Description of Work: The Larkin Painting Company painted our entire home in the 4 day time frame that they promised. They ended up doing additional work (wall repairs) that wasn't initially part of the deal. They were great, delivered what they promised and were a pleasure to work with. Christine did a color consult and was on the site often checking in. We would use them again in the future and will refer them to anyone that asks!

Description of Work: We used the Larkin company for painting our 2-story foyer and a large family room with 13 foot ceilings. They were very professional and prompt with their quotes and a pleasure to work with. The painters themselves were very polite and respectful and not at all intrusive. They completed the two rooms, including the ceiling in 1.5 days, cleaning up everything behind them. | |This was such a pleasurable experience, we are looking forward to getting more rooms painted by Larkin in the near future.

Description of Work: Larkin repainted almost the entire interior of our house. Their performance was in every aspect marked by unusual excellence, from the swiftness and completeness of the estimate to the preparation and painting itself. More than being prompt and professional in every way, the painters were helpful and responsive and, in what could have been an intrusive situation, an actual pleasure to have around. On schedule, on time, on budget and performance of very high quality- one could not ask for more. The cost was comparable to estimates from other painting companies (most on Angie's List) and completely fair, given the quality of the work performed. We would most certainly use Larkin Painting again, and would recommend them to friends without reservation.

Description of Work: Larkin has done work on my house twice. The first time, approximately 2 years ago, they removed wallpaper and painted the interior walls of my downstairs apartment. Because the walls have horsehair plaster, this was delicate work. They did fantastic work. Everyone who has seen the apartment has commented on how great the walls look. His work crew were polite, punctual, and a pleasure to deal with. The second job that Larkin did was painting the exterior of my home. Once again, the work was superb and the crew was professional and lovely. I highly recommend this company and will definitely use them in the future.

 + -1 moreWork was done earlier than expected. Bill was always prompt and good to bounce ideas off of. Overall they did a wonderful job freshening up and repairing those rooms. It looks great. If I'd had the money, I'd have added more rooms!
Description of Work: Prepped and painted three rooms: dining room, bedroom and large upper hall. Did some small carpentry repairs as well. The house is an 1818 farmhouse with many original plaster walls. Quite a challenge.

BILL IS A TRUE PROFESSIONAL, WHO TAKES GREAT PRIDE IN THE HIGH QUALITY OF HIS WORK. HE IS POLITE, PUNCTUAL, AND VERY EASY TO GET ALONG WITH. WHEN WE HAD TO DELAY THE BEGINNING OF OUR JOB, DUE TO ICE DAM PROBLEMS, BILL WAS VERY UNDERSTANDING AND CONTINUED TO HONOR A WINTERTIME DISCOUNT (WASN'T EVEN BROUGHT UP AS AN ISSUE). PRICE WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF 3 ESTIMATES RECEIVED. IN ADDITION TO THE HIGH QUALITY OF THE JOB, HE WAS VERY CAREFUL WITH THE NEWLY REFINISHED HARDWOOD FLOORS, CLEANED UP DAILY, HELPED MOVE A VERY HEAVY CHINA CABINET FROM ONE ROOM TO ANOTHER, AND AIDED IN THE SELECTION OF A COLOR FOR ONE OF OUR ROOMS. HIS HELPER, MARCEL, ALSO DESERVES PRAISE, AS HE SHARES THE SAME HIGH DEGREE OF PROFESSIONALISM.

 + -1 moreBILL CAME WITH RICK OF ORCUTT PAINTING. WE NEEDED TO HAVE THE CONDO PAINTED IN A 2-3 WEEK PERIOD OF TIME/COORDINATING WITH THE FLOOR PEOPLE. THEY WERE AMAZING. FIRST THEY WERE FLEXIBLE WITH OUR SCHEDULE AND CAME AT A MOMENT'S NOTICE AS THE FLOOR PEOPLE KEPT ON CHANGING THE SCHEDULE. THEY WERE ABLE TO GIVE PAINT COLOR SUGGESTIONS AND BASICALLY MADE THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE PAINLESS. I WILL USE THEM AGAIN.

WE ALSO LIKED THAT HE SEEMED TO APPRECIATE THE UNIQUE ARCHITECTURE OF OUR HOME. THE WORK HE DID WAS COMPLETED QUICKLY AND BEAUTIFULLY, AND HE ALWAYS TIDIED UP AT THE END OF A PAINTING DAY. ALONG WITH PAINTING, HE DID A LOT OF CAULKING AND SOME SKIM-COATING, SO THE SURFACES ARE SMOOTH AND CLEAN. PLUS, HE''S A REALLY NICE PERSON--INTELLIGENT AND FUN TO TALK WITH--SO IT WAS NICE HAVING HIM IN THE HOUSE. THAT''S NO SMALL MATTER FOR SOMEONE LIKE ME WHO WORKS AT HOME. LASTLY, I LIKE DOING RENOVATION WORK MYSELF AND INITIALLY IT WAS HARD TO HAND OVER THE PROJECT TO SOMEONE ELSE. PLUS, THE WAY HE SPOKE ABOUT THE JOB, THE QUESTIONS HE ASKED, THE THINGS HE NOTICED ABOUT THE HOUSE, ETC., REALLY INSPIRED CONFIDENCE IN US THAT HE WOULD DO A GOOD JOB.
