We were very impressed with Larkin and will definitely use them again. The owner, Bill, came out to our home quickly and was thorough in the quote. We have an older (1911) house and horsehair plaster. The work was extremely professional and they responded very quickly and calmly to a couple of unexpected things. After the work was done they made sure we were satisfied before formally requesting the final payment - the day after they left our kids pushed a chair into the newly painted wall and Larkin fixed it at no charge so we would be fully satisfied with the project. We highly recommend them.

The Larking painting team of 4 fabulous painters did outstanding work. completing painting the house faster than I ever could have imagined. They worked from Monday through Monday only taking Sunday off. The quality of the work is EXCELLENT and I am thrilled over and over again looking at how much better my house looks! I give Larkin Painting my highest recommendation.

They were too high on the estimate. They return your calls. He came out right away. He was professional. He understood what needed to be done. Everything was good with him. He came out. It was just a matter of pricing.

Fabulous . Used them because of recommendations on Angie's list. Very nice crew, varied from to day but lots of communication. Used the color consultant which was very helpful because I had been indecisive for years. Estimate was very detailed .

They're punctual, courteous, respectful of our property, and accommodating to the medical needs of my mother-in-law. They're clean, efficient, and came out in a timely manner. They've made excellent suggestions about colors, and when I come home at the end of the day, you can never tell there were ever painters there. They're truly fantastic to deal with. I recommend them to anyone in the Boston Metro-West area who needs a true professional painter. I'd use them again in a hearbeat!

Everything went quite smoothly, and the resulting rooms look wonderful. They painted our ceilings, filled gaps in the crown molding, and painted our bedroom. Larkin and his staff did a very good job communicating with us via email, setting schedule expectations, submitting the proposal online complete with references, responding to questions, and tweaking the proposal as needed. The one surprise (a pleasant one) is that they were able to send an additional worker, so the whole job took well under a day to complete, instead of the planned 2 days. Larkin was the only company we contacted that didn't choose to do a site visit before sending an estimate. But I had precise measurements of the areas to be painted, and photographs, so there were no surprises. The job was pretty straightforward, so we were glad that we didn't need to take time out of our schedule to do an unnecessary walk-through. The painters were fast and efficient, and we haven't found any problems with their work. Larkin's price was very competitive. They waited to invoice us until they were sure we were satisfied. We will strongly consider Larkin for our upcoming exterior painting project.

Larkin Painting was extremely easy to work with. I actually sent them photos of the damage and they gave me an estimate based on the photos and description. The prices were reasonable and the final prices matched what they had originally quoted. To come do an in-person estimate, they would have charged a fee, which would then have been used toward the actual work. They offered the online photo evaluation for free. As an independent business person myself, I respected that they need to protect themselves from wasting time coming to your house and giving out free quotes to people who are just quote hunting. They were very open with what they thought needed to be done with regard to the water damage. They actually went to great efforts to salvage some wall area that they felt could be saved even though we'd freely told them we were ok with paying for it to be demolished and redone. The workers were prompt, polite and cleaned everything. One of the painters did a little extra painting that he hadn't been asked to do just because he thought it would look better and it would take him a lot less time than it would take us to do! All money was invoiced after the job was finished. We were very pleased and would definitely use them again.

Super team. Armand was the team leader and he was reliable, responsible and cleaned up afterwards. He was a cheery presence as I left for work each morning. During the painting they discovered that they needed to plaster a small room's ceiling and the price they came up with was reasonable. My only issue is that they didn't follow up with me after the last day of painting to walk through and make sure everything was OK. There were a few areas that needed a little touch-up. But when I contacted the company a few months later (my delay), they scheduled my right in and Phil came out and did a stellar job. I would recommend this company - they weren't cheap but they were professional, responsible and they did do a very nice job.

Had a great experience with Larkin Painting. Christine, who is a project manager, was so incredibly helpful and knowledgeable in colors. She steered me in the right direction many times. And the quality of work was excellent, would definitely hire them again (and will)!

Starting from the beginning they arrived on time with a very efficient representative to assess what had to be done. Came early each day and worked well until it was done. The cleanup was done very well. Pleasant and attentive workers ready to help with any requests. They worked very neatly in order to preserve our original dark colored woodwork. It was also very nice that they were able to adjust their work to accommodate our summer schedule as well. I have used another lousy painter in the past and found that it pays to find one with a lot of users and good reviews on Angies list.

They are very professional. They moved furniture and took pictures down for me. Their quote was less than other painters. I did feel that they were very competitive. They are very punctual.

Being a first time homeowner I was pretty nervous calling a painter without any personal recommendations. Bill, the owner, provided a quote in line with what my research suggested for high quality painters. The two painters that actually did the work were punctual and efficient. The job took two days longer than originally expected because of my high standards and the original quality of the walls, but otherwise everything went exactly as planned. I couldn't be happier with the result and expect that we will use them again in the future. Highest recommendation.

Fantastic company to work with. Responsive and prompt . My project had some timing issues to coordinate a carpet installation with another company and they were very willing to do what it took to get the room completed in the short window available so there was no delay in getting the carpet in on the day before Thanksgiving. They very capably matched the existing paint colors for all the rooms that had new windows installed as each one of them needed touch ups around the windows and we were unable to find any of the old paint information.They followed up after the job was done to make sure we were happy and it's clear they care about customer satisfaction. I will definitely call them to quote my next painting project.

We had our large house converted from oil with a two-pipe radiator-based steam system to natural gas with high-velocity air and A/C. During this conversion, we used ten distinct contractors, and it required restoring 25 distinct rooms, halls and alcoves. We chose Larkin for the painting and restoration because of its reputation on Angie?s List and Christine?s ability to match colors precisely. For example, where radiators were removed, there was either none or inappropriate paint behind them, and wallpaper exposed or damaged. In order to avoid repainting the entire room, they were able to match the paint, fill in the cracks and holes in the walls and tiles. Their artistry and matching was superb to the point where you couldn?t tell whether it was their painted plaster or tile without touching it. When they quoted the work, it was complete and in detail, but they reduced our final billing because some parts of the job were easier than they anticipated. Christine and Kevin were especially friendly and helped in lots of things that were not their responsibility. Furthermore, they carefully cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. In our experience, they were tops, and we would be glad to recommend them to others.

The Larkin Painting Company was excellent. When they first came to meet me and determine the scope of work, they were punctual, professional, and warm, and asked excellent questions and took good notes. They also offered good professional advice on different finishes and techniques. Their bid arrived within 24 hours and was detailed and thorough and price-wise was exactly in the middle of other bids received. In contrast, some other companies who offered bids had big areas marked "TBD" on the bid, despite the fact that we had gone over specific paint colors and finishes. Christine was the foreperson on our job, and she and her team were professional, curteous, careful, and solicitous. Because I was unable to be on-site daily to check on progress, she thoughtfully emailed photographs. We are very happy with the job The Larkin Painting Company did, and I look forward to working with them on future projects.

Incredible to work with, a total A+++ throughout. From the first time they walked in the door, we knew these were professionals - this set them apart from others that we talked to as they made suggestions throughout, gave advice and guided us so we could make the best decisions for the painting of our house. They went above and beyond, did a gorgeous job, were on time (every worker who came was neat and clean, cleaned up at end of the day, were courteous and thoughtful throughout). They worked with our schedule (and the weather - and when rain was coming, talked to us in advance so we knew how things would go). We couldn't ask for more and people still comment on the beautiful job they did and we are happy to recommend them as the best choice to anyone looking for painting, either interior or exterior.

They were great--and this was one of the lower estimates I received (the estimate range was huge--about $700-$2500!). They were very fast, and the paper looks perfect. They were in and out in just about three hours for the entire job. It was difficult paper, too (for reference, the papers were Andrew Martin, Casadeco and Schumacher uncoated). My walls are fairly old, but all I had to do in preparation was put on a coat of Fresh Start primer. Pretty simple. I'm sure they would have done it for a trivial cost but I was priming anyway. One note: the way they price is by the roll, not the room or the job--every time they use a roll, you pay a fixed price. This is a wonderful way of pricing, because it is so transparent--you can imagine different decorating scenarios and know exactly what it will cost, without having to keep calling Bill back to revise estimates. And again, I got four quotes and Larkin's was essentially the lowest. Bill Larkin was also the first person to call me back after I sent off inquiries. Basically, not only would I hire them again, I'm actually more inclined to put up wallpaper because the process was so painless.

When Bill came to my home to review the job, it was raining. He took his shoes off so that he wouldn't track anything in. Very considerate, which I appreciated. They were very accommodating to my schedule. The pleasant staff made everything so easy.

From beginning to end, working with Bill Larkin and his company was a wonderful experience. Bill provided the original estimate, which was thorough and comparable to a larger painting company from whom we also requested an estimate. He promised that the work would be completed by the end of the month, and even though we added in quite a bit of additional work to the original scope, it was all finished on time. The work that his team - headed by Christine and Armend - did was of the highest quality. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant, professional, and flexible. Christine was incredibly helpful with color selection and general decisions (whether or not to paint certain areas) and I truly valued her insight and opinion on these matters. About halfway through the job, Armend and I walked around the house looking at the various areas he painted, and it was clear that he takes a lot of pride and care in the work he does - and with good reason: the house looks absolutely beautiful and we couldn't be happier. In addition, communicating with Donna (who manages the office) was effortless and so pleasant - she answered any question or request I had immediately and with pleasure. We were so thrilled to find this wonderful company and will certainly be calling on them again in the coming years any painting projects that come up.

It went well and once the work started it was completed in a few days.
