonably priced relative to other similar deals.

I called them after my A/C wasn't working. They come at the same date, on the time we scheduled before after I purchased a coupon. they didn't charge me more for a same day service. 2 guys came in and immediately understood the problem, changed a little part (capacitor), checked my filters and changed them without me asking or without charging me for them, helped me tuned up the AC in the baby room and also checked the overall condition of the system. they were both super nice and supper professional. I was lucky to have them. I even tipped them, something that I never done before with service providers that come to my house, but they were so good that I felt like they earned it. I am highly recommending them!

I was worried about the musty smell that was filling the house whenever the air conditioning came on. I checked out Coastal Heating and Air on Angies list and they had all good revews so I called them. They came right out on the same day and cleaned the system for me. I purchased the system maintenance deal on Angies list and saved $30 off the price too! A great experience for me and another happy customer for Coastal Heating and Air Conditioning!

It was fine. They came by, and said that I’d need to replace my unit. They were so booked, that it would take 3 weeks, however, so I went with someone else. The girl in the office was very nice.

Although it was a sweltering hot day before July 4th they squeezed me in. Just Awesome customer service. I will have them back to recondition my A&C for winter.

I contacted Coastal on Monday and they scheduled an appointment for Wednesday between 11 and 1. The person I spoke with told me to purchase the deal on Angie's List that would cover the cost of the visit. The service tech called at 10:30 on Wednesday to let me know he was on his way. He arrived at 11, fixed the problem and was friendly, courteous and helpful. I was very pleased with the service and would definitely contact Coastal again.
