John was always responsive and timely. They had a good price and I had an excellent outcome.

It went very very well. There was a slight shortage of materials and then to make that even more complicated, we added some surfaces to the order. They were prompt and direct with the change orders. No surprises. Excellent disposition. Very nice people all around... office, installation, sales. We were happy enough that we are now discussing some other projects with them. Its not easy to find a contractor that answers the phone and shows up on time. So we had a low bar set for these guys and the best result was that they went far beyond those low expectations and helped us to reset the bar back to a higher place. That Was really a great experience.

It went very well. We visited the shop to look at samples, came home, did some research on our choices online and then called and ordered.

The experience was good overall. It was a long-distance job; I was in a different town, and they were very good with communicating and getting the job done!

They were professional in their dealings. If any time lasped between our communications, they were very apologetic. (Really no fault of theirs, just busyness and difficulties between when we were available and they were available.)

I contacted Emerald City at the beginning of August after purchasing a discount coupon on Angie's List for kitchen design. John came to my house a couple of days after I called. We had a discussion about what I was looking for and he sketched out a plan. He had some good suggestions about how to best utilize my space. He brought catalogs and samples; I picked out what I wanted and he put together a quote within a couple of days. I also went to Plymouth to the showroom and picked out other items (sink, tile, granite, cabinet pulls). After the cabinets were ordered, it took around 3 weeks for them to be made. The demo work started on September 7th and took less than 2 days; they were fast and clean. The house was built in 1952 so the floors are less than perfect but Paul was able to make it level. The cork floor had to be transitioned to the oak hardwood floors in my living room and dining room. It was seamless - fit perfectly with no threshold needed between dining room and kitchen. A small threshold was needed between living room and kitchen but it matches so well, you don't even notice it. As soon as the cabinets were finished they were installed. Matching crown molding all around finished off the look and really pulls it all together. After cabinet installation, the template was made for the granite countertops. The fabrication of the countertops took two weeks (which is exactly what I was told - 7 to 10 days). That was the only part that was kind of painful - because the sink is under-counter, I could not have the sink installed until the counters were ready. Three weeks without a kitchen sink was a long time for me. When the granite counters were installed; it was well worth the wait! Amazing! John also coordinated the plumber to install the faucets the same afternoon and I was back in business. The counters were cut and finished perfectly; they pulled it all together and the whole kitchen looks absolutely beautiful! There are a couple of finish items that still need to be completed but those will be done in the next week or so; these are due to some change I made during the process. Emerald City will also be installing a tile backsplash as soon as I can decide what I want. The estimated time of completion was the end of September - right on schedule. From first meeting to completion was 8 weeks. Also, there were no hidden "extra" costs - the price was exactly what was quoted. John, Shayna and their crew are knowledgeable, professional, talented and most of all extremely nice people. They also leave the work area as clean as they can so you're not left with a huge mess. I would recommend them (and already have) to anyone looking to have this kind of work done in their home.

The entire experience was excellent. We chose a very unique granite and the final product is beautiful. We never felt rushed; Emerald City Home Center knows this is an important decision and they respect that it takes time to pick out just what you want. John was very prompt, courteous and professional with the measuring and installation. Overall, an A+ job.
