Description of Work: I cannot say enough good things about them. We had our roof redone including replacing four skylights and removing two. They also did some fascia work. The company owner, Brett, was very helpful and always had great contact with me. If I called and had to leave a voicemail, he always returned my calls within the hour. His crew was punctual and took great care of the house and its surroundings. They worked non-stop 12-hour days to get the job completed. When they were done, the cleaned up everything. Also, there were a couple of questions I had for the first week or so after the job was done and Brett was always there to answer. We got quotes and recommendations from about eight roofers before deciding to use Baron. I'm so glad we did! We have other home renovations in mind for the future and will definitely use this company. I strongly recommend them for any job.

Description of Work: Way Over Priced! |The boss never to came out to see the premises to assess the situation. Based on the square footage of the house I was told that to clear my roof of snow and ice, it would take 2 1/2 hours and the cost would be $1100. When the workers arrived, I tried talking to the boss by phone to get the price down but he said he wouldn't make anything on the job if he did that. I can't remember the exact date because another storm was coming and water was already seeping into my house both upstairs and downstairs and I needed to get the snow that was already there, off. I had already called other companies who were booked up or I was told I'd be put on a list. This company did respond very quickly (it was on a Sunday that I called and they came on Monday and I was desperate) It took the guys under 45 minutes to complete the job.The boss called and said he would take $100 off the original price. I even had neighbors lined up to use his services ,but like he said, I needed to makeup my mind as he had lots of other people waiting. I hope never to get caught in a situation like that again. I won't be using his company again.

+ -1 moreBarron Home Improvement did a great job. They were very professional from the estimate stage all the way through the completion of the project. During the estimate, Brett (the owner) explained everything really well and was very pleasant. He provided tons of references and showed lots of examples of his work too. I had other estimates, but decided to go with Barron because of how thorough Brett's presentation was and how cocmmitted he seemed to customer service. After we signed a contract, Brett did a great job of keeping in touch with us. He got our roof done within just a few weeks - he very kindly moved us to the front of his schedule because we had a leak in our roof that was causing damage to our ceiling. On the day of the project, Brett and his crew got here promptly and finished the whole job in one day. After, Brett took us on a tour around the property to show us the work and make sure we were happy. We were very happy with the whole experience and would definitely recommend Barron Home Improvement to anyone else.

Brett provides top notch customer service and will be there through the completion of your project, he does not pass the job off to a crew. With Baron you will receive top quality service for a competitive price. They will not be the cheapest but you’re getting a high quality product for a company that will stand behind their work for years. Baron replaced my Asphalt roof and had the job completed in 1 day, and job was completed professionally as the crew was well experienced. My property was treated with the upmost respect & care. I would recommend to all.
Description of Work: Barron Home Improvement replaced my asphalt roof with new 30 year architectural shingles. I started the project in early May 2012 and settled on Barron as they provide the highest quality product as the most reasonable price. I upgraded the shingle type after the quote and Brett had no problem updating the proposal and getting the correct products ordered. Brett’s customer service is what swayed me and I am glad I made that decision as his goal is to get the job done right. The overall project went great there were no issues. Brett stopped by my house on a number of occasions to give me updates as the particular shingle I choose had a small delay in shipment. The crew arrived on the agreed upon installation date early and had the entire project completed in one day, (strip, install new roof, and clean entire grounds of debris & nails).

+ -1 moreNot the lowest cost, not the highest cost. Brett had a ridiculous number of references, good listening skills. I upgraded shingle type post estimate which cost me more. I have a beautiful roof on a very old house. Recommended.
Description of Work: Tore off old dilapidated wood shakes, made repairs, shingled both house and garage/barn. Provided enough matching shingles to shingle cottage later. After agonizing over the selection, we chose an architectural shingle. Roof is not standard with planks instead of plywood decking.

He was willing to work with us in terms of timing and was ready to reshuffle the schedule to start early, so that they finished before late. When I questioned him about something, he came back and looked at it, which was really good. I will use him again in the future.

+ -1 moreBrett spent considerable time explaining what would be done in replacing my roof. He made a point of showing me the Grace Ice & Water Shield to be use on the roof and said I should make sure that I used that brand on my roof. After showing me pictures of bad roofing jobs done by other contractors, he gave me an itemize quote. His quote was the highest of the five I received. I chose another contractor for two reasons. In the winter I have an ice dam problem. The other contractor wraps the ice and water shield down onto the fascia and over the drip edge. Also his quote was 23% less than Brett's.
Description of Work: Brett gave me an estimate to replace my roof. He was very professional and likable and had a three page list of references.

+ -1 moreBrett returned my initial call in a timely manner and came out on a weekend to do the estimate. His estimate was professional and was presented along with a list of references. We received three quotes and Baron's estimate was a very fair one. When we called Brett to move forward he came right out to our home to sign the contract and show us shingle samples. We had some leaks and Baron was able to add us to their schedule in a timely manner. The job was completed in just one day and everything was cleaned up at the end of the day. My husband has some construction experience and he was impressed with the quality of work from Brett and his team. They truely went above and beyond and used the best quality products. I would definitely call Baron Home Improvement again and I would recommend them to my family and friends.

+ -1 moreAfter first call, Brett promptly inspected the roof and provided estimates and options for repair and/or replacement of the roof. Took pictures to demonstrate the roof and chimney damage which was very effective. Answered all questions and provided different options. He was very timely and communicated frequently and well. After signing agreement the job was completed very timely. He removed all debris and left our property cleaner than he found it! Again, he showed us pictures of the roof when it was stripped and of the repairs they had done. Overall, he was very professional, personable and met with us at our requested times. Great workmanship.I would definately call him again.

+ 1 moreBaron was referred to me by a friend who had been pleased by their roofing work. Baron was very quick, very professional, and highly competent. Despite work being interrupted by an ice storm, they removed the old shingles, gutters, and 2nd floor siding, judged the underlying wood planking to be sound, installed the flashing that should have been put in by the previous owner, and got the house back together with no issues. Also I'd had pigeons nesting in the eaves, and they replaced the animal control netting with much more durable aluminum boxes. In the five years since the roof was replaced I've had no problems with the roof or the gutters. I'm on their referral list and have had several calls, and Baron uses pictures of my house (with my permission) online. My attic at the time had no access. I've since cut into there to insulate and was able to verify both that the wood planking is indeed sound, and that neither water nor bird has been able to enter.
Description of Work: Replaced the asphalt roof with new shingle, replaced the gutters, replaced the vinyl siding on the 2nd floor dormers, re-leaded the chimney, added ridge vents.

+ -1 moreIt went very well. Brett returned phone calls promptly, was on time for every appointment and was professional and courteous in every interaction. The workers arrived when he said they would, did the job quickly and cleanly, and finished within the time frame promised. Brett was upfront about what things they might find that would cause the cost of the job to go over the estimate for the work, and laid out exactly how much any of those things would increase the price of the job. After the workers left, we discovered that the glass in the light fixture by our front door had been broken by the workers. My husband called, and Brett immediately offered to send us a check for $50, more than we indicated the lamp had cost us. We had the check within two days.
Description of Work: We hired them to replace the roof on our house, tearing up the old shingles and replacing everything from the wood layer. They removed the old singles, placed a new felt layer and new shingles on the roof and installed a ridgeline vent. They cleaned up and removed all the debris from the construction job.
