I found John and his team through Angie's List and feel that they did a great job on my renovations. I was remodeling 2.5 baths in my condo in Falmouth (which included a new tile floor in the 1/2 bath, hallway and kitchen). John came out to my condo and measured everything, drew up plans on the spot and very quickly came back to me with a quote. I had one particular problem with space in the 1/2 bath, and John came up with a very practical and low-cost solution. Laurie in the office helped me choose great materials and provided me regular updates throughout the renovation. Emerald City was very easy to work with. My neighbors even commented on how dedicated they were throughout the renovation. The workers were there when they were supposed to be, and cleaned up well after themselves. And of course, the bathrooms came out AWESOME! I am so happy with the new bathrooms.

John at Emerald City did a fantastic job both in scoping the project out and specifying the project. He communicated very well during the process and, in spite of a couple of surprises on the project, was able to deliver a great job. The property is on Martha's Vineyard, requiring some coordination and ferry travel, and John was able to secure the correct materials so that it doesn't look like there was ever a mistake. The job was handled carefully, professionally and the results are great. It took a little longer than anticipated but there was good reason and any issues were quickly communicated so we could "course adjust" to accommodate. Pricing was fair. Highly recommended.
Description of Work: Emerald City replaced some shower bases on a relatively new house project where the previous contractor had installed the incorrect architect spec'd shower bases - there were two similar showers - and installed glass surrounds and doors. There were architectural drawings and specifications which provided most if not all of the guidance. The floor is a stone floor so it needed to be removed and replaced and matched with the existing floor in both bathrooms.

Ultimately a good shower. Process was painful. Comedy of errors at every juncture. Couldn't get products that we selected in their showroom. They substituted materials without consulting us and another product was totally faulty. If we had charged them for the extra time we had to spend on this project because of their errors, the shower would have been free. Nice people, inexperienced, likely have too much work to handle and don't manage or supervise any of their contractors. Make sure you get part numbers with photos as part of your contract, specify no substitutions and be specific about a completion date with penalties if not met. Very little regard to our time commitment to get the project done. 2 months late. In terms of the vendors that they contracted, here's our input: Plumber - did a great job . Tile Guy - a true craftsman. Very conscientious and hard working. Went above and beyond. Shower Door provider - horrible. Wrong door - twice. Caused significant delays and we ended up settling for the wrong door which we're not pleased with. The man left a huge mess - ruined the newly laid tile shower floor which had to be repaired twice and ultimately replaced, got grout all over our bathroom and dining room rug and trashed our step stool, which he need to borrow both times he was at our house. He has a single source for glass and this is the only provider that Emerald City uses. Emerald City declined to offer us any cleaning or commentary on the glass providers mess and performance. They actually blamed the glass guy for the issues. I don't put all of the blame on the shower door provider. I blame Emerald City for poor planning, lack of oversight, not being detailed enough to write down part numbers that we went to their showroom to pick out, not having a handle on or experience with sourcing or managing vendors or enough experience to actually oversee the project they were paid for. Again, ultimately a nice shower but wow, that was painful.

Emerald City LLC, owned and operated by John and Shayna Mahoney, did an outstanding job of remodeling a very dated shower and tub surround in our master bath. John was our point of contact and general contractor. He inspected the original shower, offered some design ideas, recommended the proper under-structure, and did all the measuring. To enlarge the shower area required installation of new lighting and a new exhaust fan, as well as new plumbing and fixtures. When we visited the showroom in Plymouth to choose tile and fixtures for the new shower, we found a bright, well-lighted establishment with plenty to choose from in every price range. John's crew did the demo work and installed the under-structure; the plumbing, tile, electrical, and glass work were subcontracted. All of the subcontractors arrived as promised, cleaned up after themselves, and were pleasant to work with. John's communications with us were outstanding; he is detail-oriented, receptive, and responsive. He kept in touch with us at every stage of the project and resolved issues quickly and professionally. We have nothing but praise for Emerald City and would hire them for any home improvement project.

They were great from beginning to end. The first time we visited the showroom, we were greeted and then were able to browse samples leisurely with no sales pressure. We really appreciated that. We went back a second time and mapped out exactly what we wanted.....down to the edging finish. Later that week, John came to measure and we signed the contract. Only two weeks later our gorgeous charcoal grey Silestone counters were installed,. The young men working at the house were extremely courteous and professional. They arrived on tiime, worked through lunch and cleaned up after themselves. They removed old countertops and sink, installed new countertops and sink in about 5 hours. Within 15 minutes of their departure, the plumber they had arranged arrived to hook up drink and faucets.

We dicided to hire Emerald city LLC to do the fireplace because we knew the Family for a long time and we thought that they would appreciate giving them the business and we would be happy with the outcome. Soon enough after the contract was signed, our regret to hire them was profound. We paid the first half of the cost on 09/25/13. The promise to have the fire place done by 10/19/2013 was broken. The project was completed on 11/19/2013. The worst customer service ever from Shayna and John/ the president/. The installers chipped the whole front edge of the hearth. When i called them to ask what happened John didn't believe me. When he came and saw it he said nothing. My husband did not want to cause any friction so he was very kind and nobel to say don't you worry I'll try to fix it somehow. I wish I can post pictures so my words are supported by evidence. From the very begging of the project he made us feel like we are inconveniencing him from here to the Moon. The company has the worst punctuality. They have never been on time for any of the appointments. The mental of the fireplace was done with the worst craftsmanship. The front edge looked like swiss cheese bothe corners were chipped. Horrendous work. On 11/19 after we asked them to redo the mental the finished product came with more scratches. I refused to pay the balance of $1923, because they should of compensate for the imperfections. And we gave them the business because we thought we would never have to worry about poor job. John's answer was that "we should of went with someone else". I was appalled by his response. I couldn't believe my ears. But then I thought to myself we should off went with someone else. He was right They offered us a discount of $100 and few days later they reversed it. they did not offer any compensation at all. They took us to court. We had two appraisals of the damages one for$450 and one for $800. The judgment was entered in the plaintiffs favor but the results were in ours. The judge have honored $500 damages. So instead of paying back $1923 plus attorney fees we paid back $1420+$50application fee+68interest. The conclusion is think twice before hiring Emerald City LLC.

Response from Emerald City LLC
Honestly, there was absolutely nothing we could do to satisfy this customer as you may gather from her review. We tried everything we could, as you’ll read in the details below. Unfortunately, she was the first customer we ever had to take to court. The judgment was in our favor and we’re not sure what she means by the results in her favor. She had to pay interest and in small claims you cannot claim lawyer fees. Additionally, another gentleman in the court room approached us to apologize that we had to deal with someone like her. He said she was the most difficult customer he has ever seen. Other local businesses should be warned before beginning any work with her. As for us having the “worst punctuality”, this can be shown otherwise with our call log. We tried to contact her multiple times and tried to see what she wanted us to do but she was very difficult to talk with. Three of us at Emerald City tried to talk to her but she was not working with us on a solution outside of court, even though her husband approved the installation when she was not home. Since she was not responding after multiple phone attempts, I sent her an e-mail on December 5th, 2013 and she didn’t respond until January 3rd, 2014, which is a lack in punctuality on her end while we are trying to run a business. Details: This customer ordered a very unique and expensive stone fireplace surround and hearth from us. We gave her a very good deal and included a lot of service items for no charge since we know her and she was a returning customer. We knew she was going to be difficult to deal with since she has been very picky in the past but we had no idea it would be this extreme. She wanted the fireplace done in multiple steps: First the hearth, then the customers installed the wood frame that goes on the outside and supports the mantle, then we had to go back to template the surround to custom make, then we went back to install the surround, then they installed the wood stove, then we came up with a custom design and templated the fireplace mantle. We had to attach two pieces of stone with 1” thick plywood between the stone to have it appear as 3” thick and then went to back to install it. 1. Her husband was responsible for installing the subfloor. Our installers went to install the heavy hearth piece and had to keep taking it in and out because the subfloor was not level. Needless to say, one of the edges ended up chipping. The husband was there and said not to worry because he would do a moulding and new hardwood floors and it wouldn't be noticed. They then had the wood stove installed on top of it so we thought everything was fine. 2. We templated and then went back to install the hearth and she was unhappy with the color of the edge. (We did a detailed edge, which changed color the deeper we cut into the stone.) We had to go back, uninstall the mantle and come up with a resolution to darken it, which John personally handled himself. This cut into our time and cost but we were trying to satisfy her. We came up with a very nice solution and scheduled to complete the installation. At this point we weren’t aware of her having any other concerns. She just wanted it completed. 3. We went back and installed the mantle a second time. The fireplace looked beautiful and was completed that day. When John and our two installers were done she asked for the invoice, pointed to it and said she wasn't paying. This was very upsetting because she watched all the time we put into it, it was completed and she knew the balance was due that day. John left because he wasn’t getting anywhere with her and she said she would have her husband call us. This was in November. After four phone messages, two e-mails and weeks, she finally responded by e-mail and said she had no intention to pay the balance that was due on completion, according to the contract she signed at the beginning. I asked her why and she said because of the chips and the time she had to wait, even though she added all of the extra steps and her husband said the chips were not a problem. We have never had to get an attorney or go to court with a customer before but there didn’t seem like there was much else we could do. At that point we had a lot of time and money invested in materials and labor. The court agreed with us that she had to pay since she signed the contract, everything was completed, and she installed the woodstove on top of the hearth. If there was a problem, it should have been addressed before. We try our best to satisfy our customers. We have many positive reviews showing our punctuality and honesty on our jobs. We realized that there are some people who just don't appreciate things no matter what is done.

Shauna and John make an excellent team. We never had an issue getting in touch with them and they were extremely responsive to every email we sent. They made changes to our plans quickly and if they needed a couple days to complete it, they let us know. We would without a doubt recommend them again for ANY remodeling needs you may have.

I originally saw the company with a Supersaver deal of $1499 for 40sq feet of granite. I inquired the company about an estimate based on measurements so I could assess overall cost to include sink, backsplash, and any other variables. I wanted to be sure I knew what the overall cost would be. The estimate included the entire job in the $1499. This was the expectation set by the company ( I have the email invoices documented). This was an owner who provided this quote ( not an employee that was not trained). I paid for the deal and waited for the construction crew to be ready for install. I picked the granite from the select 5 choices provided and decided on variables. The day the template work was done, I was out of state. The day prior t template work at 3 pmish I received an altered invoice with a 40% increase indicating that I would own another $1300 for the work. I could not be back in-state soon enough to meet with the other owner while he conducted the template. My construction guys were there. I called the owner and expressed my concern about the increase and indicated that I would need to assess this new amount and why was it not included in the original estimates. Estimates have a variability of 10% maybe 20% but 40% - not acceptable. He indicated that I had 60 square feet of granite - why was this not indicated with initial estimates given that the measurement provided were accurate? My contractor indicated that to find another granite company at that late date would jeopardize the job timelines so I kept with them ( plus I already paid the 1499 through Angies list). I paid the 650$ they wanted prior to the job on top of the 1499 ( well over the 50-% noted in contract but my hands were tied). Granite was installed with a last minute question about the integrity of the walls ( 2pm of install day - 1 hour from the installers leaving time) interesting given that the owner was on the property twice because he completed the template wrong the first time. Plus the contractor was here for the entire install and could have answered any concerns. They then charged my credit card for the last payment without my permission or authorization and are refusing to refund it. Interesting business strategy. they know I pay given my history but refuse to refund credit card to allow a check payment. The credit card company will be disputing this and the payment via check will not occur until the refund is clear. If this is representative of an Angies list business practice for super saver, count me out. By the way, I am a customer for several Angies list companies and ALL would vouch for my payment history, not that I as a customer should be being questioned.
Description of Work: Installed a granite counter for kitchen. I refused service for bathroom granite given their estimate to invoice inconsistencies. I was stuck with the kitchen install because of Angie's supersaver and time constraints for project.

Response from Emerald City LLC
I apologize about such a long response, but we feel it's needed for members to understand this in its entirety. We are honestly so disappointed that this customer felt the need to write this review. We have been nothing but responsive to her. We were in contact with her throughout the process with the details through e-mail, which was her chosen choice of communication. Whenever she had a question or needed anything, we responded quickly and clearly. 1. We specifically noted the additional cost above the $1,499 for the Deal. We are very clear about additional costs because we don’t want any surprises for our customers. The original estimate states: Angie's List Big Deal $1,499 *Not to be used with any other offers Includes: Up to 40 square feet of low-end granite Pencil Edge Fabrication Undermount Sink Cutout Template Installation Additional Square Footage with 4" Backsplash 20.23 X $49.95=1,010.49 Double Bowl Stainless Steel Sink=275 Sales Tax=17.19 Total=1,450.53 The e-mail with the estimate attached says, “Hi [member name removed]" Attached is the estimate for your granite countertops. This is the additional cost based on the Angie's List Big Deal 5 colors. The island is based on 78" X 36". It also includes a double bowl stainless steel sink. Please let me know if you have any questions or need anything else. Thanks! Shayna” I honestly don’t think we could have been more clear that this was additional. She has a large island and added backsplash, which was 20.23 square feet over the 40 square feet. She also added a sink, which the Deal says is not included. We went back and forth with her and she also asked us to price her kitchen cabinets. We sent her that estimate and then followed up a few times. We didn’t talk to her until she purchased the Deal on Angie’s List’s website. She didn’t ask any questions about the original estimate. 2. When her cabinets were ready, she contacted us to schedule the template. She asked us to bring the granite samples so she could decide while we were there doing the template. She also asked us to add to her invoice: ¼ Round Edge 48” Vanity Top installed with 3” Backsplash Vanity Sink Shelf (Which we added for no extra charge) This added $655.32 to the original estimate of $1,450.53. How can she say there was a large increase when she added items that were not clearly included in the deal? We sent her the updated estimate so she understood the breakdown of the items she added and told her to let us know if she had any questions before the template. She responded that she was uncomfortable with the new estimate. After the discussion with her and her contractor, she decided to remove all the extras and move forward with only the kitchen countertops and sink. She was not at the template like she said she would be. This is when we review all of the countertop details including the deposit and balance. John calculated the square footage at the house with her contractor. It came out lower, so we lowered the price of the countertops. She did come to our showroom with her daughter to view the granite selections and John reviewed the updated estimate with her in detail. They went over the differences and the less expensive price. We then e-mailed her a copy of the contract and asked her to respond with her confirmation. At the bottom of the contract it states, “Customer agrees balance is due at completion of work. If deposit is made by credit card, customer understands the same card may be charged.” She responded and said we could charge her card. John did forget one measurement so he had to go back up there on his own expense and time. This didn’t affect the schedule or inconvenience her. It was a simple thing he forgot that can’t be described as “he completed the template wrong”. 3. We then scheduled her installation in a timely fashion. Once again, the customer was not home. Our installers noticed when they went to install the granite backsplash that the new sheetrock that her contractor just repaired was uneven, which showed a gap at the top. Our installers and John discussed this with her contractor in depth and left her a message since she was apparently in class and left him in charge. Her contractor said to go ahead and install the granite backsplash and he would take care of the walls and explain it to her. We completed the installation and didn’t hear from the customer at all. The following day we sent her an e-mail with her final invoice, with no additional charges. We said we appreciated her business and said we could charge the same credit card. We didn’t get a response after a few days, so we charged her card and sent her the paid invoice. She then responded and threatened to refund her card or she would take legal action. In another e-mail, she stated, “I will remit appropriate payment via check at my convenience... The only positive in any of this interaction is the granite is beautiful but even you cannot take credit for mother nature although I am sure you will try.” This was such a shock to us! She is saying the granite is beautiful but wanted to pay at her convenience. We take our customer’s satisfaction seriously but we are in business and our policy doesn’t include a customer deciding when she wants to pay us. It is ridiculous she felt she could do that. She received a credit card refund and paid us by check over a month later. We’re honestly not sure what we could have done differently. Usually we use our reviews for constructive criticism and try to make adjustments yet this is extremely confusing. We were very clear about the added costs from the beginning and extremely responsive throughout the entire process. We have every e-mail to prove that. This appears to be a customer who was rushing to get her kitchen done and wasn’t as involved and understanding in the process as she should have been. You should take this as advice to be involved with projects in your home and if you have any questions, just ask! We offered this Deal to help homeowners save money on their countertops but if we are going to gain customers who don’t read the fine print or ask questions before purchasing, then we don’t feel comfortable offering those discounts. This was also all discussed with an Angie’s List Representative who was apologetic that a member gave us so much difficulty, especially for such a small and discounted job. We want our customers to be happy and also value and appreciate the work and time that goes into a beautiful, custom countertop.

Note: Ratings for this job were very difficult for us. The final product deserves an A/B review, but the process to get there deserves lower. We averaged the initial and final results in most cases to give a score for each category. This was the first major project we had done on our first house- very new to this process. We chose Emerald city because the price seemed reasonable, the reviews on Angie's List were good, and John seemed straightforward and honest when we met with him. In retrospect, it appears that a lot of the (very positive) Emerald City reviews are counter top and cabinet work vs full bath remodels. I think John mentioned they're branching out more into this area, but certain aspects of the remodel process felt new to us. A counter or cabinet install is definitely a different scope than what we commissioned. We described what we wanted in our bathrooms, but it didn't feel like Emerald city can provide much in terms of design or aesthetic advice. I think we needed more help there given our newness to the process- it was difficult to picture how things would look when making choices. One of the first things to understand was our quote- plumbing and electric are contracted separately and we didn't receive the estimates from the subcontractors until we were involved in the process. We knew some rerouted plumbing would be required for the new shower, but it ended up being about $5k. This made it very hard for us to compare quotes between other companies as most give a full price. Overall, we received the bathrooms we wanted, but there were quite a few speed bumps along the way. This was often due to poor communication between us, John, and his subcontractors/ employees. Some examples: we asked that the downstairs toilet be saved, it was thrown out; we asked that a recessed medicine cabinet be placed upstairs where they removed the old one, instead a vent pipe was routed there preventing this; we asked that fan and light be on separate switches, they ended up on the same switch. In all of these situations, the error was both acknowledged and corrected or explained, but these could have been avoided with more supervision and communication. Demolition was a lot more aggressive than needed- somehow holes were made through walls into sheetrock behind, the floor was removed beyond the door threshold into the kitchen and scratched, etc.- this involved a great deal of touch up work by the painter. The paint work was not always of the quality we would have liked. The lines were not cut as smoothly in corners and color choices on wood staining were not correct the first time. We were also very disappointed that floors in our house were never protected in this process- materials were kept in various rooms and floors were scratched permanently. Lastly, the tile/grout work was disappointing in quality. We were interested in pebble tiles in the upstairs shower. However, they were over-grouted to the point of being flat and hidden. The instructions for the product were not followed and this involved ripping up the work and starting over. The replacement product is still not perfect- grout levels are uneven/higher where the surface slopes down to the drain causing the grout to look darker in places. Overall, we would have liked to be consulted more about everything- where to place things, whether to remove things, does this look ok? Each day involved a list of things to fix. More time on site from John and more questions asked would have made us a much happier, and perhaps repeat customer. The final touch-ups were finished yesterday ~3 months after starting and now we have 2 beautiful bathrooms.
Description of Work: Remodeled 2 bathrooms in 1950's Cape. Converted upstairs 1/2 bath into 3/4 bath (tile walk in shower) by removing part of a closet and reframing the area. Rerouted plumbing for shower. Updated downstairs full bath- replaced shower/tub combo. All new fixtures in both baths. New electric to both baths, added ventilation.

Thank you for your detailed review. Obviously we wish the review was more positive but we feel our communication was better than you make it appear, seeing as we e-mailed just about on a daily basis to touch base and keep you updated on the progress. As you know, we have other customers and John can't always be at a job site, especially if he will be in the way of the workers. If you had specific concerns during the process, you could have absolutely called our office. We understand it is your first remodeling project but it is an older home and some things came up that were out of our control. We tried our best to handle any issues without any additional cost to you. We realize there were issues with the flooring on the first floor, but it's because it was there for so long and it didn't come up as easily as expected. The sub-floor ran beyond the door jam and while pulling it up, a part of the old vinyl tile had chipped off. This was an unknown concern ahead of time. We purchased and installed the threshold for this purpose. Regarding the toilet, it was a mistake that we did take responsibility for. We rarely ever keep older toilets during a remodel demolition and our laborers forgot that we told them to set it aside. We purchased you a brand-new toilet with a self-closing lid at no additional cost to you. In regards to the pebble tile, we also took full responsibility for it being over-grouted and purchased new tile and re-did the installation. Regarding the subcontractors, we had them meet with you prior to beginning the work so you could all be on the same page. They did give you estimates before any of us began any work. As you know, we referred the plumber and electrician to you as a courtesy and not for profit since they charged you separately. We can't take responsibility for their work but we take into consideration any concerns that come up with a customer to decide if we will refer them again in the future. We do realize there were unexpected plumbing costs because of the age of the home. This was out of anyone's control. Regarding the paint, we will take it into consideration and look for a new painter. We wish you mentioned this to us previously. All of these subcontractors were people we have used on many other jobs. We try to use the same people so we have confidence in their work and customer satisfaction. We are sorry you had to write a review like this for us and wish you were able to call us prior to discuss your concerns so we could all learn from this experience. We hope you have learned that there are unexpected things that can come up during home projects. However, we are happy you are happy with the final product of both bathrooms. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call our office.

The work done was terrible and left incomplete. All the tile is glued down, not level. All the tile is miss-matched and off center. There are spots where the tile sticks up in areas where you can stub your toe. The contractor went into my bank account and paid himself. I went to police station, filed a complaint, then to my bank. Now I have recieved a lawyers letter from them demanding payment. The job is not finished. The OWNER came back post all work installation and said "It looks fine to me." I do not want them back in my house. I would not recommend them to any other consumer.
Description of Work: The owner John came to give me an estimate, I went to the store and picked out tile. They hired a sub contractor to do the work and he made a mess of my property.

The customer originally came in at the beginning of 2013 to look at tile for her bathroom floor and shower. She decided to just do the bathroom floor and placed the tile order with us and gave a credit card deposit on 9/7/13. At this time she was still deciding on her final material selection so we printed an invoice based on her first selection. She decided on something else a few days later and we told her it would be more expensive and she said to go ahead with the order. At the end of September, when the material came in and the customer was ready, we sent our tile installer to begin the installation after reviewing the design with John. When our installer was there, the customer wasn’t home. Her husband didn't like the tile pattern with the 2 X 2 and 13 X 13 tiles. He said to not use the 2 X 2 tiles and our installer talked to her on the phone about it. They agreed not to use the 2 X 2 tiles and to install just the 13 X 13 tiles. After the install, she came in to show us pictures because she felt the layout was incorrect and wanted John to come see it. Shayna scheduled a time for John to go by to look at it. While in our showroom, she also mentioned multiple times how frustrated she was with her husband for changing the design. She understood it wasn’t our fault he didn’t like it. When John went to the house, he observed that the tile installation pattern was started off of the outside wall of the stand-up shower. This put the most full tiles in view when walking into the bathroom. The majority of the time, a bathroom size never matches up so there aren’t any cut tiles. The way her tile was laid out, put all of the cut tiles in the washer/dryer closet against the back wall, out of view. If we did it another way, there would have been more cut tiles in the actual view when walking into the bathroom. After John gave her the explanation, she agreed that it was the proper way. When the clean up was complete on 10/5/13, we left the customer multiple messages to see what she thought of the finished product and to ask for the final payment: 10/7/13-John left message. 10/9/13-John left message. 10/10/13-John left message. 10/11/13-Shayna left message saying we assumed she was happy with everything since the installer grouted and cleaned up on 10/5/13. We said we would apply the balance to her credit card if we didn’t hear back. 10/12/13-Customer left a message after hours but didn’t say not to charge her card. 10/13/13-John left message. 10/21/13-Call went right to voicemail. Shayna left a message. The customer called very upset to say she contacted her bank and the police because we charged her card without her approval and it was the wrong amount. Shayna explained to her that the original invoice showed a different tile that was less expensive than her final choice. She remembered that. She said she would contact her bank to make sure they didn’t charge our account if we would refund her for the 2 X 2 tiles they didn’t use. Although our invoice clearly states no refunds on special order tiles, we agreed. The customer claimed she was pleased that we would give her a refund and just told us to drop off a check in her mailbox. They had a fine conversation and she thanked Shayna. Shayna asked if she wanted us to e-mail an invoice and she said no and she trusted that Shayna would handle it properly. On November 1st, 2013, John dropped off a check in her mailbox. We weren’t aware of any other problems until we noticed her bank took a refund as well as her cashing the refund check. She now has two refunds from us. Shayna has left her multiple messages since December 16th, 2013 to ask the reason for the chargeback and to request the balance. In May, we had our lawyer send a letter requesting the money she still owes us because it is now past the time where we can do a chargeback or a stop payment. We feel that we have been extremely responsive with her throughout this entire process and thought everything was fine when we dropped off the check on 11/1/13 and it was cleared in our account. We are extremely disappointed that she had to write such a negative review when we have been nothing but responsive, as you can see by our call log. She didn’t even have the decency to return our calls or request anything else from us since we last spoke at the end of October. We feel that we did everything she asked and even gave a refund for tiles her husband didn’t want to use, even though we don’t give refunds on special orders. We have tried to satisfy this customer and thought we had until we read this review. We are obviously in business and we need to get paid for our completed work and materials. Customer service is important to us however there is only so much we can do when a customer says she’s satisfied and then isn’t communicative after that.

Thanks for the review [member name removed]. I'm sorry you felt you had to give us a C when we thought we were very responsive with our initial measurement, estimate and meeting in the showroom. We did leave you multiple messages when you requested a quote from our plumber but didn't hear back in regards to it. We're sorry we weren't able to work with you but wish you luck with the project.

I was very pleased with how smooth the entire process went from initial meeting with John Mahoney, next day home visit for measurement and then installation by Zak and Bob about 10 days later. I would definitely use them for future projects.
Description of Work: |They installed a granite countertop and undermount sink in a bathroom. In addition, they arranged for the plumber to install the faucets.
