David was extremely personable and certainly knew his business. He did not recommend that I upgrade my operating system as he ascertained my present one was more than sufficient for my use. When he brought back my CPU he thoroughly explained what he had done and why and gave his recommendations for my system going forwards. Not being an expert computer wise, I felt that his explanations where thorough and easy for me to understand. I could not recommend him more highly on all counts.

I contacted ERF based on other Angie's List reviews. Dave was prompt, accomodating, professional and very pleasant to work with. He came to my home and assessed possible problems, took the computers with him and returned them exactly when he promised. Great service experience.

David worked long and h****** the Blackberry problem; made it clear what he was doing as he was doing it, and charged me only for the work that led to a successful result. He was very generous deciding what work was successful and what work was research that did not lead directly to resolution. He is very knowledgeable, and a respectful and effective communicator.

My computer was unresponsive. I brought it to two other computer services who diagnosed the problem as a damaged hard drive, and fatal virus corruption. Both proposed expensive solutions, including the loss of much of my programs and data. Dave took one look and diagnosed a fixable problem with Windows. He proposed a few other needed updates and clean-up and did a great job.

As always David's work was excellent.

David Forristall is the technician who came out. He found a lot what needed to be found. He was excellent. He was very professional, very friendly and very aware. I was more computer illiterate than now. He explained everything as he went along. He showed me what I needed to do and what he needed to do. Then we parted ways. He will be fixing the external hard drive that he took and he will bring it back. Then there is something that I have to do. He was thorough and very personable. I really like when somebody who is doing a job for me or with me, to tell me what they are doing, why, how and what I can do to prevent. So, he did all of that. I would give him an absolute A+. It was a distance for him to travel. He explained a lot about computers. He answered a lot of my questions that weren't relevant to what he was doing. I was seeing as he went along. He was courteous. He downloaded some malware and some stuff that would help clean up the computer. I ran into these issues because I had let this go for a really long time thinking that it has to be me and not an outside source. David asked me to send him an e-mail if I thought it was an outside source so that he could get in touch and catch it right away. He created an ongoing relationship. If I have a problem, I don’t have to sit there and think, but I can call him. He was very open about what he did now and what he wasn’t quite sure of. There was little he wasn’t quite sure of. He never said that he could do something 1000%. He came to Sharon and that’s a distance from where he came. We figured it would be $35 for the traveling time. When he left, we figured it would be less than an hour of traveling time, but it started to pour buckets. So, it took about two hours. He was here from 7 to 11 and it was $335 including the traveling time. It was worth every penny. He was absolutely terrific and I found him on Angie’s List. He also had a lot of reports. There were people closer who would have charged less for traveling time, but they had like one or two reports. So, I chose David for a number of reasons. I spoke with him on the phone. We arranged for when he would come. He was really everything that everybody on the list promised and more. I would definitely use his services in the future too without a doubt.

David converted the data in my Palm Centro to Outlook format, then made sure that I could synch the data to my office desktop and to my laptop - each with a different version of Outlook. When he ran into problems he quickly and efficiently researched for solutions. David also picked a wireless router and set up a wireless network at my office while retaining my office desktop hard-wired internet connection. He did not charge a markup for the router. Throughout, he was unfailingly courteous, businesslike, responsive, calm, and centered. Very reassuring.

David provided excellent service. We discussed what the problem could be and he gave me a quote based on the best and worst scenario. Fortunately, the needed repair was minimal and we were charged as quoted. I would definitely use his services again.

He is fairly pricey. He spends couple of hours on the work. He is wonderful. He is very knowledgeable and responds promptly. He spends a lot of time answering questions on phone or by email, without any charge. He did lots and lots of tech support for me over the phone and email. He is extremely personable and capable. The most outstanding things about him is his availability and willingness to go beyond the call and help and also his capability. His price is fair. I would absolutely use him in the future.

He returned my phone call the same day and picked up the computers the next day at my home. Each computer was fixed and returned in less than a week.

The person from ERF Computer Consulting who came to fix did a wonderful job. He came out to my home to check the problem and he calmed me down as I depend on my computer. He took the computer and called me to tell what was wrong with it. He saved all my data and brought back my computer the next day. He was perfectly dressed and polite. He knocked on the door and I felt comfortable with him. I was confident in his ability to fix it. He could not fix it but he did everything he could to do it.

PC would not reboot after power outage. I dropped my PC off at David's house (although he does pick-up/delivery) and he had it diagnosed and fixed within 2-3 days. Pleasant, knowledgable, and professional....the kind of contractor I like to work with.

David Forristall was very helpful when I needed a second-look assessment of problems encountered after a PC install by another consultant. He was unfailingly responsive to e-mails, and he's continued to check in with me at intervals as to whether my issues have been resolved. He even corrected a problem that the other consultant had described as unfixable.

I usually play tech support for my mom. When her computer melted down earlier this week, I realized it'd be a week before i could get up to her house and work on it. Based on recommendations for ERF, I suggested my mom call David. Within a day, he'd recovered her data and restored her computer to a bootable state. Overall, a great experience.

David worked on our computer and when it still froze up was available, offered to negotiate price, then took computer back and fixed it and followed up to be sure we weren't having trouble with it. Great service and committed to quality!

David listened to my needs, and responded with fair, quick and complete service to my present computer and great information about future purchases and needs.

I got a call back within a couple of hours after my initial call. I was able to drop off the computer the next day and it was ready for pick up in just a couple of days. The total came below the estimated cost and I was very pleased with the results and turnaround time.

I couldn't be more pleased. David saw I was nervous about whether I would lose data and kept me informed of each step in the process. He also did a quick turnaround which I appreciated.

Dave met me at a mutually convenient location, sent me estimates for each computer and performed the work in a timely manner which was key because we use the computers on a daily basis. His hourly rate is reasonable and his work product and professionalism are outstanding. I highly recommend his service.
