The job went great. They came when they said they would with all the necessary equipment and they completed the job within the day. We had a surprise along the way related to a sprinkler system junction that had grass over it and was in the area where the extension was going. I didn't know existed but they came up with a good solution and the driveway came out great.

Great. Said they'd be here at 7:30 am and they were. Had 6 guys doing our 6 car driveway and were done at noon.

Tim was great. At the outset his price was more competitive than other local companies. Due to a very wet spring and summer we had to wait several weeks for the actual work but it was well worth it. Tim thought outside the box regarding our pump and discharge system. He made it work and it looks excellent! The. Crew he has was polite, hard working and efficient. They paved a 40ft X 30ft driveway. It looks beautiful and I don't even want to park on it! I highly recommend this company.

I really enjoyed working with the owner, Tim Proia, because he was a prompt communicator, did what he said he would do, exactly when he said he would do it. He is very pleasant, and runs a crew that is punctual, neat and careful. He is on site, working along with, and directing the others, for the entire time. They started around 6:30 am on two consecutive days and finished before noon the second day. This was to totally tear up an old driveway, then prep and create a whole new one. On behalf of a friend, I asked if he does smaller, repair jobs. Tim confirmed that he does, although not just minor seal coating. My paperwork indicates that there was an Angie's List discount, although no amount was specified. After the job was complete, we were handed a booklet on how to take care of the driveway in the days and years ahead. I'm a happy camper.

Can't say enough good things about Tim Proia and AJ Proia & Son Asphalt Paving Company. Tim is very experienced and adaptable to the little requests we had for this job, and also cost conscious. Even though we were past the normal season for asphalt work in our Town, the weather was good and Tim was able to find a way to get it done at reasonable and fair cost. After discussing the project and agreeing, Tim and his crew arrived on time the next Monday, checked to be sure we hadn't changed any of the plans for the work, and then got to work. Tim and his crew were very easy to work with - all friendly and nice people who knew their jobs. They were done in about 4 hours of hard work, and left our property perfectly clean. They also provided enough information for us to understand how to take care of the drive for the first year to avoid damage as the asphalt slowly hardens and cures. If all construction businesses were this fair, reliable, and skilled, we wouldn't need Angie's List to sort them out.

They were excellent and did a perfect job. The value is good for the product. They made the relationship perfect and comfortable. They came with the right equipment and ready to work!

It went very well! Tim was very courteous and attentive. He answered all the questions I had and explained the best way to get the work done right. He and his crew did a great job and if a time comes where I need more work done he's going to be the one I call. He also did it for less than anyone else I called!

Great! They were on the cheaper side, we got several estimates. It is rare that contractors do what they say they're going to do, and really follow through on that. They did great work and we are very pleased with the result! They cleaned up very well after themselves, and there were no surprises. I would recommend them to anyone!

Water started leaking into the basement after the work. Called them several times to come and discuss the problem but they were unresponsive. They claimed (over the phone) that their work could not have resulted in the water leak while its is obvious that rain water channels towards a gap between the new driveway and the house foundation due to the slope of the asphalt layer.

I watched the entire operation. The job was well done, even though it was the end of a hot day and the crew must have been exhausted. Every layer was applied carefully and thoroughly tamped down: gravel, coarse asphalt and finish asphalt. The end result looks great.

The company did great job of tearing up our old driveway and putting down the new one. They arrived at the scheduled time and had the Driveway down and left by mid afternoon. grading for drainage looks great and edges are nice and clean and straight. I also liked that they were the only paving company that scheduled a visit with me to quote what i wanted and discuss posibilities as opposed to doing a "drive-by" and have someone else call me to make adjustments to the quote.

The project went well. Tim was professional and punctual. Driveway looks great.

Tim provided the estimate and once we hired him he gave us the date of service. He called before the date to confirm and arrived on time. The job was completed the same day and met our expectations.

Received a written estimate after he measured the area for the driveway. We agreed that the job was to be done after a new walkway was installed. I notified Tom Proia when the walkway was completed. He viewed the new work and we set a date to do the driveway. All work was done as promised..

Long lead time to schedule the work this summer but they were able to fit me a few weeks earlier than the originally scheduled date. A large crew came and went faster than you can blink. They arrived by breakfast and left before lunch. The new driveway and curb looks great.

They had given me a bid, and it was right in the middle of the other bids we had. We decided to go with them because their customer service was fantastic. They scheduled everything for me and confirmed the time and date with me, and confirmed the price and details of the project as well.

They were very good. He was very nice and we just liked him from the beginning. He told us what he could do for us. We were concerned about how it would be if it rained and he corrected that and once it rains we would find that out. We doubled the size so he had to dig out some grass and it looks very nice.

Worked exclusively with Tim Proia who was extremely responsive, helpful and professional. Showed up exactly within the 15 minute window provided on every occasion. Could not have asked for a better experience. First phase Tim provided a written estimate via email after reviewing the job. Once we agreed to move forward Tim worked with me on scheduling the job for a day that was convenient for me. On job day Tim and his crew showed up exactly when he said they would and got right down to business. During the job Tim called me with questions regarding Verizon installed line in the construction area to be sure about exactly what could be ripped up and what could not. (Verizon was also very helpful in this project by re-routing their line deeper to avoid impact of new driveway) Installation was smooth and quick. Finished again exactly when he said they would finish. Driveway looks great and I'm very happy. Have to wait a few years to speak towards the long term performance of the driveway.

Linda Walton met me and provided me with a quote. The crew arrived as scheduled and performed the work as per our agreement. Linda and the crew were professional. The work was done as promised and I would recommend Walton Paving for similar work.

Linda and her team were terrific. Linda was very professional when I contacted her about our driveway. She educated me on the process, including pulling a permit from the town of Needham. She sent me a quote which was comparable to other quotes I had received. I selected Linda because of her professionalism and honesty, plus the fact that she came highly recommended by two other professionals (my landscaper and the contractor working on the home next door). Linda's team came to our house as scheduled, and finished the job within 4 hours. They even built a little berm on the top corner of our driveway (nearest our house) to prevent water from running toward the house and into our basement. The berm works very well and our basement is DRY! I would highly recommend Linda and her team. They provide great customer service and follow-through.

I invited an estimate for my somewhat cracked driveway when I saw them working in the area. Came back at $13000, well over my budget. Wayne then said that I could get just one layer instead of two. I said that I needed it to look good and remain defect-free for 10-15 years in case of possible resale, and was strongly assured that the new job would outlast the original (well over 50 years at that point). I accepted their price of about $6000 with one critical condition: grading in a couple of key areas had to be done so as to shed water away from areas critical for safety and keeping feet dry. (Unfortunately, after a careful discussion, I trusted them on this, and didn't write it into the contract.) I also asked them to be sure to configure approaches to garage, etc. so that I could later add a second layer if desired, and stated that a small step up to leave room for that would be fine. Job looked OK to me, though they paved flush to all edges. First time it rained, though, it became obvious that they had ignored the grading requirement. Water pooled in front of the garage, right where cars park, and flowed in sheets along a brick walkway strongly enough to wash out the stone dust and loosen the bricks. When winter came, both areas became extremely dangerous, requiring a lot of extra clearing, salting and sanding that had never been needed previously. Worse, the paving began to fail in several ways: cracks all over, settling in multiple areas - inadequate underlayment compaction? And complete collapses into open soil voids, revealing a thickness of one inch or less instead of the promised minimum of 2and quot;. Then plants and mushrooms came up through the paving, not just at the edges but anywhere. And where cars usually parked, the paving settled under the tire lines by almost two inches in just a couple of years. One large bump also rose in the middle, making plowing pretty difficult. I tried to contact the Waltons repeatedly for the next couple of years. No answers to calls or letters, and it eventually turned out that they didn't even pick up mail from the address provided. When I did eventually reach Linda, promised calls/faxes never materialized. Just before the statute of limitations expired, I sent a Chapter 93A demand letter. When they finally (and grudgingly) came back for a look, there was no apology or justification, just an offer to put down the second layer (which they now said was required, and would solve all the problems) for a slightly reduced price since materials costs had dropped so much. I accepted, with the proviso that the drainage issues had to be fixed even if it mean jackhammering out some of the prior paving. In the event, they just went right over what was there. Instead of fixing the grades, they put asphalt berms almost 2and quot; high at the end of the main entrance walkway and the garage entrance to deflect water. (And because they didn't chop in at the edges, the paving in some critical areas must be the original one to two inches - bit of a cheat, there.) Well... the drainage still didn't work, and there was now a tripping risk. I had to re-lay several yards of brickwork to reduce some of the safety hazards. And water pools between one berm and the garage door, making it very hard to clear snow, ensuring an ice patch at the garage entrance, freezing the door shut after a thaw/freeze, and soaking the lower edge of the door (which will presumably rot pretty quickly now). Fail on promised thickness, fail on drainage, fail on dry feet and avoiding ice patches, fail on communications. Oh, and the plants and mushrooms are coming through again. The driveway as a slab of asphalt probably rates a B. But for defects and probable short lifetime, for producing unpleasant and unsafe conditions because they company couldn't be bothered to keep its agreement on design, and for manner of doing business in this case, a D would be misleading to those who read these reviews.

We mentioned to them REPEATEDLY we had water problems in our garage and basement due to the old driveway leaning towards the garage and asked them to make sure the new driveway would lean away from the house. We also paid $1500 to have the drain in our driveway enlarged extensively to accommodate a larger amount of water. The Walton Paving driveway is in, we still get water in the garage and the basement as Walton Paving did NOT make the necessary changes to the driveway nor the drain to make sure water would not get into the house. The drain’s surrounding has sunk BELOW the drain so when water pours down towards the drain, it remains around the drain instead of going in the drain… Since the work has been done, we have called Walton Paving and were either NOT answered to or told they were going to come and check the situation - One year later - NADA!
