Description of Work: They quoted me a price over the phone before booking and neglected to mention a service fee (extra $200). The showed up 45 min late to the appointment, they forgot one of the vents, and they did no come equipped properly to tackle 3 of the vents. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: The provider was unexpectedly shorthanded and was not able to schedule a time to fix my AC, so I found another company to take care of it. The provider was very polite and helpful, however, so it was as good an experience as it could have been, given the circumstances.

Description of Work: The guys from Coastal came to my condo to perform an assessment of my heating/ac unit. They found a faulty sensor and then coordinated with the manufacturer to get a replacement. Coastal got the replacement and installed it in a very timely fashion. They were excellent to work with.

Description of Work: Had issues with my forced air heating system (I live in a condo). Technician came out and said it was a flame sensor issue. He cleaned it and cost was $150 for the hour (even though it only took him 30 mins). The system was working at the time but stop functioning after a few days. Called Coastal and they were able to get a technician out quickly. This time it was a different technician than the first visit. He said there was a faulty pressure switch regulating the C02 air flow that needed to be replaced. It was triggering the system that something was wrong thus shutting it off whenever it tried to pump heat (a/c worked fine). There was no charge for this revisit. However, they had to order the part as it wasn't in stock. In the mean time, the technician was able to get the heating system running (apparently, the switch had two switches - which the technician said was unique - so he turned off the faulty one and diverted to the working one in the meantime to allow the system to work until the new part came in). Once the part came in, we were able to schedule a follow-up to replace the faulty one. Took about 30 mins to perform. Charged $150 for the return visit and $120 for the new part. System works fine ever since. | |Overall, I'm satisfied with the work; however, am disappointed that the problem wasn't discovered in the initial visit and we had to coordinate multiple trips to resolve the issue. I rated a B for an overall rating but I would give more like a B+ if I could. Additionally, the $150 charge for the visit to replace the part seemed excessive given that it only took 30 mins to complete the task and it was something that they missed in the initial evaluation thus causing more headache on my end to resolve. I'd still recommend them and will probably utilize them for any future work as they were very professional and much easier to work with compare to other contractors I've dealt with.

Description of Work: I bought a deal for $120 for a seasonal furnace or air-conditioner tune-up. I was very pleased with Coastal. They set up the appointment, limited the time frame (not just AM or PM sometime) and the serviceman was prompt, professional and answered any questions that I had. I had an idea of the cost as I used the coupon from Angie's list. I would certainly use them again.
