Bob is great to work with. He is prompt and courteous and very professional. He showed up on time for his initial estimate and gave an accurate estimate the first time. He even reccomended an electrician to me to help with that aspect of the project that worked out very well also. His team did a great job on a difficult bathroom remodelling with a complex shower system, double vanity, hot tub and toilet. He had a sub-contractor help with some of the install, but was there for the entire project and did much of the work himself. I would highly reccomend RP Mclaughlin Co. for any plumbing project.

They were quick responding to our initial email, and the person who came to do the work was very neat and professional. We would definitely use this company again and recommend them!

They were excellent. They did everything that I asked and adhered to the initial quote. They were meticulous and checked over their work. Joshua was the technician, he was prompt and professional.

Have used this company a few times and always a great experience. Called the company on Friday to schedule appointment to replace leaky kitchen faucet, appointment made for the next Monday morning. Josh called prior to arriving to let us know he was on his way. Josh is very professional and does a great job. While there to raplace the faucet, my wife asked him to unclog a couple of slow drains which he did.

Very straight forward, He came in took a look at the first main burst in the system and went to work on it right away. Then when the water was turned on we found other bursts and he shut the water off, and he then went to work , he did make sure to tell me he would need to make some holes, and I told him to do what he needed to... so he did. After working on the other three bursts he cleaned up the areas. And then I talked to him a little about putting in a dishwasher and the possibilitie of putting in a washer in the second floor. He was very quick and professional. I did ask for a quote on the dishwasher and the washer and he said he would have his boss call the next day . They haven't gotten back to me yet on that, but when I get the dishwasher delivered I won't hesitate to call them.

The company quoted me $220 for installation of my new dishwasher. Everything went fine as far as I knew, but when I received the bill, it was for $281, about 27% higher than the quote. When I questioned the bill, I was told that it was a "difficult" installation and that the price was fair, period. There was nothing in the original quote about "difficult" installations, and I had given them the model #, etc. This isn't the first time I've had an experience with this company that just didn't feel right. I paid the bill, and I figure that's the end of my relationship with them.

These guys are my go-to plumbers. They're always courteous and professional. They call to let you know they're on their way or if they're stuck in traffic. I called on Thursday because I noticed that a shutoff valve for one of our exterior water taps which had been turned off all winter was corroded, and when I turned it back on it was leaking. We also had a different outdoor tap that has had a dripping leak for the past couple of years that we just put a cap on and had also turned off the shutoff for that one. They had an opening for the following morning. They called in the morning to let me know they were on their way and arrived on time. They replaced the leaky shutoff valve and the outdoor tap in about an hour.

Overall quality work, quality guys, very reasonable.

I used his service because he had a discount for Angie?s list. He came out on Saturday late afternoon. It was a weekend service to restore the hot water. He responded quickly. Before coming out, he did try to talk to check in with pilot light with my husband to see if he could save him having to pay the weekend rate, which was definitely very nice. It turned out my husband was looking at the wrong place. He got down on the floor after he did the job and showed my husband how to check it, so that we can hopefully avoid calling them out if it was something like just the pilot light being out. It ended up being a part that was broken as well. He cleaned up everything after changing the parts. He is very knowledgeable. I would recommend him to other members also. I would use his service in the future too.

Was very courteous about calling to let us know what time they'd arrive, taking off shoes at door, cleaning up after himself in both bathrooms, making sure everything was working perfectly before he left, explaining what he'd fixed/replaced. My only issue is that he'd promised to provide us with a reference for someone to change out some ceiling tiles and drywall from water damage (toilet overflowed and other leaking toilet had caused mold to start forming). We never heard back from them regarding the reference. Minor point but still irksome.

I hired this firm for the job because I saw how highly they were rated on your list and they were excellent. I'd give them the highest score you can get. The workers were civil, decent, and cooperative. They cleaned up perfectly and he was patient when I added jobs to his list. He was very cooperative.

Responsive, professional, and quick. Would definitely recommend him and use the company again.

He is very good. In the last 3 or 4 years I have used him several times to do several large jobs for me. They are prompt and high quality. The owner, Bob, gets involved with the jobs. He is not invisible. He will talk with the homeowner about the job. The things people should know is they provide high quality work and they are trustworthy. I don't use other providers so it is har to compare their prices but I do think they are a little steep.

Received a visit and quote from service provider within a few days of initial contact. I was very happy with the quote considering the amount of work requested. Work was completed within a a few hours and we now have a working heating system and gas stove. The quality of the work was excellent and we will certainly use RP Mclaughlin for future plumbing and heating needs.

Two weeks before this happened I called Mclaughlin PIumbing to unclog a tub, they were great. When I found the leak in the floor, there was no question who I would call. I can't say enough good things about this company. They did a great job which included bringing in the contractor, electrician and heating specialist. Bob Mclaughlin took time to make certain the new heating system was set up perfectly. Fifty year old radiant heat is wonderful, but when it breaks, you are faced with broken pipes, damaged floors and replacing it with baseboard. I am truly grateful to Bob, his employees and the other companies.

My husband and I just bought a new condo in an old Victorian. Lots of challenges on moving in that needed quick resolution. I called RP McLaughlin desperately looking for a reliable plumber to fix our dishwasher connection and bathroom shower. To my surprise, someone came the next day and not only fixed everything -- but also took the time to see that everything worked before he left. We also got 10% off the first job. Will definitely be using RP McLaughlin again for our plumbing needs.

They were wonderful! My husband and I had each been in touch with them independently and their staff got back to both of us. But by the time they came to do the work and I explained what needed to be done, the plumber asked about one other repair that my husband had mentioned (and I'd forgotten about), so it was obvious that they'd connected the dots and combined our requests. They said they'd arrive between 7:30am-8:00am and they called at 7:30 to see if it was still an okay time to come by. I told them yes, they said they'd be there in 20 mins, and they arrived 15 mins after I spoke with them. Their punctuality and willingness to accommodate our scheduling request was much appreciated. They completed the work very efficiently and notified me via phone as promised as soon as it they were finished. I was also very happy with the price, considering what needed to be done and the hourly cost of plumbers in general. They will definitely be our go-to plumbers from now on!

McLaughlin Plumbing responded immediately to my call. They sent a very professional and friendly plumber right away. The work was done quickly and the problem has not recurred.

I had no hot water. I called him and he came out and told me that it's not a plumbing problem like I had originally thought but a boiler problem. Then he recommended a man who worked with boilers.The whole thing was settled within approximately an hour.

I really love this plumbing company. I found them on Angie's and I am so glad that I did. This is the second time I've used them and once again, they prove why they get such high marks on this list. They are prompt both in calling you back and coming to your house. They are very professional and they clean up when they leave and I mean really clean up. You would never know that they were here and for anyone who has had work done in their home, that is not always the case! It is so hard to find quality companies and they put a lot of pride in theirs and it shows.

They responded to our phone call and they arrived on time. He was very polite and professional. He even took the time to look at a few other needs and took care of them for me. I am completely satifisied.

We had an old PVC sink attached to the drywall of our basement, with the drain attached to a pump bucket on the floor that would automatically empty when needed. During the past big flood of April 1, we got water in our basement (which had never happened before!), and so had to move everything out. One of the things that was soaked was a small area rug in the laundry area. It was heavy, and I made the mistake of trying to put the heavy sopping rug into the sink -- of course the drain immediately broke through the bottom of the sink, rendering it useless. We decided to replace it with a stand-alone stainless steel sink, about 18" square, standing on four legs. I purchased the sink, along with a new faucet and drain, and called R P McLaughlin after reading the reviews here in AL. The young plumber showed up on time, and was cheerful and courteous. I showed him to the basement, and unfortunately, I had to leave for a dentist's appt. I showed him the existing water lines (steel braided flexible lines that would simply be attached to the faucet -- there was no welding required at all), the PVC drain that would need to be replaced, and the new faucet and drain. He explained that the PVC drain would have to be replaced, which made sense to me, as it didn't line up with the new drain on the sink. I came back a few hours later, and the sink looked great! Everything works just fine. My shocker came when I received the bill. The PVC drain pipe materials came to $33.71, which seems a bit high, but since he carries them around in a truck, I can justify the expense. My beef was with the labor cost, which came to $195.00. I could see it costing that much if the plumber had to work in a tight space like under a cabinet, or had to do some water line installation, which was not the case. It's difficult for me to believe that it would take a professional plumber 2 hours to install a faucet, drain, and the PVC piping to a freestanding sink. In all fairness, I wasn't actually there to witness. I just can't help but wonder: if this had been a sink installed in a cabinet, would the bill have then reflected another $100? The young man did a good job, but I'm disappointed with the price of the project.

This was a very good experience -- very prompt and professional service. The charges seemed quite reasonable. We have delayed non-emergency plumbing repairs for years, and the plumber told us what we could repair and what we need to replace. We are thrilled that we now have a plumber we feel good about using for all our plumbing needs.

Called the company was scheduled for 3 days later. Tech showed up on time did excellent work, was very courteous and left work area spotless. He had the price a little higher than I was quoted but when I told him the quote he changed it immediately, even had a 10% coupon. I will be using them for all my plumbing needs in the future.
