Lupien Tree & Landscape

The job extended from fall to spring because the proper lilac bushes were unexpectedly not available in the fall. We have used this firm before and they have always bee knowledgeable and professional, and so it was this time. I was skeptical about he idea of wiring two huge branches of a tree, but last winter there were a lot of split trees and felled branches because of heavy snows, and I think they may have saved the tree by doing this prophylactically. Getting the lilac bushes planted in the spring took longer than I hoped but I was told the stock was either unavailable or could not be dug at the nursery because of heavy rains, and I have no reason to doubt this. We had a bit of a billing dispute, but when I challenged their math they immediately apologized and sent me a new invoice. So I am going to count this experience as a plus rather than a minus!

I have been using them over the years because they have been giving me good service. They are easy to deal with and seem pretty knowledgeable. They come when they say they are going to come and clean up well. The workers are very good, are attentive to what is there, consider the situation and give good suggestions. They seem to do the work well as far as I can tell. I would recommend them to others. I would rate them highly and would continue to use them in the future.

This was a great experience from start to finish. Lupien was prompt in scheduling my appointment to provide an estimate. Their price was fair (and be sure to ask about the Angie's List discount they are currently offering). Our work was scheduled for the afternoon of day Hurricane Earl was scheduled to blow through town, so I was concerned when they called the day before -- I thought they were going to cancel. Fortunately they were able to move my appointment up to the morning. Their team was on-time, tidy and professional and did a fantastic job on the trees.

I ended up contacting several other providers who were responsive to my needs.

There was a large storm Sunday that felled a large tree in my back yard. I called Monday and asked to be put on their list of tree removals. I was clear it was not an emergency situation. Jack, who does their estimates, came the next day and emailed me a contract, which I signed and returned. Thursday they had removed the tree down to ground level. They left the back yard in good shape, and even remembered to close the dog gate to the yard!

It sounds like a simple job, but it really was a major job. They were up about 5 stories high and hanging from ropes to do the work. They are very responsive, did a very good job and negotiated with our neighbors. They were great.

They did a great job. They were terriffic.

They were good. The walkways look beautiful in both the front and back. They are nice people, but you had better have your own design ideas if you are going to work with this company.

Lupien Tree and Landscape is the first company that I have used as a new member of Angie's List. All I can say is, if all the companies are as good as Lupien Tree and Landscape I'm psyched! Lupien Tree and Landscape was wonderful from the friendly people who answered the phone, to Jack who came out to my property to do the estimate and answered my follow-up questions both via email and phone conversations, to the crew who did the work . . . every step of the process was wonderful. I am a new homeowner and have no skill in the landscaping arena. Everyone at Lupien was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I did a little research and found their prices to be reasonable, plus they offered a 10% off total price winter discount. I happened to be home when the crew was doing the work. I spoke with the crew and they were GREAT! They identified all the shrubs, trees, and plants in the yard for me. They also took the time to answer all my questions and give me advice on upkeep. My partner and I couldn't be happier and will definitely be using Lupien Tree again!

I like them very much and they did an excellent job. I can't compare the price. They were on time and did good quality work.

Responded promptly to inquiry about services but sometimes came to spray later in the season than I expected. Charge extra to warn clients of the exact day they are coming. A good price compared to some competitors. Did not interact with us on the day of work other than leaving a notice on our door knob.

The Lupien representative (Keith) was prompt - actually, he was an hour early! - and knowledgeable. Keith spent about 2 hours in our yard assessing all of our trees, shrubs, etc. He was extremely thorough and prepared a detailed quote for us (which he emailed to us about 2 days later). The prices were a bit high, so we chose to use another company. I would not hesitate to contact Lupien in the future for other yard work.

Lupien was easy to contact, they came out, and gave an exact estimate. They recommended 3 treatments to control the problem. They arrived when they said they would, but needed no help from us. (Other than not being the yard during the treatment.) We had no winter moths or inch worms at all after the treatments and our trees stayed green and lush all summer. The treatment even lasted the next year!

Lupien tree pruned and cabled a large very overgrown Norway Maple and crowned and shaped a pine tree in my back yard. I initially thought the estimate was high until I saw how much work was involved in the job. Two large limbs were removed from the Maple, one over the house and the other over the driveway. It was also thinned out and cabled to make the tree safer and let more light through. The two person crew was very knowledgeable and worked very safely. I was home the day they pruned the trees and they answered all my questions and educated me about the trees and didn t seem to mind that I watched. It s pretty impressive watching someone climb 40-50 feet into a tree with a chainsaw.

He came out right away and seemed professional. He said he would send me a quote, but never did. I followed up with him through email and over the phone five times and he never responded to anything.

They did a very good job. They cut the trees a little shorter then I wanted them to. I wasn't there at the time they did the work. They showed up on time to do the work.

Over the winter we had a lot of branches fall from the large pine trees in our yard and became concerned that one would hit the kids or the house. I called Lupien to get an idea of what could be done. The overall process was smooth and professional. I called and within 3 days they had evaluated the job and sent me an estimate. After I confirmed the job they came within 1 week (weather delayed things for a few days) and worked for 3 days. Before they started, the foreman walked me through job and explained what they were going to do. They pruned about 12 trees and picked up a lot of stray brush (and an old Christmas tree). They were polite and cleaned up the area each day. The cost seemed a bit high but it was probably worth it.

I was very impressed with the whole process. Even though there were many trees down in our immediate area and I'm sure they were very busy, they came out the next day after my call and emailed me an estimate for the work the following day. My insurance adjuster said that this was such a reasonable price that he wouldn't even bother getting other estimates. They came promptly later that week while I was at work, did everything I had asked, and left the yard nicely cleaned up.

Visit and estimate was done in a timely manner. Estimate clear and presented via email. Work done over two days. Workers showed up on time, behaved professionally, did the work as promised, and cleaned up afterwards. Cheaper than other estimate by a thousand dollars.

They cut the trees away from the house.

They had a great response time and the work was done promptly. The workers were all friendly and we had a good experience with them.

They were quick to make an appointment. Jack Younker was early, very professional, and helpful on giving advise. The estimate was very specific. I ended up going with a different contractor who gave a lower price, but I was very happy with my experience with them.

Called for appointment and was scheduled one quickly. The estimate came shortly and was very reasonable. We're about to hire them but my neighbor was cutting their tree the next day and their contractor could do sooner and cheaper. So he stole the business.

They did not respond to my email request for information.

The company came out when promised and pruned a large tree that was blocking the light in our backyard.
