It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. The man did a wonderful job on the inspection and patching nail holes and that sort of thing but then I had to sit through a whole hour long presentation on why I should put a new roof on my house. No matter how good he is ad I'm sure he is, I don't need a new roof and I'm not going to spend $12,000 with him to get one. He was very thorough, very professional, and very good but his main objective and I don't blame him for going around doing these things is so he could sell you a new roof. There were no extra charges. It was just the $89 price of the Big Deal. That was exactly what I paid for which is what I needed to find out if everything was okay. Anybody who was looking for that, he'd be a good person to call. I'm sure the roof would all be the best quality because he basically promoted himself as not being the low priced but not being the highest priced either and that he uses the best quality and did over and above with the basic requirements.

Brett was very responsive, took time to explain each facet of proposed work, showed pictures on an iPad of the job sequence, offered upgrades to materials, and how they benefit the overall job. Took the time to get up on the Roof, even though it was raining, and pointed out weaknesses in the original roofing which led to failure. Returned calls immediately. Ultimately used another contractor, whose overall proposal we liked better, but would heartily recommend Brett to anyone needing any Home Improvement work. Super impressed with his responsive style of business.

From the first contact of getting an estimate to the final day of completion, it couldn't have gone better. Brett was a true professional and a pleasure to deal with. He kept us informed from start to finish and we knew what was going on all the time. If I called him with a question and he didn't answer, he always called back within 10 minutes. The crew was very efficient and professional as well. The day the job was completed, when they left my home, everything was so clean that you would never have known they were even there. The roof was completed in just one day and it looked perfect. Baron Home Improvement was a little more expensive than the other estimates I received, which is the reason for the "B" on the price rating, but I am a true believer in the old saying.... "You get what you pay for". Th extra cost was well worth it. We couldn't more satisfied with the job and the people. I would use Baron again without a second thought. Thank you Brett........

In a word Baron Home Improvement is...Awesome! Brett was phenomenal. I investigated home improvement specialists through Angie's list. After much research, the three contractors that I met with were punctual and offered detailed estimates. In terms of price, they were all relatively close. Brett, however, was different from the other two right from the beginning. He spent a great deal of time with my wife and I explaining the process and stressed the importance of communication, honesty, integrity, quality craftsmanship and a team of workers that are respectful and hardworking. True to his word, Brett delivered on all counts! I must say that it is heartening to come across a consummate professional! As our work was being accomplished, Brett led us through every step of the way; providing us with sound advice and options that were reasonable and honest! In the end, our project came out fantastic! I can say without a doubt the best thing you can do is go with Brett...it will be headache free and, like me, you will have a contractor for life!

found Brett and Baron Home Improvement on Angie's list, read reviews, took note of the Angie's award they recevied and contacted Brett regarding a ceiling leak that had developed in one of the upstairs bedrooms after a lengthy rainstorm that covered two to three days. He called and scheduled appointment, responded and inspected cause of leak which turned out to be torn flashing around vent tube. He also noticed other imperfections while on the roof and showed them to me. I agreed and asked for a price to replace the whole roof. He provided a great price and stated it would be done in one day, showing me photos on his ipad of other roofing jobs to demonstrate how the job would done. His crew arrived as scheduled on the agreed upon day, tarped the entire area around the house and installed the new roof, completing job by 5:30pm same day. Crew was professional and completely cleaned up the area after they were done. I was away at the time but was updated by my wife who monitored their work thru out the day and stated how impressed she was. We are very happy with the job they did. So much so that we are having Brett do additional work for us, installing a new counter top and back splash in the kitchen. I would HIGHLY recommend him for any home improvement project one might have. I will use him for all my future home improvement needs.

Brett was friendly, professional, and appeared very thorough. He explains "the whys," and that helps you learn. It's tough to tell if the minor repairs did the trick just yet. Nonetheless, I would not hesitate to have him back.

It went very well. Brett is the best -- very personable, responsive, and responsible. He went out of his way to answer every question and accommodate our needs and work schedules. He responded to every phone call and e-mail almost immediately. His customer service could not have been better. Before signing the contract, I called many of his references, and all of them gave him an A+ for work he had done on their homes. The work was done (in a single day) just a few days after I signed the contract. He required one-third of the money up front, two-thirds after completion.

Working with Brett was a pleasure. We first contacted him before closing on our new house, he quickly showed up to inspect the roof and to give us an estimate. He spent quite a bit of time explaining what was good with the roof and what wasn't. He explained many of the aspects of the job using pictures on his iPad. Brett does quality work and he is (rightfully) proud of it. He will go over all the details of the job with you, keeping you informed every step of the way. That is probably one of the best part of working with Brett, he keeps you informed. I was away during the main part of the job and Brett kept sending me pictures of the progresses every hour. I can also tell you that Brett's crew did an awesome job at protecting the house and cleaning up the yard and driveway. I haven't found any debris or nail so far. We definitely recommend Baron Home Improvement to anyone. The quality of the work is exceptional and the piece of mind provided by Brett is invaluable.

Brett called me and was able to arrange a meeting time. He went over the options and the pros and cons of each. We agreed on an option and he had his staff on site the next day .... he was doing a job close by. His crew was very professional and prompt. Appeared to know what they were doing and did a great clean up of work. Very pleased.

Brett contacted mt shortly after I purchased an Angie's List coupon for roof repair. We had an addition built a couple of years ago and the house had developed leaks in both the original and new section of the house. He walked me through what needed to be done and he had his crew out to do the job a week later. The work was phenomenal and they finished the entire job in 1 day. Two sheets of plywood had to be replaced, but we expected that because some of the leaks had been happening for a while. They covered sections of the yard with tarps for keeping the job clean and when they left the job at about 7:30PM, the yard was spotless. Brett kept me up to date on the progress of the job and took pictures to show us where specific leaks were coming from and how they would be prevented with the new roof. We also had some old lumber and siding in our garage, which he let us add to the dumpster before it was taken away. We were completely satisfied and we would definitely hire again.

Brett is very personable, knowlagible and is prompt highly detaile oriented,which made him very pleasant to deal with. He was in constant communication with me and my wife throughout the whole project which took several days to complete due to the amount of work involved. He informed us of every step that was going to take place including emailing me pictures while I was at work.Always asked me every day if I had any questions about the work and that was great to deal with.Brett is totally different than other contractors I have used in the past. I was very impressed with the detail he put into the estimate and we did negotiate a little on price, but the work done is excellent and top quality which is what I wanted. The work was done as specked out and I was very happy with quality of the work and clean up after when the work was complete. I would not hesitate to have him back for other projects at my home. I did not at any time feel like I had to check to make sure that shortcuts were not being taken.

He gave us a professional presentation. He gave us lots of references so talk to him. They were very responsive. We went with another company that was a little bit cheaper.

The whole transaction occurred during the holiday season, between 12/16 and 12/30. Brett, the owner, demonstrated an almost fanatic attention to customer service and to addressing our concerns. A week would pass between the time the contract was signed and the day the roof was to be done, with a storm forecast over that weekend. Seeing our worry, he clambered up and put up a plastic tarp we had onhand that protected the leaky corner till the full repair could be made. Every stage of the repairs was accompanied by a confirming phone call, including the delivery of materials. Given the changing weather forecasts and the holiday season, we could ask for no more scheduling help than we got. The day of construction went very smoothly: a sunny, windless day. A large crew appeared on schedule, and they were courteous, professional, and downright helpful. For example, while they worked on the roof I applied myself to disassembling a large wooden playhouse/swingset that had been outgrown, so it could be carted off with the old roof shingles. During a break, one of the workers came by with a tool he thought would help me as I struggled with cracking the rusty bolts. Brett's thoroughness extended in all directions. Some rotting trim, out of reach to us, was taken down. He inspected our roof vents, stuck his head into our attic to check the interior, and confirmed that our bathroom vent pipe was working and not leaking. At his direction the workers cleaned our gutters and performed some minor repairs to a damaged section. When they had gone you could not tell they were there, so thorough was the cleanup. Remember the playset I mentioned earlier? During our final walkaround inspection Brett went to his truck, returned with a portable power saw, and chopped up some of the larger sections -- then helped me carry them over to and swing them into the dumpster. Looking back, we can think of nothing bad to say about our experience with Baron Construction, and we highly endorse them to do your roof.

We will be using his company again in the future.

It did not take them much time to do the work, and it was finished on time.

They did an excellent job. We enjoyed their service. The cost was competitive. He went out of his way to show us what had been previously done to the roof. He showed us before and after pictures and just really exceeded my expectations. The product was excellent and they gave us different choices and explained what each type of material was.

Brett is a terrific communicator! Right from the bid process through the end of the job he was clear, concise and timely with his phone, text and email communications. I knew the services he was going to provide and when they would be completed. It made the challenge of integrating a pretty sizable renovation into our busy schedules much easier. He works with quality craftsman that demonstrated their skill thru each phase of the job. They performed the work as quoted, offered timely, fair suggestions for changes as concerns were uncovered and did a real good job cleaning up. My brother is a home builder in Maine with 40 years experience and he was impressed with Brett's communication, building knowledge and his team's work. Baron is my choice for any future home improvements to our primary residence and summer cottage!!

He not only prepared us for what was going to happen the day of the repair (we liked that he said the job would only take one day, also), he prepared our chimney guy by contacting him ahead about the coordination, and he considered our neighbors. Brett knocked on their doors the morning of the repair, and made sure that their vehicle was not in the way of falling debris. His team was tireless! They worked from 7 am to after 5 pm, almost without break. They took care and with the home by draping it, and cleaned up beautifully. Early on, Brett became aware of work done by our chimney guy that wasn't up to his roofer's standards. He worked with me and the chimney repair person, and ultimately had to replace the lead on the chimney for an additional cost. He helped us communicate with the chimney company, and they responded by agreeing to credit us for the cost that Brett's company charged us. This is the benefit of having the owner on the job the day of the job. It is also the benefit of knowing you can reach him if you have any questions. This is the benefit of having someone do your roof who cares deeply about service to the customer and quality of work done/reputation. This is the benefit of hiring someone with excellent communication skills. We were so happy and relieved when the work was done. The look of the new roof, adds such curb appeal. We are so grateful for the ease, peace, and excellence in having Brett and his team do this job. We will definitely hire them again.

The roof repair was completely unexpected, since you our house is only 7 years old. We noticed a water spot (directly below the stink pipe) on the ceiling in the master bedroom (which has the roof directly above). I originally intended just to have the pipe problem fixed, but each of the contractors who looked at the problem observed that the shingles were in rough shape. After receiving a few estimates, I opted to go with Baron. Although they were a little more expensive, Brett's professionalism and communication were great. We discussed my repair options, and he thoroughly explained the entire job to me - including the materials to be used and a video presentation of the steps involved. In addition, he had 100+ references from previous jobs. Once we agreed upon the job, Brett and his crew were prompt and efficient. They completed the job same-day and kept the work area completely clean. Brett also took it upon himself to communicate directly with the plumber who was doing some of the vent repair so that both jobs would be done in synch with one another. The roof looks great, and the leak was repaired.

I'm considering calling him back for other projects that need to be done. Everything that was done was done in a very timely manner. He was professional and courteous. Everything about him came up good. As a matter of fact I ended up taking a couple of extra cards of his and passed them around through few people that I knew because I was pleased. If you are going to be that good, I'm happy to spread the word.
