Description of Work: We hired Yankee Home Improvement Inc to install 12 windows. They did so well we hired them to do our roof as well.

Description of Work: I honestly can not give them a good recommendation. They promote service but I didn't get that service they said. They installed windows in my home a few years ago. The windows themselves are very nice. We had ordered a different color window pulls but they gave us white but we are happy with them now. The crew that came to install was very professional and did a good job putting them in. Don't expect them to clean off the stickers on your windows or clean them. They were suppose to do a follow up to make sure our windows were okay a year later, that never happened. The sales man pitched that to us that they would come and make sure the windows are okay after the first year and then again a few times after that. A few months ago they called to see if I could use their services for more windows, some other stuff I can't recall. I mentioned that I had been waiting for someone to come back and check the windows after installation. The caller said she doesn't handle that, they said they would have the person that handles that call me back and set something up. I had someone call and I explained what I had expected to happen. They said they would have a manager call and set something up. That never happened. I am happy with my windows. I live in an old house and they have helped keep out a lot of the cold air. I would love to do the remainder of my windows. Sadly I am not sure I'll be using them again, I didn't get the service I was told I was going to get and for the price I paid I had expected more.

Description of Work: The rep was extremely rude and pitched a very high estimate. We found a reputable co. (with an A rating from AL) to do the work for less than 1/2. I am surprised there was no apology from the co. for the reps rude, insulting behavior.

Description of Work: We did not go with this company. Rep. was extremely rude. The estimate was high. We were expecting it to be about $300 a window -- but their estimate was $700 per window. Knowing our price range (for 13 windows) we were looking for a approximate figure before looking through window samples. It is very likely their product is far superior to what we had looked at... yet we were not impressed with the attitude of the sales rep. (We were treated like, 'clearly price is all that matters and you don't care about quality.') We realize giving us "a bottom line" (to save everyone's time) is not how he wanted to do it, yet his attitude was very patronizing and insulting. The low rating is based on our experience getting the estimate - not on the work (which may be excellent). However, we will not be going with this company. Note: A rep from the company called and seemed concerned that we were told that "he can go to home depot" and get windows if that's what we want to spend'. Bottom line -- this co. (and sales rep.) may be great for you if you're looking at a higher end product (with a high price tag). Update: We replaced windows for $335 per window with excellent, energy efficient windows. Yankee Home Improvement - I suggest you use a better rep. and/or train differently.

Description of Work: Yankee Home Improvement Inc. put a new roof on my house and insulated my attic.

Description of Work: I decided to replace all of my double hung windows except for one, plus my octagon window in my garage. There were 12 windows total. I was searching for a double hung window that was vinyl, but had a wood look inside.

Description of Work: After being jerked around by another amateur roofer (who ripped me off for $6000 and I'm still in court to this day), I was referred to Yankee Home Improvement in Northampton. Yankee sent a very professional construction manager named Ron out to measure the job and give me options on color, warranty, manufacturer, etc. I have a large roof, approx. 42 square. The explained to me in detail how they would do the job in sections so that I always had a roof over the entire house no matter what. That was a good thing, since we had the major snowstorm on October 29th, right in the middle of the job. After the storm (the Monday after), the crew came back, and even though I had no power, they shoveled off the next section of the roof they were going to replace. They returned Tuesday to do the next section, and the job was complete by Friday.

Description of Work: The entire gutter system and downspouts were replaced...done quickly by very courteous workers. Still working on fixing damage to corner post of house.

Description of Work: They took all the old siding off our house and replaced it with new more efficient siding. They did all the cleaning after the job was done. They really let you sit back and they do all the work for you. They called me to schedule everything. The whole experience just flowed very nicely.

Description of Work: The installers came and installed the insulation in my attic quicky and were done within 2 days, which was very impressive.
