They did an excellent job on all 3 projects. The gas hookup was especially nerve wracking for us as new homeowners. Craig walked us through the entire process and did all of the work perfectly well. Very punctual, professional, and responsive.

I called first thing in the morning, and Craig (Vincent) answered right away (I had left a message on another company's machine but still have not received a call back). When I told him the hot water tank was leaking, he walked me through on the phone how to turn off the water to prevent further leaking. He told me he could come by in 45 minutes, and he did. I showed him the leaking & expired hot water tank, and he assessed it and asked if I wanted him to do a complementary walk-through. It would be helpful to know the condition of our plumbing, so why not? Craig looked at all our pipes, bathroom faucets, etc., and told me what could be caulked inexpensively to prevent costly fixes later, which I really appreciated. On his estimate, he included all the minor fixes he suggested in his walk-through. We liked his thoroughness and knowledge. We decided to go forward, and Craig and his helper got the new tank, came back in the time he said it would take, and replaced our old tank in the amount of time he said it would take. His estimate was right on, though we decided to do the other minor fixes at a later time. Afterward, Craig showed me the nuts and bits of pipe he felt needed replacing (at no extra charge), and how to adjust the temperature. I noticed he also brought with him cinder blocks, on which he placed the tank. He said this way, the tank sits several inches higher to prevent the pilot extinguishing in case there is water in the basement. I consider this going the extra mile! Craig is professional and cares about the quality of his work. When you call the company phone, you reach Craig, and that is super helpful when you need a job done.

Both Craig and Jamie were pleasant and professional. Their work is clean and impeccable. They arrived the first day to scope out the needed work, give us a price (which was very fair), and then started in on removing the old appliances, fixing the drains, updating the valves, and installing the faucet. They had to wait for a floor to be installed over two days but they both returned first thing on the arranged day as scheduled and went about installing the new appliances. Craig also did a walk through of our basement and alerted me to both good and bad plumbing situations to be aware of. I have to say, these guys are the best. Their work is immaculate and they tidy up after themselves like no other contractor. There weren't any extra costs appearing out of nowhere and they stand behind their work. You can tell they treat their work as a craft and I have great respect for that kind of care in their work.

Craig and Jamie were terrific. They arrived on time, gave a thorough explanation of the work to be performed and did a great job. Both issues were resolved within a couple of hours. Will definitely hire them again in the future!

I got them form Angie's List. I would not recommend them. They were not reliable. They didn't really know what they were doing. Their clean up was fine, but I just would not recommend them. I would not use them again in the future.

Craig Forsythe explained to me that in addition to the clogged drain there was a problem with the pipe under the sink. It had not been correctly installed when the previous homeowner had remodeled the bathroom. He and his assistant quickly completed all the necessary repairs. I was extremely impressed not only by the quality of the work, but also by their courteousness. They were very polite, took the time to discuss the problem and to show me afterwards that the work was successfully performed, and left the work area spotless. To be fair, I can't adequately evaluate the cost of the job because I did not get estimates from other plumbers. However, Craig did perform a minor repair to sink in another bathroom without a charge. Also, he gave me an "Angie's List" discount on the overall cost. I will definitely use Forsythe Plumbing the next time I need a plumber, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Two guys came the day after I called (which was perfect - this wasn't urgent), were very friendly, not condescending (I hate that!), did the repairs, made sure I was satisfied with how it all worked, gave me a 10% discount for being an Angie's List member, and left. A few weeks later I called because I had a clogged toilet. This time, the owner himself came the same day, at a time that fit my schedule, and fixed it quickly and cleanly (I had tried half a dozen home remedies first). He is a friendly man who clearly values customer service. They will definitely be our first choice to call for plumbing needs in the future.

The whole process was smooth and job was simply excellent. I just recommended them to two of my friends. Vincent emailed me a quote. Craig talked me over the phone and finalized the price. After collecting 1/2 payment, job started on Monday and Tim installed PVC pipes for air intaking and venting. From Tues., Scott and Tim worked together to remove my old oil boiler and install the new gas boiler. On Thursday, due to a small trick problem from the manufacture, the installation was slowed down. Luckily, Scott figure out and fixed the problem. These guys work till 10pm. It got very close to finish. Before they leave, they heated a full tank of water and heated the house and shut down the boiler for safety reasons. They also offered to return late in the night to heat the house, but we couldn't let them do that, simply because it was too much to ask of them. Work was completed on Friday. The inspector commented that it was one of the most beautiful plumbing work he'd seen, which I totally agree. On Sat. Scott called to follow up. There was a lockdown with the boiler. He came over on Sat. afternoon, purged the sysmtem to remove air, which caused the lockdown. And explained me in detail how the system works (I was out of town the whole week). Later on, town inspector found there was gas pipe pipe fitting violation in for my gas dryer (totally unrelated to the boilder work). I'd say, if my home inspector had found it, I'd asked the seller to fix it before I bought this house. The inspector threated to shutdown gas for the whole house, at which which time it was Thanksgiving. Craig did me a favor of postponing other works, and sent Scott and Tim to fix the gas piping problem. After doing the pipe work, Scott did a testing and found out there was a leaking near my gas stove. He fixed WITHOUT charging me extra. Besides financial reasons, I sincerely appreciate these guys for making my home safe. Though minor, it's been leaking all the time and we never noticed it. As I told Craig and his guys, they'd be my long-term plumbers and I won't hesitate any bit to recommend them to my friends. Beautiful work, great working ethics, nice people to talk to. They made my home safe and warm.

This has been an off and on problem for 8 years. Other plumbers have unclogged it, but it would always drain slowly after they left and clog again quickly. This time it is draining very quickly and I am hopeful it will continue. We were told ahead of time how much the service would cost. The plumber wore booties and was quiet (warned me when it would get a little noisy). He walked through all of our plumbing and gave us estimates for a couple of small problems he saw. I am very happy with the service and will use them again when we refinish our bathroom.

Craig, Scott and Tim are not only very knowledgeable about every plumbing repair, but also about exact specifications of making sure everything is up to code. Craig Forsythe responds very quickly to calls to his company number and resolves any problems as fast as he can. These men are not only professional but they are also extremely considerate and polite. I highly recommend this wonderful company!

They came out and determined that it needed to be replaced. I worked with Craig and he was great. He ended up clearing his schedule because he realized it was urgent. He was incredibly responsive, I got a call back from him very promptly. He was very helpful because I thought my old water heater was under warranty. The water heater came with the house when I bought it and I had hard time finding that plumber. Craig actually called and found out all of the information on the warranty and determined that it was no longer under warranty. I have a very old house and he took a look at my water shut off. He suggested to replace some piping and have another shutoff installed. He replaced the piping right away and got it all done in one day. He was super professional and did a great job cleaning up after. This was a very good experience, I will definitely use them again.

Due to the great floods of Feb 2010 our basement had 4'-6' of standing water. Craig assessed the situation and advised us to wait till the waters receded. He jigged up a temporary sump-pump to help with the situation. Once the water was gone, he was very prompt in installing a permanent sump pump. The outlet to the road was done such that it looked aesthetic. His professionalism is very commendable and the service excellent, as always.

Several months ago, my toilet would not stop running after flushing. Someone from Forsythe came and after flushing it 15-20 times, he could not duplicate the problem. He offered to replace some parts but advised that since it seemed to be working, call them back if the problem returns. He gave me his card and did not charge me a service charge. When does that ever happen?! I really appreciated the customer service and the professionalism. Not only that, he put slip covers over his shoes! The toilet started running again, and I, or course, called Forsythe. As before, the plumber was prompt, professional, and clean. Problem was diagnosed, charges were discussed in advanced, toilet was fixed, and the repairs were explained thoroughly. I'm very satisfied and would definately use Forsythe in the future.

It went extremely well. Bill, the plumber who came to the house was very professional and extremely fast. He installed a new garbage disposal very quickly and fixed the problem with the pop-up in the main floor bathroom very quickly. This is a problem which others have been unable to fix.

Forsythe is great and will definitely be my first call whenever I have a plumbing issue! The owner, Vincent, answered my call immediately on a Friday morning and told me he would probably be able to get someone out to my place same day, which was great as I was not anticipating anyone would be able to make it out out until after the weekend. Bill Clark called 45 minutes ahead of arrival, as requested, so I could leave work & make it home - Bill was prompt and professional. He was an efficient worker and I didn't feel at anytime that I was being "upsold" or having unnecessary work done - both of which I've felt with other plumbing companies. Bill was neat (wore booties in the house) and cleaned up after his work, which was appreciated. I thought he did a great job, was up front about pricing before doing any work and fixed both my leak problem and the hot water pressure issue I'd lived with since moving in. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful experience-- could not be happier. Very quick response to my initial phone call, came out the very next day (this was not an urgent need either), did an excellent job and explained everything that he was doing and why it needed to be done. We are picky customers and Forsythe exceeded all expectations. Will use them again for sure!

They answered the phone immediately, and I was able to book an appointment for the following day. The plumber arrived within the specified window of time, and did the work. He was clean, friendly, and efficient. The job was simple enough, and he did it easily. Very fair price -- other plumbers would have charged me double what I paid.

When I called Foresythe plumbing to schedule service, I was accurately informed about what charges I would incur and how they would apply to my repairs. An appointment was scheduled promptly at a convenient time for my work schedule. Craig the technician arrived on time and was very courteous and neat. We discussed exactly what the problem was and Craig examined the plumbing involved. We then discussed what he could do to fix it, answering all my questions. Craig then calculated the cost of the job and asked me if I understood the itemized estimate which I then signed. While performing the repair Craig was very informative and provided me with suggestions about why the problem occurred and what steps I could take to prevent it in the future. I asked him to look at some other potential problem spots and he offered solutions that could be accomplished in the future. I also asked him to help me change the water filter cartridge which I was afraid to do because I did not have any instructions. He performed this service and instructed me about all the steps necessary to do this myself in the future as well as common problems with this and how to avoid them. On the whole, I found this experience very satisfactory and I will use this company again.

I called three local plumbing companies on Angie's list. Craig at Forsythe Plumbing answered immediately. He told me he could be there between 10:30 and 11:30 that same morning. He arrived promptly at 10:30. He was neat, courteous, and informative. He wore cloth booties to protect the floors. The job was complicated because our tub's drum trap would not permit the drain snake to continue to the blockage. So he switched to using a chemical cleaner that proved much more effective than the Drano that I had tried before. He completely fixed the problem in one hour, and cleaned up the bathroom too. He also gave me advice on other plumbing issues around the house. Despite the added difficulty, the price was precisely as quoted, with a discount for Angie's list customers. It was a very convenient and positive experience and I would definitely use this company again.

Went really well - sump pump nicely installed

Professional, prompt, courteous, fair estimate. Fixed damaged pipes and handled surprise twists in our 100 year old pipes very well. They also cleaned and removed wall/pipe debris when they were done as well as wore booties in the house. We will definitely contact Forsythe plumbing again when we need plumbing work done.

Craig and another staff member came to my home to give me an estimate on a shower leak. When it came time to explain the problem and give me an estimate, they told me they "needed a pen" and had to go to the truck to get one. I told them that I had a pen for them to borrow--but it was clear they needed to consult away from me. I found that lack of straightforwardness off-putting. After they came back from their consultation, they quoted me a price, handed me the quote, and told me if I signed now we could get a date set for the work to be done. I told them I'd need to think it over and run it by my fiance. Here's where things got even more uncomfortable for me: both of them stood there looking at me, and Craig says: "Well, can't you call him?" Though I shouldn't have been pushed in the first place, I still answered him that he was at work. I was pushed a second time: "You can't call him at work?" At this point I was extremely uncomfortable having them in my home, I didn't feel I should have been questioned like that when it was simply an estimate, and I found it pushy and rude. They could be terrific plumbers, but I'll never have them in my home again after being made to feel this way. A final note: their estimate was to replace an entire valve for over $600 because they said the whole thing was broken. The plumber I ended up hiring charged $200 for a quick fix. The entire valve was not broken--it had a leak which he repaired. Perhaps this was the reason for the outdoor consultation? Again, I'm not judging their skills as plumbers--I have no basis to rate this--I'm making a point about what I found to be poor business practice.

Our original problem was an increasingly loud bang eminating from our one year old HE washing machine. We originally had the problem about 10 months ago and a contractor had installed water hammer arresters to resolve the banging. Approximately 2 months ago, the noise returned and had continued to get louder and louder; to the point where we didn't want to use the washing machine (but dreaded the idea of having to look for a plumber; this has never been a very good experience for us). Finally, in February, I performed a search on Angie's List for a local plumber. After reviewing the wonderful accolades Forsythe received from members, I called and left a message on February 1st. Craig returned our call on the same day. Since it wasn't an emergency, we scheduled a time for the 5th for Craig to come out and assess the situation. He provided enough notice the day of the service call so that we could leave work and return home (rather than wait all day at home for someone who may or may not show up). Craig looked at the washing machine and determined that we needed shut-offs and drains for the water hammer arresters. Apparently, water was getting into the tubes where there should have been air. We scheduled another appointment for the 8th for Craig to come out and fix the problem. On the 8th, Craig and Chris arrived promptly and upon turning off our water, they realized we needed shut-offs at the main water line as well. Both Craig and Chris were extremely professional and were efficient in the process. They reviewed every step and explained why they did what they did. On February 13th, we were in the cellar doing laundry. We turned on the 60 year old cold water faucet and when shutting it off, the water would not stop running We were able to immediately put into use our new shutoffs at the main line that Craig recently installed and made a service call to Forsythe. Craig immediately returned our call and scheduled an appt. at 8:00 am Monday morning, February 15th. He would have taken the service call that day but had a family emergency. He also mentioned that Chris would make the service call (which worked out nicely). Monday morning, Chris and the apprentice (Michael) arrived promptly at 8:00, replaced the faucet, pipes and installed shut-offs at the faucet (I think we're officially up to date on shutoffs now!). Everything worked nicely!!

They showed up 1 hour after I called, exactly when they said they would. They wore booties to protect my floor from their shoes. They did the job quickly, and were careful not to make a mess.
