I called around 9am and the service technician was at my place by noon. Repair was completed within an hour. I was quoted $140 as the minimum trip charge, which includes 1 hour of labor. All the work was completed in an hour and the repairman didn't attempt to sell me any add-ons or service agreements (as many of the big HVAC/plumbing shops do these days). Couldn't ask for a better experience!

We called because Coastal has 24-hr emergency service, and we lost our heat on the coldest night of the winter. The answering service called back within 10 minutes and said their one emergency guy is out on call. She told us he was running into problems there and couldn't guarantee he'd be able to help, told us she didn't want to keep us waiting, and suggested we try other companies. We did, and we appreciated the call back and candor.

Responsiveness after you have initial work done is a little slow but I will say I was very happy with the work and their experience.

The quality of work was great. However, the person I dealt with didn?t provide me with any warranty information even though I asked him for the paperwork. He installed the system and everything went great. He was here when he was supposed to be here. The price charged was as per what he said and was good. The system operated beautifully too. I asked him for the warranty since it?s for a long term but he told me not to worry. He told me that it was registered with the place from where he had bought it from. I then called up the manufacturer and told them that I didn?t get the owner?s manual, warranty information or anything else. So they told me that he was supposed to give me all that but he said that he didn?t have it when I asked him for that. I then had to go to the manufacturer and get all the work done. He did wonderful work. He was great but he disappointed me with that part since it?s a big investment. It should be a transferable warranty if you sell your house and it was but he didn?t give me any of the paperwork. I wouldn?t recommend him to others and I wouldn?t use his services in the future.

They came to review our A/C and what was wrong with it. They recommended a booster, but didn't have one. They then said they would be back or contact us the next day, but never did. Nevertheless, they recommended the right procedure and didn't try to oversell or overcharge.

I thought that the representative was very personable, and professional. I have had a limited experience with them so far.

Coastal is the only company in the Boston area that I could find that would repair a Eurocave wine cooler. I called after my cooler would not turn off and froze some wine bottles. A rep came out promptly and was extremely friendly and professional. He diagnosed the problem as a broken thermostat, called and ordered a replacement from the Eurocave distributor, then came back in a week and installed the new thermostat. The part cost $105, The labor charge was $140 for the first hour and $110 each additional hour.

Did not choose this company because the brand of furnace they recommended was rated as being more prone to repairs than some others.

I called and got through to someone right away. We chose a day that would work with my schedule. Two servicemen came shortly after 3:00 p.m. for a 3:00 p.m. appointment. They checked out both units which were in good condition and gave me some information on how to continue to maintain them.

They were professional, prompt and polite. They finished the job in a timely manner for a fair price. They also cleaned up some messy wiring in the attic for no additional charge.
