Description of Work: Hired them to insulate the ceiling between our media room and the bedroom above. The goal was to limit sound transfer. | |The difference in sound before and after that I cut some test holes to see what was going on. Turned out that some areas had no insulation at all. Some of the old rock wool was still in place, even though it's removal was their responsibility. | |To fix the problem we had to open up a large section of the ceiling and then close it up afterwards and re-paint. The vendor did reimburse us for those repairs. | |

 + -1 moreThe estimating and setup process was wonderful (Ray March and his office staff are great) and the work ended up fine, but they called us the day before they were scheduled to do work (which we had arranged nearly a month in advance) and told us the crew wanted the scheduled day off (!), so they'd be over later "today" to get the job done. My husband had to ask his boss for permission to leave work and come home within minutes of arriving at his office and then they did not come for several hours thereafter (so he could have stayed at the office much longer). We could not postpone them because we had other people schedule to do work after the insulation was in.
Description of Work: Insulated a cathedral ceiling with icynene foam.

We have not yet moved forward with our insulation project, but we will definitely strongly consider March and Martin's services after this experience.

 + -1 moreWERE FAST, CLEAN, AND NEAT, BUT WERE NOT COMPLETELY PREPARED THE DAY OF THE JOB, HAVING FORGOTTEN SOME TOOLS, WHICH THEY NEEDED AND HAVING TO CALL TO DETERMINE THE TYPE OF MOLDING TO PURCHASE FOR INSTALLATION.
