I used Jack General Services for a repair/replacement of porch steps. The customer service from Jackson was terrific. He came when he said he would for the appraisal, got the estimate to me by email that night, and came to do the work the day after receiving my deposit. His workers worked through the morning (and the rain) and finished the job by 1:00pm. It's only been a week, but so far we're very happy with the work - everything looks good and feels solid. As for the price, the other two carpenters who gave me estimates wanted to replace the whole steps for $4000 but Jackson kept some of the old stringers and replaced the rest for $1370.

Project was done in a timely, cost effective manner. Could not have gone better. Highly recommended.

I'm very happy with the work that I received from Jack General Services. I submitted my work request and promptly received a call within about a half hour. Jack came by the next next morning to assess what needed to be done. Our yard had been neglected for most of the month of July so there was quite a bit of work to be done. Jack sent his guy over that afternoon and he immediately got to work. I'm really impressed that in less than 24 hours I went from submitting my request to having someone at work on my property. He was professional, prompt and reliable which is more than I can say about the companies that still haven't called me back.

Jackson Silva is extremely professional, he always returned calls promptly and was very accommodating with all our requests. He did a fine job repairing our wooden deck. Jack and his team were easy to work with, efficient, and made sure to do the job right. We had a sagging porch repaired, and not only did the crew address the specific issues I had asked them to, but they also secured additional areas of the porch to make sure the job was done right without charging me extra. Jackson also took the time to walk through the completed job with me and point out other things I should keep an eye on. On top of all that, the price blew every other contractor we talked to out of the water. Would definitely hire again.

he came to my house within twenty minutes of his call and assessed the problem. when i explained that i was concerned about more rain coming he made time in his busy day to come back within a couple of hours and clean the gutter problem. he was very reasonable in price, polite and personable

Jack answers his cell phone and if he can't he returns your call ASAP. He provides all of the insurance forms that are needed and keeps his word on everything, especially on when he can start the work. I had to have the base of two columns that hold the second floor porch roof up replaced. They had to custom fit the bottom blocks of wood to a roof that had two slants on each corner. They also replaced floor planks on the first floor porch and made other tough repairs to the base of the column on the first floor porch. Other work consisted of installing 50 scalloped pavers, mulch, and 30 16x16 patio blocks. Excellent work and workers

My wife went into labor when Jack was halfway through our deck railing rebuild. I had complete trust in Jack and his team as they finished the job while my wife and I welcomed two new members into our family. I would highly recommend Jack for his trustworthiness, professionalism, and for doing very solid work on our deck.

I contacted Jack the end of May and he came out the next day to view the project. Within one day he emailed me the proposal with a reasonable price. He started the job the 1st of June and completed the work the 3rd. He repaired two wood steps sanded and painted both front and back porches. He built a two tier block concrete wall and cemented it. He also built out a concrete wall that was cracked. His work was good quality and he is very personable. I would highly recommend him. I have another project pending and I will hire him for the work. Jack did an incredible job fixing our porch. Originally the wood was rotting and the railing was extremely unstable. For a very fair price, he repaired, and repainted it. So now it looks excellent. In addition he extended our brick porch in herringbone style, and added a storm door. All done with within a week and with excellent quality.

Jack was great - prompt, quick to respond by phone or email, and very helpful in figuring out what needed to be done. He and his assistant did a thorough and careful job, even cleaning up the entire area after the painting was completed. I would definitely recommend Jack to anyone who needs a handyman type job completed around the house!

I hired him for the job and he came out and completed it in the next day. He was a bit late for the scheduled start time but called a bit after to let me know he was on his way. Jackson Silva repaired a bow window and a entryway roof, both very satisfactorily. He arrived on time, completed repairs as promised and cleaned up after his work. We felt the price was very fair for the amount of work and time it took. We will definitely call him again when we have other projects.
