R.P. McLaughlin Co Plumbing & Heating

They were very good. We had been on vacation and when we got back, we had a heating problem. They were one of the few that responded and actually came down that morning. I think it was a Saturday. The first thing I was impressed with is they responded very quickly to the emergency and they took care of it. They had to replace a couple of parts dealing with the heating system, not the heater itself, but pipes and valves that went into it. I was very pleased with their response. I was very pleased with what they were able to accomplish and they resolved the problem. Before they showed up, I had no heat. I have a rather older heating system, and the pipes are even older yet. They replaced two parts and got it back working, otherwise, we would have had no heat. The fact that they came down on a weekend, when I needed them badly. I called several other companies who were not home or I had to wait until Monday or beyond before they would come down. I have no way of comparing what the price would have been. I wasn't in a position to get quotes on this job. I'm basing it on previous work done by other plumbers. I don't recall him having to run down and buy some parts. To my recollection, he had the parts. I will probably go out for quotes to replace my heater, which is 15 or 16 years old. It's really not a heater, it's a boiler. I have gas heat.

He did an excellent job! We had his brother come a few weeks earlier for more minor issue, but both were very professional and punctual!

First contact was with Sabrina. She coordinated the schedule and kept me updated on the day and time of the appointment for the repair. A+ Tyler arrived on time as scheduled after calling and telling me that he was on his way. He proceeded to fix the internal parts of valve, no easy task. A++ He left the bathroom clean and the shower working like it was brand new. A+++ I highly recommend R.P. McLaughlin for your plumbing needs!

Delightful company to work with. They arrive on time, do the job neatly and correctly and when they leave it is as if they have never been there. This is not the first time I have used their services and will continue to do so.

I have had them a few times. I don't remember how much it cost but it was too much. They are professional, responsible, maybe a little pricey, but dependable.

The company was to busy to take on the job. This seems strange since they are offering coupons to complete work. I believe they may have though the job was too difficult but were not transparent about that.

excellent. they came as described and the job went well. the plumber had to go buy the exact correct flange, as he didn't have this type in the van. No problem, he was back in no time, and finished quickly, and cleaned up as well. Nice work.

Bob came out to the house and spoke with me about the new heating system options for our building. He was very thorough and explained in great detail everything that were required for the new systems. He was also the only contractor we had bid for this project who continuously said how to do things right (not to cheap out like most landlords do). I like when contractors take the time to learn what the owner wants and gives it to them. We chose RP McLaughlin because he was focused on giving us a quality product/service and backed up his work with a 3-year warranty. No other plumber came close to offering that. His crew worked quickly, made sure to respect our property, cleaned the workspace nicely and did the most professional plumbing install I've ever seen. The new systems are working great and we have noticed a savings on our gas bill by getting rid of the older hot water tanks. I can't wait to see the savings this winter on the heat. Make sure that they get the chance to bid for your project, their quote will be in the middle of the pack and their service and commitment will be far above the others. I plan to use them as we continue to work on the building for new sinks and laundry equipment. You can see a picture of the install. They did the three Rinnai systems on the wall. The little water heater was already there for the washing machine in the basement.

McLaughlin Plumbing was great. Excellent communication all the way: on the phone making the appointment, a call from the office to say the plumber would be a little late, and a call from the plumber to say he would arrive in ten minutes. Tyler was friendly, polite and informative. He was done in about two hours, answered all my questions, and was very neat. Couldn't ask for better.

Called them on a Saturday morning and they came out the same day! Fixed my washer hookup which required replacing a valve then fixed a leak under the kitchen sink. The bar sink was also leaking which required ordering a special part and a return visit the following Thursday to install. They were prompt and the price reasonable and the plumber was professional and personable. Don't hesitate to use RP McLaughlin if you have a problem!

Excellent experience. Called over the weekend, Tyler called back within the hour for a consult. The office secretary called me first thing Monday morning and scheduled Tyler (different Tyler!) who was at my door by 8am. He spent a quick hour replacing my garbage disposal, answered all my question about the do's and don't's of what to put down the sink, was courteous, clean and good with my kids. We'll definitely use again in the future.

We were satisfied. We have used them on several occasions, and each time they have come in, we have been satisfied with the quality of the work. A lot of plumbers are charging more than they should be. I would use them in the future.

Tyler called ahead to let me know he was on the way, and arrived about 15 minutes later. He was very pleasant, competent, and happy to answer some questions I had about the system. This is the second time this provider has done work in my house, and I'm very pleased with their services.

I got him from Angie's List and I loved him. They were incredible. It cost $10,000 so it was not a small investment. I couldn't be more happy with McLaughlin Plumbing and the job that they did. There was nothing they were not A on. They were there when they said they were gonna be there. They were very competitive in their pricing. The electrical guys, Jason Teel and Michael Sheppard, did the installation of the furnace and all the duct work and they did an incredible job. The office staff got everything scheduled and got everything right ! This was a huge project and it was a huge job and she was the coordinator. She would call me and tell me when they were coming always on time. I couldn't have asked for a better experience than I had with them. It was wonderful. The plumbers were excellent as well. They had to remove the 40 year old boiler and all the plumbing in the basement. They did that with the least amount of mess and cleaned up everyday they were there. Mclaughlin Plumbing is a tremendous organization that you always hope to find for your home. Thank you, guys!

We spoke to the the owner of R.P a few times before deciding on what faucets to use and what sink would work. I am not sure if they got us the faucets but the sink was ordered on line by us. Anyway, the plumber showed up, did a fine job and it looks great. Also at some point the handles came loose and when the owner Bob, came right over and tighten them and they have been good since. They with tight the after the first person install the sink. I have no complaints. He also installed a hot water heater for me and i am waiting for a price on moving kitchen sinks around . I am not really sure of the price but it was very reasonable.

The provider has always been excellent. They are responsive and prompt. On this occasion, the plumber did not correctly identify the leak in the sink. When I called the office about this, I received a call back from the owner, who promptly scheduled a plumber for the next day to rectify the problem at no charge. I don't think that they are the cheapest, but I like folks who return my calls, show up when they say they will and are friendly and don't mind some questions.

It turned out the leak was from my city-installed water meter, and they could not fix it themselves. However, the young man from McLaughlin Co. was good enough to call the city water department for me, explain why they needed to come right away, and got them to say "yes". He was put on hold and spoke to three different people at the water department. I am most happy with their service and attitude to help me get the problem solved, and would call them again!

Dan identified the problem right away and replaced the water line. He was courteous, professional and efficient.

I needed to establish myself with a plumber because mine had retired, so I went to Angie?s List, did a little research, and left a message for R.P. McLaughlin Co. Sabrina called me, asked for some information, and then phoned back the same day with an appointment only 2 days away. This wasn?t an emergency, and I was pleased with the short wait time. As Sabrina arranged, Matt called early on the appointed day to say he was on his way. By the time he finished the repairs, I knew my search for a reliable and competent plumbing service ended when I contacted R. P. McLaughlin. They always got back to me in a timely manner, answered any questions, and were responsive to my needs. It was also nice to receive a 10% discount and pay via credit card. Both Sabrina and Matt were personable, efficient, and knowledgeable in their specific areas of expertise; and I wouldn?t hesitate to recommend this company to family and friends.

Very helpful on the phone re average heater life-span, comparative cost of part vs replacement. Plumber was there next day, if I remember correctly, with the new appliances. Not only installed them, but noticed problems with the PVC pipes, which he replaced and re-positioned (we had not thought to mention the occasional problems we'd had with water accumulating at low spots in the pipes and causing the water heater to shut off, so this was a big bonus). He left the cellar cleaner than it was when he arrived. Before I found McLaughlin on Angie's List, we had a succession of bad experiences with plumbers, so this one was wonderful.

I received an email within two hours of putting in the request (which was on a Saturday!). I connected with Sabrina and scheduled a time for them to come out. Matt arrived at the time promised and went right to work. He quickly identified the issue and was able to fix it right then. He also checked out the other bathrooms/faucets for any problems and found none. Matt was knowledgeable, professional and just awesome!! I will definitely use RJ McLaughlin again for any future needs!!

We got several bids and estimates and decided to go with McLaughlin. Bob, the owner, was on site for the install along with one of his men. The electrician followed. The install was effortless and was completed in a few days. The old burner was over 35 years old and while it worked it was behaving like a car with 150+ miles and we did not want to put anymore money into it nor did we want to have a heating crisis in the dead of winter. We have used McLaughlin's Plumbing for several years. They have always been responsive, accommodating and punctual. No matter when we have called someone has always gotten back to us and his plumbers have always been polite, knowledgeable, and efficient. Their work and service is exemplary.

It was a pleasure to work with this company. I called to have 2 valves replaced and was able to schedule a time within a few days. The gave me a 2 hour window and the guy coming out called me within the 1st half hour to verify I was home and to say he was on his way. He was very personable and got right to the job once I explained what I needed. He was in and out quick, job done, no mess left behind. I'll be sure to use them for any plumbing projects I have coming up in the future
