Forsythe Plumbing and Heating

Quick response to my phone call. Michael of A and A Plumbing did a diligent job in the face of several anomalies most of which he was able to overcome while he readily suggested possible solutions for the rest. He was professional, friendly and left everything clean and tidy. I would certainly use him in the future and recommend him to other people.

In a very random coincidence we had another plumber show up at our house to check something for a different project going on. Since he was here we asked him to do the dryer change over and he took care of it so we cancelled with Forsythe. I felt bad about the last minute cancellation because they had been so helpful on the phone and would definitely call again when I need a plumber who is fair and answers the phone.

Forsythe is very good but he has down sized his company and doesn't do big jobs. All he does is small minor work and very small. He has let go of his work crew. In the past the man did great work.

Refused to come out to repair a leaking baseboard copper pipe. Tried referring me to some electrician instead.

He was great. I had to juggle picking up kids and taking care of a dog, and he worked around my schedule. He was on time, worked quickly, and had the whole hot water heater swapped out and ready to go in a few hours. He was friendly and professional.

Woke up with no hot water. Plumber answered phone immediately and was at the house in 2 hours. He first checked the breaker box and noticed some sparking, although no tripped breaker. So, it's an electrical issue and not a plumbing issue. I appreciated his quick response. He normally charges to come to a house, but in this case he didn't. I will definitely call him again if I need a plumber.

The experience from beginning to end was great. Craig, owner of the company, came by for an estimate and was extremely knowledgeable and educational during the process. He explained what did and didn't have to be done and made recommendations that actually would save me money as well. He helped coordinate next steps with National Grid, ordering the new boiler, etc. and provided good referrals for my chimney inspection and electric work. He was readily available on his cell for any questions that came up and once the job started he was very organized and got the work completed in much less time than I expected. The work was flawless and passed inspection easily. I was very happy about choosing Forsythe and expect to continue using them for future work. I'd highly recommend using them for any job, big or small.

I had a gas dryer delivered in the morning, then called Forsythe and a technician arrived an hour later. James, the technician, first unplugged the old dryer then proceeded to install the new one. The entire process took about 45 minutes. When finished James made sure the dryer was working properly then he cleaned up any mess he made. It was an overall excellent experience.

Installed new hoses and shut off to washer, and added a drain to main line. I believe the plumber who came was named James, he did a great job and was nice to my dog (which I really appreciate).

We called on 3/20 and someone got back to us that day. We needed a new pump for a low flow, high velocity flush toilet. It had not been working properly for sometime and often made a loud obnoxious sound when depressing the flusher. They found the part and installed it the morning after we called them. The plumber (James I believe) was prompt, polite and was able to perform the job without difficulty. We are very pleased to have this done so quickly, and the toilet is now working well, and is not making any unusual sounds. I would recommend Forsythe plumbing.

We bought a home where much of the plumbing was "jerry-rigged" by the previous owner. The vents were screwed up. The sewer line was rusted. There were further walls that needed to be opened and explored for more problems. A plumber from Forsythe came to do an estimate. He immediately saw that the work was complicated and called a colleague, who also came over to look at the job. Forsythe flatly refused the work. They were too busy at the time to do it. The first plumber told me he would call and give me the number of another plumbing company that would come and do the work fairly? which he did. I wasn't flabbergasted or anything. I understood. It was a complicated job. I'm just telling my experience. If you are an individual homeowner with a complicated job, call Gentile Plumbing in Natick. They came and did the job, did it right, did it quickly, and did it for a fair price.

Craig & James once again exceeded my expectations at my last minute emergency call. I was unable to get water out of my faucet in my bath tub due to the parts inside no longer able to work. The hardware is old, but has worked up this point. They came when I was not home as I trust them totally in my home, they called to make sure they understood the issue and then diagnosed it. They called me to inform me of the problem and said they would need to get me a quote on the parts and they did. I instructed them to move forward with fixing my faucet. They called when they finished to let me know everything was working. When I first starting using them, as a new customer there sense of urgency was outstanding. Since then they have been responsive and have taken care of me with my upmost satisfaction.

I've gotten quotes from 7 plumbers, and they were all over the map. Craig's quote was a little on the higher side, but he was one of the more professional ones I dealt with from the beginning. He even told me about a rebate offer for the water heater from gas networks. Took his crew about 3.5 days to complete the job. All of the supplies used were top of the line and the workmanship was phenomenal. We combined two older boilers and got a high efficiency Burnham Alpine 210K with an 80-gallon indirect water heater. The work included 3 heat zones for our multi family house, and one other zone for the water heater. The quote he gave me did NOT include the water boiler nor electrical work on the panel. I had to pay for that separately. The total cost of everything added close to about $18k. Like I said, it's a little pricier than others, but I am very happy with their work. It's only been a month so far, but I haven't had issues.

Was an excellent experience ? had a technician (James) available shortly after I called, came almost immediately, was friendly, gave me a great price, and did the work exactly as I had requested.

They were absolutely fantastic. He sent Jamie who works for him. They gave me a bid. It was like we had this instant connection. I would hire them in a second. I would recommend them to people. I trusted the guys. I didn't mind having them in my house without me there. They didn't need any supervision. I got every penny's worth. They did a wonderful job. The price was very fair. I won't even call another plumber now. I call Forsythe first.

Forsythe sent a junior plumber to my house to do some upgrade plumbing to bathrooms on a Wednesday and the tiler was coming on Monday. The junior plumber was inexperienced and he was unable to get anything done. He left for 4 hours to get supplies and he cut out huge walls all over the bathroom. He laid all of the parts of the kits out and lost some essential parts. He then left to work on another job, after completing nothing but holes, and returned at 4:30 to say he would be back Monday. I said it was too late for us because we needed to be done before the tile was going to be laid and he asked to be paid for the work, $800. I also hired Forsythe to replace a gas furnace. The owner said he would match a competitors price (it was $400 less) and I gave him the job. After completing the work he said the electrical work required would be an additional $400. I said that didn't feel fair and he said I didn't have to pay it. Because of this I hired him for the additional work (mentioned above) but I was clearly disappointed. I would tell anyone not to hire Forsythe.

Had I known about Alewife plumbing I never would have called these guys. This cost WAY WAY WAY too much!!!!!!!! I knew I was in trouble when they started welding. This was a simple swap out for a new electric hot water heater. I will never use this company again and warn others against them. The only reason I used them was because of an extreme time limitation I had. I don't do business with people that overcharge so outrageously and you shouldn't either this should never have had to cost this much!!!!!!!!!

It went really well. We declared our old water heater in guarded or dying condition around 7 p.m. on a Tuesday, called the number that is listed expecting to get an answering machine or service, and instead got the owner. He said water heaters that are providing brown, tepid water are rarely fixable and that he could have a crew at our house about 6:30 the next morning. He said replacement cost would be in the $1700 to $2200 range - I gasped, did some research, and learned that this was a reasonable fee. Jim and Bill arrived bright and early and confirmed the water heater was on its last legs. They obtained a new unit, installed it, and were done by mid-morning. They also carted away the old one. I had an Angie's List $100 coupon which they honored so we got out with $1764.50. A couple of hours later we were back in hot water city, so there will be baths and showers for all tonight!

I contacted Forsythe to have them install my new gas stove and snake the drain for my bathtub, which had been draining a bit slowly. They were extremely responsive and scheduled an appointment to quote the work. The plumbers were professional, arrived on-time, explained the detail of their work, and completed it promptly. Billy was one of the plumbers and I have nothing but good things to say about him. He's courteous, knowledgeable, and gets the work done right the first time. Forsythe charges a fixed price based on the work performed, as opposed to hourly, so it was a bit more expensive than I was expecting. However, the job was done right and that's more important to me than price, especially when dealing with natural gas. I highly recommend this plumber!

Called Forsythe plumbing around 9:30am spoke quickly with Vincent about what I needed done. He said he had a technician in the area that could probably be there around 11: The tech, James, showed up on time, looked at what I wanted done and gave me an estimate. Checked with his boss and said he could do it right now. Work was done quickly and exactly as I wanted. Would use again and recommend to anyone.

I was referred to Forsythe Plumbing by Chris Attardo of Attardo Heating and Air Conditioning whom I have great trust and respect for. I have used Forsythe a few times and Craig has been so accommodating when ever I have called. James has been the individual that has come, he is very professional, personable and honest and does a great job and makes sure things are cleaned up when done. I would recommend Forsythe to my friends and family. I will be looking to Craig soon to give myself and my sister a quote on redoing the bathroom. James and Craig are life savers!! Thanks!
