Attempting to wrap up long outstanding tasks around my home prior to selling, I found myself running out of time leading up to the self imposed deadline to get my home listed. I contacted Larkin painting to have a banister and the footing the railing sits on stained, as well as the ceiling repainted in my living room. I informed them of my tight timeline. With no availability during normal business hours to provide an estimate, they sent someone out in the evening (5:30/6 o'clock) about one day after initially contacting them just to accommodate my timeframe. During the estimate visit, which was free, they were very honest with me even to the point of hinting that it wasn't a very difficult job and I could probably handle it myself and save the money. Clearly they weren't interested in taking me for a ride or just accepting a job to get paid, they seemed genuinely interested in what was in the best interest of the customer. After accepting the estimate, they were able to schedule the actual work within the next week. On the day the work was scheduled, the painter showed up about 15 minutes early (approximate a 7:30am start) and was sitting in his van essentially waiting to start. After seeing him, I told him starting early wasn't a problem and he came in and got to work. The painter was very nice and respectful of the house...taking off shoes, carefully laying down tarps and patient with my dog who was doing his best to get in the way. The end product was perfect with zero complaints and the work was completed faster than intended. In my case, the price was a little higher than I would have expected. However, I was told very honestly upfront that I would need to pay the daily minimum and since my job was really less than a days work I was effectively probably paying more per hour than other customers would see on larger jobs. So this is not an indication Larkin has high prices, but rather specifc to work I was having done. And I was happy to pay a premium to get the long outstanding task done and done correctly. I would highly recommend Larkin and I anticipate I will probably see them again as I move to my new home.

I can't say enough positive things about this painting company. Christine showed up on time and stayed late til the job was done. She did an AWESOME Job! She was patient and precise. Making sure all floors were covered before she started and there was no mess at the end. On top of the great work the price can't be beat! I will certainly be using them again. Ask for Christine, she is great!

Bill Larkin was personable, very responsive via email and phone, and was available to do the job immediately. He helped me determine how to pick the right color and his team arrived promptly on the morning of the painting. They used drop cloths over our things and they were friendly and professional. Bill arrived shortly after to make sure that the work would be done as planned. I left and returned home to find a perfectly painted home. Thank you all!

The men were hard working with great attention to detail. They hung dust shields in the doorways. Each day they cleaned up so that the wooden floors were spotless. They were very quiet, polite and I trusted them alone in the house while I ran errands. The end result - since the paper won't go up until after Jan. 1 - is that the space looks white, satin smooth, and like a new addition. Remarkable work from exceptional painters. Highly recommend. We will ask Bill Larkin for a quote on doing the exterior house painting this spring based on the quality of interior work.

Prompt response; communicates well and often through email and on the phone. Painter was able to complete both rooms in one day and the results were immaculate. Wallpaper was also done quickly and perfectly. Pricing was extremely fair, will never paint a room myself again. Also, everyone associated with the company is so nice. Got an estimate on an interior painting job on a very tight timeline. They responded promptly to calls, came out to give an estimate and arrived when they said they would. Estimate came in when promised, as well. Unfortunately the timeline was tight enough that they did not have a crew available in the small slot we had to work with. They are on the "to call" list for future work, however.

They were given a good rating and I used them. They were very good. The cost was $30 an hour. I liked that they responded quickly. They came out. They were very professional. They arrived on time and finished on time. The work was great.

Very well. A little longer than expected due to the rains in June and heat in July. We are satisfied with the job and they take care to please you.

Bill came out at the scheduled time and sent an estimate a few days later. I hired him based on his price, his expertise and his presentation. I asked for the estimate to be broken down in a certain way so I could pick and choose scope as the kitchen renovation part of the project progressed and he was happy to do it. Prior to the job starting responsiveness to some scheduling questions took a little while, but i think it was due to how busy he is. The painters came right on schedule and did the job quickly. Their work was very good and they were very neat. They were very pleasant and easy to have working in the house. We asked them to come back to do a little touch up on some baseboards and the did that promptly and without question. This is a high quality company looking to provide very good service at a very fair price. I highly recommend them.

I thought the quote was high based on the comparisons. He was punctual and easy to talk to. He was thorough.

The meeting was fine and I was impressed by Mr. Larkin. He was prompt and professional. I did decide not to go with him due to his estimate being higher than the company that I used. The people in his office were very nice too. Based on the estimate being so much higher, I would probably not use them in the future.

We were particularly nervous about the prospect of painting our cabinets, but Bill was extremely knowledgeable and we were confident that he would do an excellent job. He was very helpful in showing us paint swatches to assist us in choosing colors and even offered to answer any questions we might have in the future, even after we had decided we could not have him do the project. He is a true professional. I whish we could have used his services. I would not hesitate to recommend him to a friend.

Bill and his crew do exemplary work from start to finish. Bill is easy to work with and is well organized from the time of getting an estimate all the way through finishing the job. They even care enough to follow up after to ensure everything was done correctly - and they really care that you're happy. His crew painted 4 rooms for us over the course of 2 different projects and I couldn't be happier with their work. Our jobs were not easy because they required painting dark stained wood trim, but Larkin's crew were meticulous in their work - sanding and priming for days to make sure the end product was right. I have very high standards and it was clear that Bill's crew does too and they take pride in their work, which comes through in the end result. We absolutely love the rooms they've painted and it's really brightened up the space tremendously! Unfortunately we learned the hard way (with other rooms and other painters) that having the right painters really matter. I highly recommend Larking painting for any job. We're even considering having them come back to clean up other people's poorly done jobs so everything is up to their standards!

They were great to deal with. I was a first time customer. They returned my call and got me an estimate quickly. Mike and son came on time, worked without delay and was done in 3 hours. We are very happy with the results.

SEEING HIM WALK OUT THE DOOR WITHOUT LAUGHING AT HIS OVERPRICING WAS EXACTLY HOW HE WENT...THERE ARE MANY, MANY BETTER PAINT PRICED LABORERS, THOUGH ADMITTEDLY HIS REPUTATION ON THE WORK ITSELF IS BETTER THAN AVERAGE, AS I WAS TOLD, ANYWAY....

They did a fantastic job! The living room looks absolutely beautiful. Bill, the owner, promptly set up an appointment to come provide an estimate. He spent quite a bit of time with me looking at colors and making suggestions. We hired professionals to paint this room because of all the windows and detailed trim work. I spoke with the crew chief on the phone the day before they started, and he told me he estimated the job would take 2 1/2 days. I thought to myself, there's no way it'll be done that fast! Well, that was before I saw them in action! Having done quite a bit of painting on my own, it was really impressive to watch the professionals. They meticulously sanded, cleaned, and prepared the walls. The finished product looks amazing. I'm most impressed with job they did on the trim and windows - it just looks fantastic. I would definitely use them again.

We requested quotations to restore the peeling surface of our ceilings. We were unsure whether we had calcimine ceiling coatings that would no longer hold paint, or inadequately cured plaster, or if we had a problem with moisture (moisture appears to be the problem). Bill responded promptly to the contact and arrived punctually to scope out the work. He seemed knowledgeable and professional, and proposed a solution to restore the ceiling surface. His proposal was submitted after a week or so, and was competirtive. However, we decided to accept a proposal from others to re-sheetrock and skim-coat the ceilings, to assure that we don't have problems in the future, as well as to .avoid any potential lead paint issues.

Everything went very well. Mr. Larkin, the owner came himself to look at the job. He gave the quote right away. They finished the job within the time they promised. . All the employees were very professional, everyday before they left, they thoroughly cleaned up the area. Overall we are very happy with this co. and definitely will recommend their services to all

Working with Bill Larkin and his staff is a joy. Always professional but personable. This was the third project we have had Larkin Painting handle for us and again the project was scheduled and completed as promised. Oak trim had not been refinished since initially installed 20 years ago, painter worked diligently to ensure that the refinishing took and looked like new. The paper hanger used by Larkin Painting is a perfectionist. We receive compliments on how well the paper was hung. Not how it looks but how it was hung, seams are invisible. We will be using Larkin Painting for any future project.

The works looks great and you really can't tell we did not replace the entire cabinet structure. This company was recommended and brought on my the kitchen company we used, but we worked directly with Bill and his office to schedule the work and everything went smoothly. There were no surprises or issues.

Larkin was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. He was prompt in meeting us for an estimate and the work was performed on time and the quality was excellent. The painters were very professional and they did a fantastic job - the paint colors look great and the edges are exact. We would highly recommend Larkin to anyone who needs a great painter for the interior of their home. They even gave us a welcome basket after the job was done!

Bill Larkin arrived and provided the initial estimate. His estimate was the highest we received but he also inspired the most confidence. He sent a 3-man crew who were courteous, professional and very competent. The quality of the work was very good and they responded to our requests in a timely manner. There was one minor delay: one day where we were expecting work to be performed no one showed up but the overall project was still completed ahead of schedule. Like any project, there were some minor imperfections here and there (an occasional paint drip, area not cleaned up, missed spot, etc) but they were extremely minor and we didn't feel they were even worth making a fuss over. If we had, I'm sure it would have been rectified. Phone calls were generally returned in a prompt manner. Highly recommended.
