Collegiate Window Systems

We are very pleased with our new replacement windows! Phil Coleman, Collegiate Window Systems? owner, met with us and explained our options, as he could obtain windows from a variety of manufacturers, including the ?big names? known to us. After seeing a sample of the ?Northwind III Double Hung,? a window from National Vinyl, a company in Chicopee, Massachusetts, we chose these windows for our home. We feel we have a quality window for a fair price and couldn?t be happier with Collegiate Window Systems service and installation. As others have noted, the crew was very professional and cleaned up well after the job. Collegiate Window Systems honors their contract prices for two years and we are looking forward to replacing our remaining four windows with Collegiate Window Systems later this year.

A friend referred Collegiate to me and they stood out as by far the most professional and practical of four different companies I looked at. Their estimate wasn't the lowest but it was reasonable and working with the owner and partner was a huge plus in knowing the job would be done well and with care. Phil talked me through the options to be sure I selected what made the most sense for the house and my preferences. The windows were ordered to specifications (including some very weird sizes on my house, plus a huge bay window) and came in on time. The work took a day and a half, as estimated, and came out great. The team was very respectful of my house and put back everything they moved with care. One minor issue where a window was supposed to be tinted (bathroom) but came "clear" was fixed promptly. Years later, the windows are still working great and I've enjoyed the improved appearance, usability, and tremendous heating cost savings!

Phil and his team provided my family with newly installed vinyl replacement windows in our home. Their product was demonstrated to us, and installed as discussed. They install all of our windows and cleaned up after themselves in one day. One very minor thing we noticed in the window was fixed quickly, and a technician was in our house the same day I notified Phil. Thank you very much!

We love it! The french doors on our log cabin are full panel glass with a wood trim interior and a forest green aluminum trim exterior. They let so much beautiful light into our home. They are exactly what we wanted right down to the oil brushed bronze hardware. Our exterior kitchen door proved harder to source, so Phil had to have on custom one made for us, but it was no extra charge after we had signed our contract. The 2 windows had some water/rot damage around them and Phil's installers took the extra time to chisel it out and replace it with healthy boards we had on hand. The exterior kitchen door that we had envisioned was not readily available, so Phil had one custom made for us and it is exactly what we wanted. Charlie and his sons, the guys who installed everything, were terrific! So professional and courteous. They always cleaned as they worked and really took the time to make sure everything was installed perfectly. It was difficult to schedule the install because of the hard winter. It seemed that every weekend we were on the books to get installed a storm was forecast-ed to arrive with 2 feet of snow! But Phil always kept in contact and we were never worried. We are looking forward to working with Phil again on "phase 2" when we install the rest of the windows we need.

Phil from Collegiate Window Systems initally spoke to us about the options for window replacement. We had an enjoyable visit, and he made a recommendation that perfectly met our needs, at an excellent price, and we were under a very tight deadline. Doug, the installer, called the next day and we scheduled a time for him to come out and measure our windows. They placed the order and when the windows came in Doug installed them in one day. The day after he completed the exterior trim and met our deadline with time to spare. Phil was a pleasure to work with and is a perfect gentlemen. He followed up with us before the work was done, while the work was being done, and after the work was done. Doug installed our windows without a single mark on the interior woodwork, and the exterior looks like a new home. Everything went as planned. Everyone showed up on time, they did exactly what they said they would, they installed a fantastic product, and they left my house spotless. I couldn't be happier with Collgiate Window Systems and would gladly recommend them to anyone that needs vinyl replacement windows.

He was very honest and showed us everything about the windows. We are very happy with their service and the windows. They have great customer service. They did the job very quick and the price was reasonable.

He was very reasonable in price. They guys who came and installed the windows were very good. The quality of the windows were very good as well. I have referred them other people in my community.

He did the service in one day. The company built in a little overhang to avoid additional water freezing issues. The company was thorough and complete. They did a very good job cleaning up.

They were excellent. Their service was great, the timing was excellent, we have nothing negative to say!

I was informed Phillip would apply a device that would prevent rain from coming in. He installed a metal device that blew away in the first year. The windows that were replaced are double paned. Between the panes a screen pattern has appeared a year and a half ago. It is preventing our ability to view out of the windows. I have a written lifetime warranty that Phillip is now refusing to honor.

Mr. Coleman was quite professional and helpful and was able to give me an excellent price. His guys were very capable and installed the windows rapidly. They showed here and were finished much earlier than I had anticipated. I would definitely use their services again.

Phil was great to work with. I feel like we got a fair deal and we we are so happy with the quality and look of the windows. He was very responsive to our calls and questions. They removed the old windows quiet as a mouse. Which I was very pleased about because my dogs were very anxious having strangers in the house working. They installed the new windows and left the house and yard cleaner than it was before they arrived. I can already feel the difference in the temperature in my home.

The windows were installed today. Charlie and his two sons arrived on time and proceeded to set up immediately. They brought all the equipment and materials they needed....they were prepared. the windows were installed and all traces of the scraps and old windows were cleaned up by the end of the day. the windows are beautiful and even the road noise is reduced. I have more windows and a door to be done and will not hesitate to call collegiate windows again.

They couldn't have gone better. Phil the owner came out himself and take the measurements and give the estimate. He said the job would be done by the 21st and it was. According to all the other salesmen that were here, his product was the best, and less expensive. I gave him a deadline and he met it. He said a father and two sons would come out and get it done. They came out and it was obvious that they do this everyday. They were just great. I can't say enough good stuff about them. I would highly recommend them and use them again if necessary.

In 2003, we had our windows replaced by Collegiate Window Systems. Over the course of several years, two windows were mishandled and had gotten broken. We called Phil and he immediately sent the pieces that needed to be replaced in these windows. After we received the parts, we made an arrangement for Ed, Phil's associate, to come to our house and repair the windows. Ed was on time and quick to help out. After he was finished with the repair, we showed him two more windows that needed repairing that had not been replaced by Collegiate Window Systems, and he fixed those as well. All this was free of charge. I highly recommend Phil and his team to replace anyone's windows. They are very reliable and most definitely guarantee their work.

I solicited a number of proposals before selecting Collegiate Window Systems because I found them to be competively priced, with a well-established customer base gained from decades of being in this business. I also appreciated the fact that the business was family-owned and found them to be responsive to all my needs - a personal touch that you don't always find when dealing with contractors. The owner presented a number of options and, after agreeing on what was best for my home based on a comprehensive discussion of aestetics, functionality, heating costs, etc, we set up a date for delivery/installation. The owner really cinched the deal when I debated clear or translucent windows for my bathrooms and he assured me he would readily swap them out after installation if I changed my mind. I knew that this was a company that would continue to be responsive to my needs long after they moved on to the next job. Collegiate delivered the windows right on schedule, and the installation was done in one day without a hitch. The installers were efficient and fastidious and didn't leave one clue that they had even been in my home - other than having brand new windows! I am extremely satisfied with my new windows - they have no doubt added to my home's value - but, more importantly, I am delighted with their appearance, ease of cleaning, and efficiency. After years of propping up my old windows with old hockey sticks and anticipating a costly, aggravating experience I have to say I am completely satisfied with Collegiate and had only one question after my experience - why in the world did I wait so long?

I Have been dealing with Mr. Phillip Coleman For many years and this is my third experience with his company. He has installed high grade windows in my beach house in Wells ME In my Offices in Barre Ma and now a rental home in Barre. He quotes the job gives time frame as to when work start and finish and then he is gone ! I have new windows property is spotless all materials ( old windows caulking dirt old wood taken away) And I am happy my tenants and employees are happy! A win win.
