Scheduled to come out on Feb. 6, 2016. He was professional and punctual, but never got back to us with a quote. While we understand that things get busy, a simple "Unfortunately, we are too busy at this time to take on your project" would have gone far. Instead, we just never heard anything.

Bill and his crew did an excellent job. Bill is extremely knowledgeable, accommodating and accessible. Everybody who works for him is professional, considerate and good at what they do. The project took a little bit longer than expected but that was understandable due to some longer lead times and some complex electrical troubleshooting. I am very happy with the quality of the work and will consider Perry Brothers again for any future projects.

Work was excellent. Done in a timely fashion. Met all my expectations. Workmen were conscientious and friendly. Cleaned up each day. I would highly recommend them and have to several of my friends who were very pleased with their work.

We worked with Bill on the initial visits and quote for our projects and coordinating the logistics. From the start, he distinguished himself by showing up at the agreed-on time and submitting a detailed quote in a timely fashion! The work on our projects started exactly when we were told it would and continued nearly every day until it was done, weather permitting. We were impressed at how well the crew cleaned up each time. We were especially grateful that it seemed they made a special push (extra hands on deck) to complete our roof work and reattach the gutters on a day when rain was expected in the afternoon. There were a couple of small details that needed to be remedied at the end and Bill made sure they were taken care of right away. Overall, we're very pleased with the results and will definitely contact Perry Bros. again about future projects.

It went really well. Perry Brothers arrived on time. They were clean, professional, and did excellent work. The attention to detail was incredible. They always cleaned up after a job. It was clear that the team has many years of experience and the caliber of their work is top notch. Their skill level was superior to other contractors we have tried in the past. I highly recommend using Perry Brothers!

Our dealings with Perry Brothers has mainly been with Mike. The quality workmanship and cleanliness met our expectations. Mike spent considerable time answering our questions. He gave details of what was going to be done, time and cost of the projects. We have used Perry Brothers two times and would highly recommend them.

Can't say enough good things about Perry Construction and would not hesitate to use them again. Have already recommended the company to neighbors and friends. On his own, Mike Ratte, a principal with Perry Construction, researched and offered to repair my cellar concrete floor which decomposed because of poor workmanship on the part of the builder/developer. Most important for me, Mike Ratte worked with my insurance company and got me more, much-needed money to complete all the repairs that were needed. He noticed that the insurance quote had not allowed enough money for the painting and also pointed out that the quote should have been based on plaster and Blueboard materials-- not drywall and compound. Very pleased with Juan who did all the carpentry work and with Peter and Chris who did all the repairs and painting to my ceilings and walls in my townhouse and painted everything in my garage. Juan is an excellent carpenter. He carefully opened my walls to check for mold, removed and replaced my guest bedroom and living room baseboards -- leveling the bottom portion of the walls. In addition, Juan installed my two bathroom mirrors and fixed the double doors to my guest bedroom closet which never closed properly. Juan even repaired the receptacle on my back porch -- damaged by the roof rakers. Peter and Chris are exceptionally good painters -- meticulous in their work. I was thrilled with the outcome of their painting. They repaired a crack in the middle of my living room wall. In addition, they were very careful not to damage anything in my townhouse and to protect my furniture, cupboards, hardwood floors, and carpets. They covered everything, vacuumed and cleaned up, and put everything back at the end of each day so that I could have the use of my kitchen and living room. Finally, Mike, Juan, Peter and Chris are extremely professional, polite and good at what they do. So happy I used Perry Construction!

Michael was the amazing team leader who responded immediately to my need to find the source of leaking through my bathroom walls and then organized all the work thereafter. The workman he supplied were easy to work with, pleasant to have in my home, kind to my aging dog... and most important, did quality work. They restored my living room ceiling which leaking has damaged, replaced the aging floor ( house built in 1900) with new underlay and timber and then tiled. They removed antique cast iron tub, old sink and toilet and replaced them with new sink and toilet and a shower stall. Also created a space next to the shower stall for new washer dryer combination.... all with plumbing and electrical work done by expert workman. I liked the fact that they accepted ideas offered by my son-in-law and also had creative ideas to make it a very satisfying job. Example. There was a closet which they removed... built into the that had been a chest of drawers. The head carpenter carefully removed that, rebuilt it as a stand-alone chest in the bathroom space once occupied by the old tub, rummaged in my barn ( at my invitation) and found perfect boards the do this and build a set of shelves now mounted on the wall. I absolutely would recommend Michael, his crew and the adjunct electricians and plumbers who worked with him. I am delighted with the finished result.

I met with this contractor in May to discuss extensive work we needed to have done on the exterior of our house. We also have several rooms with extensive water damage due to ice dams that need repairs. I met with a contractor from this firm and his wife in May. It was a very good meeting. They had asked lots of detailed questions and took lots of notes. Unfortunately, they never provided an estimate for the work. I've been focused on the exterior repair work since I wanted to address that before my interior repairs. I contacted them last week letting them know that I was disappointed that they had never submitted an estimate. I had figured they were super busy at the time, and called to see if they had more availability at this time and wanted to discuss the job. The owner of the company returned my call promptly and told me that the contractor who came out would be in touch with me. Sure enough, he called and asked for us to have a second meeting. Despite taking extensive notes at our first 1.5 hour meeting, he thought a second meeting was in order. I agreed. It was scheduled for yesterday morning. The contractor never showed up. Very disappointed by the lack of professionalism by a company that is so highly rated here on Angie's List. I recognize that contractors in my area are spread very thinly due to the horrific winter we had. But, that does not excuse this unprofessional behavior.

Seems like a stand-up guy, was willing to help us as a general contractor when others would not. We ended up not needing his services in the end but was very pleasant and professional to deal with and will definitely be working with in the future.

What stands out about our experience with Bill is how well he communicates and responds to customers and their questions and/or concerns. As we collected bids for our project and then moved forward with Perry Brothers, Bill took the time to walk us through our options and to make recommendations. For example, he was able to recommend a stronger aluminum for the gutters rather than saving a little money for a weaker alternative, but then saved us money by reusing our current slider when money got a little tight. In addition, Bill was able to discuss opportunities without pressuring us to move forward with them. For example, work on the two rooms led to the discovery of cedar siding that had likely been covered for 40 years. His crew checked out various locations around the house so we could decide whether we wanted to take off the aluminum siding or keep it as it was. The key was that Bill discussed our options without putting any pressure on us. We ended up pulling off the siding and have been very happy with the results. When I have had questions or concerns, Bill and/or his crew has responded immediately. As an example, I emailed him yesterday with a question. Even though the work was completed last November, Bill called us within an hour and one of his crew, Mike, dropped by an hour later to check out the situation. The question was answered and there was no issue with the work done, but this is just one example of how responsive they are. For a young family like us, this kind of service is a huge selling point, and we plan to call Bill for future projects. Bill's crew was excellent. Mike and Scott spent the most time on the job. They were polite, knowledgeable, and responsive to our needs. They were great with our kids and took the time to explain anything that we asked about. To sum up, we have had an excellent experience with Perry Brothers Construction. This addition was a huge financial investment for us--something that we had to save up for and cannot do very often--so having a company that was so willing to keep us informed and still follows up with us as needed has made all the difference.

It went extremely well. It took a while to get the work started given the awful winter we had, but the work was finished in 2 weeks, the crew doing the work were wonderful. They were respectful of being in someone else's house, they were skilled, detailed, and did an awesome job. We were sorry to see them go. I would recommend them to anyone and plan on using them again in the near future for a bathroom renovation.

Bill and his team were exceptional to work with. I had a constantly changing time frame and a lot of change orders that Bill was able to easily handle. I never had to worry about timeliness or work getting done on time. Bill and his brother Ed helped me through a lot of different hurdles during the project. The price is inclusive of labor and most building materials. Bill was a little high on price but in the end it was all worth it. The quality of work (specifically the finish work) was amazing. We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. I ended up doing quite a bit of work myself (some demo, bathroom tile, and painting) and he was able to work around me very easily. I would recommend Bill and his subcontractors for any job down the road.

Bill, the owner, always returned calls promptly and followed up quickly with a quote and time estimate for when he could schedule it. This at a time in late fall after a nor'easter that had every other contractor I have worked with flat out busy and unresponsive. He was courteous, helpful, and answered all questions. His crew ( Vito and coworkers) were helpful, and went above and beyond with suggestions on removing water stains easily. They worked hard in cold weather (30s). They followed up on a punch list quickly (within days). It is refreshing to work with a local construction company that returned calls and followed up to my satisfaction, including contact after the job to see if it met my satisfaction. I couldn't even get others to come look at the job and give me a quote in the time these guys came, quoted, answered my questions, and finished the whole thing....especially important for an ongoing leak, heavy rain forecasts, and winter imminent. They were straight shooters about the potential for the need to replace the underlayment, and honest about it not being necessary. I suspect th $ was in ballpark, maybe slightly high, but have no real basis for comparison, except for prior roof jobs I have had done on other houses. I can't say enough good things about what was done, how they did it, and the timeliness and responsiveness of the whole team - worth every penny.

He was here for an hour and a half was straight forward and new what he was doing. Then it took him over two weeks to get an estimate to us. He was great when he came, but by the time he gave us the estimate we had hired someone else. We need this done by Thanksgiving and he knew this. I was glad we didn't wait because his estimate was way higher then two other estimates we received. His estimate was double the price of the other two.

It's now been two months since Perry Brothers said they would get me a proposal for a second story addition to my house. This is not exactly a small project and he said he wanted the job, but as of today I have yet to receive a proposal from him or even a follow up phone call. I was very complete in my proposal with before and after sketches of the house, plot plan, dimensioned drawings and a list of features in a need, want, nice to have format. You can't get the job unless you provide a proposal. So, I guess we won't be going with Perry Brothers.

If you want quality work completed in a timely and professional manner, you should hire Perry Brothers Construction. Bill Perry, his site manager Dan and the crew are all experienced professionals, and they like to do things right. The crew was here every day and worked hard, and every one of them was courteous, and sensitive that I was working from a home office. When surprises arose (this is an old house), they would present various solutions for our consideration before proceeding with the work. They cleaned up the site at the end of every day, not just at the end of the job. The final punch list was very short, and Bill made good on every detail. He even provided window washers to clean the newly installed windows! I would definitely hire Perry Brothers again. Their work is first rate.

It's fine and they did a great job. I found someone who was also satisfied with their painting.

Bill Perry provided the estimate, called me, sent a formal proposal by email and oversaw the entire job. He used his smart phone to send me photos when issues arose. I was able to get the entire project done remotely from New York with very little trouble. The results were excellent and the tenant was thrilled. I did two onsite reviews as the work continued and found the workmen skilled, neat and aware of the tenants concern about bedding plants, etc. The work moved right along and all debris was removed and the site tidied up each day. The workers were polite and respectful of the tenant. I would certainly use Bill's team in the future if I needed additional work done on the house.

Initially they were hired to just replace the deck. They came on site and removed old deck and replaced with Trex. The workers were always on time and cleaned up at the end of each day. They discovered areas of the fascia and boards had been damaged by woodpeckers and we asked them to replace boards with Azek and change out the shutters. Work was done in a timely manner, very professional.

The job went very well considering that there were so many moving parts. Bill was very responsive to all of our needs, made helpful suggestions on how we could approach the project, and had his team perform all of the work in an efficient and professional manner. We were especially please with how swiftly the work was done. We began planning the project in October and wanted to have it done by Thanksgiving. Perry Brothers was able to get the job done in three weeks and on-time. This was not a full remodel of our kitchen (cabinets, flooring, and appliances stayed), but we feel that the work that Perry Brothers Construction performed added a great deal of value to our home and we now feel much more comfortable using our kitchen.

We are very happy with the work that was done. Perry had to demo the old bathroom and part of an adjacent room to make space for the new larger bathroom. This required significant plumbing, cabinet and electrical work. They also had to find a new door to meet the 36" ADA requirement and had one custom built to match the existing 115 year old doors in the church. You simply can't tell that the new door is not original. It looks just like all the other doors. The crew was friendly, easy to work with and kept the work area very clean. Everyone who interacted with Dan, the lead worker, had great things to say about him. His carpentry skills and attention to detail exceeded expectations. Bill Perry was very responsive to the few minor punch list items at the end of the project and always picked up the phone when called.
