Description of Work: Called Mr. Ryan to fix leak in our refrigerator. Came promptly, did the job professionally. I never felt that he was out to "fix things that were not broken". In Jan of 2013 I called him about a problem with another refrigerator and he told me over the phone how I could fix the problem myself. He seems to be a man of integrity and I would definitely hire him again.

+ -1 moreMr. Ryan was great! He responded promptly to our call, came the next day, was incredibly nice, tried to help us out with deciding how much to repair, and did a fine job. I would call him again in a second. I will also note that I have a Sears repair contract, but they weren't going to come for 3 weeks! Not only did Mr. Ryan come the next day, but he had all the likely parts with him (bought in advance) so that no more time was wasted going back out for parts.
Description of Work: Replaced a few failed parts on a dryer.

+ -1 moreI just moved into a home where the dishwasher was working at the home inspection, but was not working for me now. I found Ryan Appliance Service through Angie's List and gave a call. I had to leave a message, but the voice mail message indicated that he was on a job and would return calls at lunchtime. At lunchtime, Rick called and I explained that I had a non-working dishwasher and all the circuit breakers were on. He asked if there might be a separate power switch somewhere. At that point I realized that there was a wall switch that I couldn't figure out what it was for. After trying the switch, bingo, it was working. Thanks to Rick for just a simple suggestion which avoided an in-home visit.

+ -1 moreCalled Ryan Appliance at 4PM in the afternoon to report problem. Received a call back that evening. Came out the next day during the agreed upon time. Diagnosed problem; kindly explained the problem to me. I asked advise on lint management. He helped me clean lint from the end of the house, then cleaned lint from the back of the machine for me. (This cost: $60). He ordered the part; the parts arrived in the time period he predicted. As he promised, he called on the day he said he would to make an appt to finish the job. He arrived exactly when he said he would. Did the job quickly, efficiently. Dryer now humming away downstairs... (This part of the job cost, $193.00, parts and labor. Labor: $20. Parts: 164.90+tax). Overall: Kind. Knowledgable. Efficient. Helpful. Great experience.

Description of Work: The owner arrived first thing in the morning after I called with a broken washing machine. He only charged $55 for the visit which is about $20 less than average. My machine is 27 years old & has to be replaced. Rick told me where to go & which brand to buy. The place he recommended was great & the same price as Sears!
