After getting several bids on the job I decided to use Perry. Some of the estimates I received were way too high, another was suspiciously low---Perry's was fair! And the craftsmanship was top notch. The best compliment I can give concerns the house next door. Our property is an attached single family home. + -1 moreAfter hearing multiple horror stories about construction companies, we expected a bit of a struggle with anyone we hired for our project. Perry Brothers Construction was a breath of fresh air and exceeded our expectations. Our initial visit was with the President of the company, who made us feel confident in the services they could provide to make our dream kitchen a reality. After meeting with the Project Manager and another team member, we started the exciting process to do a full kitchen renovation and then some. Communication was never stagnant, and every question we had was answered quickly, and when a change was required, it was seamless. They brought in professionals for every phase of different work (cabinets/carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc). Every team member that worked the various projects within the renovation was professional, efficient, present, and personable. They cleaned up as they went along throughout the day and never left a mess. We really enjoyed working with them, and our boxer, Frankie, really appreciated their presence and attention! The level of detail that the team put into their work is unmatched and very impressive. We couldn’t be more pleased with the end result and we definitely plan to hire Perry Brothers Construction for our next project!

+ -1 moreWe hired Perry Bros for exterior updates to our home and were very pleased with the outcome of the project. The work involved removal of an elevated deck and 2 long brick walkways with steps, replacement of all exterior wood trim covering 3 floors above ground, construction of a new stone patio and walkways with steps, the rebuild of a screened porch (with custom-made doggy door and ramp), and exterior painting of the full structure and all trim. Workers showed up when scheduled, cleaned up well each day, and were respectful and courteous of us and our home. They worked diligently through more than one heatwave, keeping the project on schedule. We were always kept well informed of progress and the inevitable issues that arose and were provided with options to accommodate our budget and preferences. Communication with Bill Perry and project manager Mike was great whether by phone, email, or text. We’ve greatly enjoyed using the new outdoor space and have received many compliments on the appearance and quality of the work. We feel comfortable recommending Perry Bros and will not hesitate to hire again for future projects.

+ -1 moreMy wife and I moved into our home in the spring of 2022. Our house is 20 years old and it was our dream to redo our kitchen. We had no experience working with contractors before and when we asked around our neighborhood for recommendations, Perry Brothers came up over and over. We came up with a wish list which required renovating the kitchen, taking down walls, refinishing and replacing floors on the first and second floor, putting in a beam and crown molding and repainting large pieces of our home. (A tall order) Perry brothers sent over Mike Hathaway to lead our project. This guy redefines professional. He helped in every step of the process. He helped plan, price, schedule and execute our vision. My wife and I were worried about budget and timing, and Mike made sure we were always heard and taken care of. He is truly a can do person and was super kind in the face of any of our anxieties. The work Perry Brother performed is nothing short of remarkable. To say we were surprised at the end product is an understatement. In a time where interest rates are extremely high, making the most of your home is extremely important. My wife and I have a one year old and another one due in March. After all the work we did, it really feels like we had a chance to put our fingerprint down and we would highly recommend working with Perry Brothers again. Thank you very much to the full team and especially Mike. When we plan to redo our basement they will be the first call.
Description of Work: Second floor -refinish the floors in the hallway. -removed the carpet in the nursery and guest room and replace it will red wood floors. Main floor -converted the sunken family room into l new playroom. -replaced the current flooring with redwood. -replaced the recessive ceiling lighting with LED lights and added an additional one for good measure. 1st floor -removed the walls and columns and coat closet in the middle of floor to open up the space. -put in a beam with a single support beam. In the kitchen, -added a 24 inch drawer cabinet and two 12 inch fillers to existing cabinets to build a 7 foot island. Plugs installed on both ends of the island. -removed the wine rack and using some of the cabinets from above the current fridge to built housing for a new counter depth refrigerator. -removed our old microwave from above the stove and replace it will a stainless steel kitchen hood. -installed a new microwave right into the islands cabinet -replaced the old black granite counter tops with a white quartz -painted the existing cabinets and new island white. -Took out the existing sink and facet and replace it with a bigger black sink and a new black moen facet -installed gray tile work up the walls of the kitchen. In the Foyer and dining room -replaced the flooring where the walls used to be and refinish and stain the exisiting floor. -Added crown molding and chair rails around the new space. -painted the new family room and foyer walls to match playroom -removed the existing recess lights with LEDs adding 5 lights into the new family room. -Installed pendant lighting over the island and a new light fixture over the kitchen table. -replaced and painted the ceiling. -added a mounted tv to the wall to new family room

What’s special is that Perry Brothers have great follow up and works very well with condo boards . In fact, the board was so impressed with the Perry Brothers Construction that they are now employing the company for other major condo projects.

Bill provided great advice on our remodel and had thoughtful suggestions that improved the final bathroom design and functionality. Bill's employees were unfailingly polite and always willing to answer questions and share daily progress and next-steps in the work flow. There was a hiccup with the plaster sub-contractor but that was not a reflection on Perry Bros. Almost a year after project completion and we're still extremely satisfied with the work completed.

We needed to eliminate laundry equipment and add shower and closet in the space that was designated for a washer and dryer, and add outside venting. We also wanted to tile the whole bathroom up to the ceiling. The job was performed excellent and we are very happy with the choices we made. Bill Perry and his crew were working in our house before renovating basement and building rooms there, so we knew that they were the best company for us. They were great giving us advice to improve on things that we wanted done, so they look and work better with a given space. We are very happy again. Thank you Perry Brothers!
