Everything was excellent. They worked quickly and professionally, and they got the job done.

Everything went well. They did a great job and we had no problems. They are very easy to work with.

This company maintained our gas furnace for several years, so we chose them to install our air conditioning system. They put in two zones, but I don't think the system was engineered correctly. During the day, when we're concentrating on cooling the downstairs zone, the upstairs zone hardly functions. Even on a very hot day when the outside temperature reads 90+ and the upstairs zone is set for 76, very little air comes out of the registers. At night, when we set the downstairs temperature for 76 and the upstairs for 68, then air blows forcefully upstairs. The installers made a mess every time they came. Plaster from the basement ceiling fell into my utility sink and clogged the drain, There was plaster all over the basement floor when they finished for the day. The owner did not honor all of the terms of the contract. The contract said he would take care of all the electrical work associated with the new AC system. He refused -point blank. He said that it wasn't necessary because our general contractor had an electrician working on our kitchen and bathroom renovation. We had to pay that electrician an extra $1,000 to do the work B & D was supposed to do.

I needed an estimate for adjustments and repairs to ac system. I left a message and he never called back.

The service call went very well. The technician took the time to answer my questions and even cleaned up afer himself. He also offered to add our name to a start up list at the start of the season so they would call next spring to arange a time to come out and check our system before the start of the summer.

A/C had failed. Excellent person on the phone. Made no immediate promises about when they could come to the house, but promised to call right back. Called right back that they could have someone out that day in the afternoon. A very professional and polite person showed up that afternoon. The failed unit is 20 years old. It would have been very easy and credible to tell me the entire unit needed to be replaced. Instead it was just a failed component. He had one in the truck and had the unit working in 5 minutes. Since the minimum billable time is one hour, he spent a bit of time looking at the overall health of the system and checking the freon levels, etc. No problems found, but he just as easily could have gone on his way without the extra effort.

I initially called because one of my units was not blowing cold air. They were able to fit me in the next day, much to my surprise. They showed up first thing in the morning and looked at my unit, telling me it was just my filter (the house is new to me as were the types of units so we were not maintaining them as we should have). When I told him a little bit about my experiences with the units, he offered to give them a quick look over to make sure nothing was seriously wrong, saying he didn't have time to do a full service (my appointment had only allotted time to look / service the 1 non-working unit). However, he ended up cleaning the drains and tweaking two of them that needed it and realized that my unit that he thought was just the filter, was need of a little bit more help. He did the whole service, making it unnecessary to make another appointment (I do feel bad for any other appointments he was late for - but every appreciative). He explained everything he did in detail and what I need to do to better maintain the units. He as very professional and clearly knew his craft.

These guys, and of course Mary in the office, are terrific. No nonsense or hype. They did what they said they would, when they said they would.

Michael is the younger end of this family owned/operated business. He introduced himself, shook my hand and maintained a smile through the entire service call. Michael's mother (Mary) handled phone and scheduling duty and did a fine job making this appointment happen as soon as possible during this cooling season's first bout of 90 degree heat and humidity. This was my first experience with B&D and I was treated well throughout and charged fairly. This was a model of how a service call should be handled!

We have a ranch house with no ductwork for forced air heat. We had B&D install a new Central AC in the attic. They came when they said they would, charged us exactly what they had said in the quote. We are very happy with the quality of the work performed and would definitely hire them again.

He was perfectly pleasant, but he recommended cooling one room by having the unit in the other room and leaving the door open. In retrospect, I don't think that would've worked at all. He was the first one to come out. The more I talked to people, the more educated I was. I didn't like the design he proposed. My overall impression wasn't very good. I thought he was on time.

Excellent experience. Work done as promised on time. Mary in office is invaluable in filling out all the rebate info and getting them sent out. I got three other quotes, and Charlie's was the lowest price and he lives up the road from me, so that was a plus in case of repairs. Would definitely use him for all my heating needs.

All the contractors we contacted were professional, with similar prices. What set B & D apart was the attention to detail in all the logistics. They provided helpful information that we hadn't considered when they first came to give us an estimate. Right on the proposal, they listed the federal tax credit, which was key to the choice of systems. They came exactly when they said they would, did exactly what they said they would, and did it all with a smile. Even better, Barbara (sorry if the name is wrong!) in the office did all the paperwork for rebates from the gas and electric companies, filed the warranty forms with the manufacturer, and put together all the tax info for me and had the installers bring it with them. It was just a dream to have all the paperwork done for me. Couldn't be happier!

Father and son team. Did a great job, very professional and clean. Explained everything to me and made recommendations about cost-efficiencies. Provided me with all the completed tax incentive and rebate paperwork. Would definitely hire them again.

Entire process went extremely smooth. Originally I was looking to add central air to existing oil furnance w/ forced hot air and use the existing duct work but for a variety of reasons which Charlie explained in detail, it was not going to work. I had gotten a quote for ductless A/C a year ago and was very concerned with the price tag. Charlie worked with me and devised a great plan in which I could take advantage of rebates through the electric company as well as the Federal tax credit. The work was done within the same week in which B&D received my counter-signed proposal. It is a family run business as two of Charlie's sons installed the equipment. Back in the office, Mary had prepared all of the paperwork for the rebates for me. I am very happy with my decision to use ductless A/C and that I selected B&D. I would highly recommend this business to anyone.

Overall it was an excellent experience. It's a family owned and operated business and they were wonderful to work with, gave me great advice when I was trying to decide which system to install and then saved me money over other firms because Charlie did the proper needs analysis instead of relying on the capacity of the old equipment to figure the job. They were neat, efficient and pleasant to have around. Mary, who is Charlie's wife, runs the office and she researched all rebates and tax credits available to me, did all the paperwork and submitted it for me. I can't recommend them highly enough and will definitely call them for any future needs.

Our central air conditioning broke as a result of a broken part on the outdoor unit. I called during the late afternoon and spoke with someone who told me of a few things to check on. I did those things without success and called back first thing the next morning to schedule an appointment. I was put into the queue right away and by 9:30 a.m., the repairman had come over, replaced the broken part, and things were up and running again. Great responsiveness and very professional.

I have had a good experience with them. They are a small, family-owned company. They are very professional and personable. They are also very responsive.

It went very smoothly. Jimmy was timely and he and his assistant came in explained what needed to be done, did the job & cleaned up any remaining mess.

They did a good job & they were very pleasant to work with. The quality of their work was very good. I would consider using them again in the future.

My experience with them was good. They were prompt. We didn't have to wait long. They came when they said. The serviceman was knowledgeable, polite and friendly.
