Forsythe Plumbing and Heating

This was my second time using Forsythe, and I would highly recommend them to anyone. When I called, I had assumed that I would need to drain the water from my house and replace both valves. James and Keith came in with that expectation, but took a quick look and explained that the nuts at the base of these valves can loosen over time, causing a leak. Before they even quoted me for the valve replacement, they tried tightening the nuts first to see if it would stop the leaks, which it did. This could easily have been a couple hundreds of dollars, but rather than go ahead with a repair I didn't really need, they chose to educate me and treat me as a long-term customer. This was a great example of their honesty and integrity, which is the most important thing for me when choosing a vendor. I thought that was pretty awesome.

It was a long list of things, but they did it quickly and I really felt like they worked with us to keep the price as low as possible, given the number of things that needed to be done.

We had a great experience. Will keep them in our phone book for future projects. Recommended to my sister in law.

They were professional and courteous and efficient. There was some movement/ wobbling with the toilet that I did not notice until they had gone. They came back immediately and replaced the seat/ put shims around the base until I was satisfied. They were very proactive.

Work went fine. But honestly I was impressed by how they treated me, the customer, in actions and in words. They took the time to explain what the problem was, what they recommended doing, and afterwards what they did, all without the hint of any frustration or patronization. I find a lot of contractors miss that last part - I know you're a pro, and I expect you to do your job well, but those are table stakes. Nobody likes to bring their car to the dealer for a reason. When I find someone that does their job well and is as respectful as I try to be to them, then we have a vendor/customer relationship. On price - they have a price book that lists prices for every job, but I didn't take get multiple quotes so I can't speak to their price. However, I would recommend.

The best plumbers around. They always give a quote and you then know how much it will cost. The quality of their work is top notch - they tackle the difficult jobs with ease. They replaced a faucet, fixed a toilet and replaced a garbage disposal. I will always use them. They are simply the best.

We decided to go with Forsythe after calling two other plumbers about replacing our old tank hot water heater with a new tankless gas hot water heater. We worked with Craig and his team throughout the project and we are very pleased with the work and the final product! Craig orchestrated the installation of the new heater, the removal of the old, inspections, and also worked with the gas company when things went down a road none of us was expecting. The installation was great, but Craig realized (after the installation started--this was the only thing we wish we would've known up front) that the gas line coming into our home from the street was too small and old to carry enough gas to the new tankless hot water heater. Craig handled everything, thankfully, but we ended up having to have the gas company come out to our home and install a new pipe from the main gas line to the inside of our house. This could have potentially cost another $1000 or so, but thankfully (?) the valve at the street was so old that it broke off when they tried to shut it off, and Craig made sure that they wouldn't charge us for it since it was clearly the gas company's issue, not ours. Since then, we've called Craig to answer a question about changing the water filter, which he did and even offered to send someone over to show us at no cost. We're very happy with the tankless hot water heater and Forsythe's work. We'll probably call them from now on for our other plumbing needs, as they were prompt, courteous, and fair.

Went well and promptly after phone call . Went and located parts, and found a universal part that worked as well as the plumbing manufactures. Stayed until sure the job was finished well.

James and Keith arrived at our house on time and performed the work I requested. They also diagnosed another issue that was taken care of during the visit. All of the work was performed with excellence, and they explained and showed me everything before and after the repairs which I really appreciated. They were both extremely professional and courteous. I was pleasantly surprised that the total bill was much less than I suspected it might be. I most definitely will call them each and every time I need plumbing work done, and will highly recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

Forsythe had someone in our area and they sent him over immediately. James arrived in 30 minutes, checked out our situation (washer without hot water) and looked into the problem. Turned out it was a simple fix and they charged us a really reasonable fee for this quick visit. They were prompt, courteous and honest. We will absolutely call them again!

I chose Forsythe Plumbing based on the reviews. I called the company to get recommendations on what I should buy and they helped me over the phone several times before setting an appointment. Once I had the products in hand they gave me an appointment for about 3 days later. Keith came out to help me. He was on time and very nice. He looked at the job then went back out to his truck to give me a price. I agreed to the price and he got right to work. He was neat, organized and did a great job. At one point he realized that the hole for my faucet was too small. We discussed the issue and with my permission he drilled a larger hole (which i guess he usually doesn't have to do) and finished the job perfectly. The shower head install was a breeze. I use angie's list to find contractors who do great work. I do not know if the cost of the job was comparable to other plumbers because I didn't really research that part of it. I did think the cost was resonable and I am very happy with the work done at my house and would definitely call Forsythe again.

Seems like a scam artist to me-please do not use. Although his crew seems like they did okay work , he is just a bad businessman-tried to charge me $3000 to install a tub, sink and toilet. I luckily found someone else to install the sink and toilet but the tub was holding up the renovation so had to use him (he was recommended by my contractor). He charged me $1100 to install a tub-took two guys about 2 hours. i had the tub delivered, brought upstairs, old tub taken out etc. . I asked (begged) him (prior to the tub work) to give me an hourly rate instead and told him i was wiling to take the risk that it might cost more than the $1100 but he refused. He took advantage of a situation and would only give me a flat price and of course i had to have the tub installed to keep the tile guys going. The worst "professional:" of my whole renovation-actually not a professional at all I guess.

I needed my toilet replaced asap. Forsythe had come recommended by a friend and I was so happy. They replaced the toilet and also did a few other repairs that I had wanted to do for a while. A great price!

James came by and he was an absolute peach! There were a lot of little jobs that I thought I needed done (replacing a toilet, fixing a disposal, that sort of thing). After poking around in the house, he determined that the disposal just had something stuck in it, that the toilet didn't need replacing, just a quick tuning (saving me better than $250) ... he took care of all of the little things, with a smile on his face. He even pointed out that the basement leak was something that the city was responsible for fixing, and that they'd do it for free. The one problem that I had that he could have quoted me on (a slight smell of swamp gas in the upstairs bathroom) was caused not by the toilets or drains, but by venting, and that it would be a huge job to rip out the walls, find the problem and fix it. And after all that, he refused my insistence on paying him for his time, since "there wasn't anything big for me to do here." He was charming, thoughtful, attentive, and determined to do the best job for me that he could. Absolutely, Forsythe is now my plumber of choice!

Placed a call in, got a response in about a day. Said they could have someone out immediately. Met James who was courteous, professional and clear on the options and implications. He had to cut the house to get sufficient working room, and asked before doing anything. For the fixed price, he also included a shut off valve which I didn't realize was missing. Great experience - will work with them again.

I had called two days ago and was able to get an early morning appointment (7:30am-8:30am) today. Jim (from Forsythe) arrived at 7:40am, apologized for being late (and truly he wasn't late...I was thrilled that he arrived early within the hour period that had been cited to me) and checked out the two toilets. He had already filled his truck with all manner of supplies as he pointed out to us that there is no plumbing supply place near our house. Therefore, he just found the right parts in his truck, fixed the toilet within l/2 hour, explained what he did, asked if we wanted a printed bill, and said to call him back if there were any issues with either toilet. He was punctual, pleasant, professional, and competent. I will absolutely use them again.

Forsythe Plumbing and Heating offered to troubleshoot the problems with my water heater over the phone, that didn't work. He then said he be out in an hour and he was out even sooner. We will use them again when we need to replace the water heater.

I called in to see about scheduling someone to look at our water heater. Craig offered to troubleshoot it over the phone so as to avoid a service call if possible. When that didn't seem to work, he said he would be over within an hour and 1/2, and was here in an hour. In the meantime, the water started warming again. Instead of calling him back to cancel, I decided to let him come over and eat the service charge, just to be sure there didn't seem to be anything out of place. He looked at the water heater, discussed what we had tried and went through the instruction manual for troubleshooting. He gave some other helpful hints on what to try if it happened again, checked the ventilation pipe, and answered all my other questions. He said there wouldn't be a charge since he didn't have to do anything, even though we offered to pay the full fee. We will definitely use this company when the water heater does need replacing, and will be calling for all our other plumbing needs as well. Unheard-of excellence in today's market. Great service; great company! Fantastic!I called for a quick repair prior to a home inspection for selling.They said they would call me right back.In 15 minutes they were at the door and said they were in the area and could give me an estimate.They gave me an estimate, completed the job and were gone before any other plumber would have even had called back.They did a great job and only charged me for a portion of an hour.I have finally found a great plumber and they are now on my speed dial.
