Excellent service by Matt. When called for quote he said he could be there within an hour. He showed up 45 minutes later, measured the roof and provided a written quote via email before he even left the driveway. Others we called for quotes either didn't show up at all or took a week to get the quote back to you. Matt's quote was the best and also came with excellent references which I called and verified. Matt and his crew showed up on the day he promised and worked hard through/around 2 Blizzards to get my roof done. I would highly recommend Matt for any job. He is ver professional, courteous, and responsive which is not something I can say about many contractors.

I purchased this Big Deal through Angie's List and then received an email that I was too far away to do the work. I asked why it was advertised in the area and they stated that Angie's List's fault. I have contacted Angie's List for a refund.

It went well and we are now talking about doing a little vent health check up in the attic and laundry room when the weather improves. It's a relief to have someone to call that we can trust.

Well, the owner informed me his father was a Master tile person - NOT! My shower bottom portion had to be ripped out and redone - the pitch as well as the pan setting was not done properly. It leaked from the way the pan was not inserted properly and the grout nor the sealer not being applied correctly - it was a disaster. If you don't know how to tile don't say your a master tile person and if you never have used a certain shower pan installation material get yourself familiar with the product before you say you can do the job.

I paid to have an intrusion on my roof repaired. After about 15 minutes he stated that he repaired the hole and left. During the next rainstorm the hole continued to leak doing damage to my ceilings. I called him back and he stated that he was busy with another job and that he would come back in several weeks. performed correctly After about a dozen more calls to him, he has still not responded.

Excellent work ethic from start to finish. He picked-up my phone call immediately. He arrived 30 minutes thereafter (as promised) to provide an estimate. The quote was sent to my attention on time as well. The price was very fair. He provided an array of roofing material selections and shingle colors from a well-known and reputable manufacturer which gave the roof an improved appearance. The work began on time. There were no surprises. The quality of work was excellent. His crew was very focused on their work effort and they were polite and professional too. I highly recommend Matt Hurd at South Coast Remodelers.

Matt was very responsive from the get-go. He was quick to answer my questions via email, and to setup a time to come and give us an estimate. He arrived on time, actually asked to arrive early and WE made him wait as the other contractor was still on site gathering info to give us his quote. Matt was EXTREMELY kind in waiting and actually suggested that himself. Matt had good ideas and suggestions and was responsive to our questions and our needs. I would not hesitate using Matt in the future. He appeared professional and knowledgeable of everything he was speaking about and reviewing at our cottage. We chose not to use South Coast Remodelers this time, only based on the cost. The other estimate came in lower.

I had an area on the roof that I was concerned about, I had him come out and take a look at it. Everything was fine.

He cleans up; he comes after I leave for work in the morning. I come home at night, the job is completely done and everything is clean and it's incredible. He does a good job and is a good carpenter. It came out absolutely beautiful. He doesn't waste your time, shows up, goes over things with you, he makes suggestions ; he is very, very professional, I'm very impressed.

Matt was professional and impressed us with his work ethic. Our initial quote was done at 8 am on Labor Day and he came to our home on a Sunday to finalize the contract prior to commencement of work. Work was started within 2 weeks of the quote and completed on Columbus Day...again impressive that he worked another holiday. Most contractors we have dealt with do not work on holidays nor weekends. Matt was punctual, arrived when he said he would and cleaned up after every work day. The roof would have been completed sooner, but we had a long period of very heavy rain which impeded progress. Communication with Matt via e-mail/phone was very good. The cost of the work was very reasonable compared with other quotes we received (for $8,000). The roof looks great and we will definitely consider him for future projects.

Matt Hurd was reliable and fair. On days approaching 90 degrees he did not roof because it could cause indents in the roof as he walked on it. Totally made sense. He really cared about how it looked and doing it well. He did everything that he said he would do and more - we are very pleased. We're already talking to him about other repairs not related to the roof.

It was fine. He was here around 15 minutes and did what he said he would. I thought it was overpriced since all he did was caulk.

Matt is a professional that knows what he is doing, is concerned with providing his customers with the best product at the best price. Went out of his way to show me all materials prior to commitment to do the job, explained all details before commencement of project. Within 2 days the whole job was finished and he and his crew left the jobsite clean. Very happy with the result.

Matthew Hurd (owner) and his crew were thorough and professional. Mr. Hurd was always communicative of the next step in the process and helped me pick the color and style of shingles for my new roof. He was always on time and cleaned up work-site after each visit. I plan on using Seacoast Remodeling on my kitchen and bath this summer and I know I will not be disappointed. Matthew Hurd is one of the BEST contractors that I have worked with since I owned my home (4 yrs) and he has a passion for construction.

It was ok. They got on the roof.

The roof looks great. Everything went according to the plan. Matt was professional and did exactly what he told me he would do. I was impressed when I came home from work and everything was completed and not a nail or shingle left on the ground! I would call him/them for any future jobs. As a matter of fact during the most recent rain storm the house had a leak. He came over and repaired it for $150.00. He also is great about keeping you updated via email as to what the plans are. We bought a house in Chatham that needed a new roof, had rotted trim and old shingles. Matt was very responsive and gave us a very competitive bid. Job was done professionally, even in some pretty difficult weather conditions. The best thing we can say is that they are responsive. You call, they answer the phone. If they say they are coming Monday, they show up Monday. We also had other odds and ends to deal with on the house like a couple of new windows, a new door, etc. Matt and crew would jump in and take care of it with confidence. I will be hiring Matt on future jobs for this house. He is our "go-to" guy for future projects.

A second trip had to be made, and Dan asked for an additional $100 becaise of the steep pitch of our roof where the shingles had to be replaced, requiring some bracing to be installed before the repairs could be made. I was a bit surprised at the requrest for additional funds to do a repair that took about 10 minutes, once the brace was in place. But the work was done quickly and efficiently, and the shings remiain solidly in place.

South Coast Remodelers was here for 15 minutes. He really wasn't around that much. He did what was on the big deal. Their pricing was fine.

Matt was very professional and good at keeping me in the loop with his progress. This job took longer than expected but when it was done it was done right. He had his father and brother take care of the painting and they did a great job and made me feel comfortable when i came home from work with them working in my house and I hadn't met them yet.

Matt was very responsive to my tight timeline. He was courteous and quickly inspected the roof and returned with good news that shingles are holding fine, so I don't have immediate need for replacement. He evaluated flashing around roof. Would definitely recommend.

The roof project went flawlessly. Everything we had discussed was completed with an eye toward quality and detail. It is a complicated roof with numerous valleys and flat rubber roofs. All done in the most workmanlike of manners. The work site was kept very clean and safe. I was kept informed of progress and any weather delays. I would recommend Matt Hurd and his team without hesitation.

I have not set a date yet to have the floor completed but Matt was helpful and informative about the different types of flooring. I would highly recommend Matt in future home projects.

I initially had contacted another roofer to replace the roof on our summer home. That roofer gave me a fast estimate but never returned my calls to set up the actual job. I then decided to look on Angie's List to find a reputable contractor. This is when I ran across Matt Hurd. I contacted him to get an estimate. He responded immediately and I had an estimate within a day. We scheduled a meeting to discuss the contract and to pick the style of shingles as well as the date of the job. He was very honest about what his work scope entailed! He completed the job on time and with no issues at all. He kept the job site clean, pickup all his debris and left our home as it was with the exception of the new roof he installed. I was most impressed with Matt in his communication with my wife and I. If we had any questions, he responded to calls, e-mails and text without delay. A trait truly lost in the construction industry. He kept us updated as the job progressed. He and his crew arrived when he said he would and completed the job on time. An excellent company to deal with!!!
