Bill and his team did a terrific job. The plaster in my house is over 100 years old - his team both repaired and matched the paint perfectly. They were very polite, punctual, friendly, and cleaned up after they were done.

Mr. Larkin arrived the first day and went over everything with his workers. His workers stayed for the whole day. They returned and did a spectacular job !!!

Bill showed up on time to give an estimate for a large job. 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, 2 pantries, living room, dining room, long hallway, stairway (requiring staging), and front foyer. All of which had wallpaper circa 1970 to be removed, plaster repaired, and ceilings and walls prepped and painted. There was also an additional kitchen and bathroom upstairs to be prepped and painted as well as the removal of a drop-down ceiling. Overall, I found Bill to be very observant (noticing things that even I hadn't noticed) and thorough. His estimate was detailed and his price reasonable. I received 4 estimates for the work. One overbid and the other 3 were within a few hundred dollars of each other. I narrowed my choice down to two and when I couldn't decide who to hire (both had excellent Angie's List reviews), I went with the other painter because my window installer had hired him to paint his house and liked his work. So if I didn't have this other painter, I would have definitely hired Bill.

Bill's initial visit included extra time spent in making color recommendations. Bill sent a very detailed and professional proposal and contract. We agreed upon the work, I gave Bill my color selections and he scheduled my job for the next week. The job was completed a day earlier than promised. The paint job is excellent. It included cleaning up woodwork in the dining room which had been subject to a very sloppy job from a prior contractor. Although this was not a large job, Bill gave it his full attention.

Bill and his crew came on time, worked meticulously and cleaned up at the end of each day. Bill suggested a change in the original plan---varnishing instead of painting some of the cabinets--and it was a good recommendation. Even gave the cabinets third coat of varnish when requested. We had a problem with finding the right combination of paints for the color wash. Bill made many attempts on large boards and consulted with a colorist until we found what looked like the right mix. However, after it went up on the walls, it was clearly too saturated a color and overpowered the back splash and counter top. Bill returned to work on the problem--determined to find a solution--and persevered until he came up with a way to tone down the color while retaining the effect. Bill was patient and receptive --another workman would probably have been pretty frustrated and given up on the color wash process. He truly takes pride in his work and is very concerned re: customer satisfaction.

Bill was very friendly and extremely professional. Even though he was on vacation when we first called, he was still able to set up a time to meet. We walked through room by room, and he asked exactly what we wanted him to do, took notes on everything, and was very organized in general. He was upfront in saying he would give us the worst-case quote for the wallpaper removal because he wouldn't know how easy or hard the removal would be until he actually did it. We ended up choosing another contractor who had similar reputation but lower price. However, I'm sure Bill would have done a stellar job as well.

Bill and the guys did amazing. Bill came out twice to give estimates (we hired a color consultant in between and the job changed). He was very attentive to our needs, and was willing o work with our color choices. We also were concerned that we were going to stay in the house for the duration of the job with two little kids and Bill reassured us that they will work around us and use VOC paint. The were punctual, clean, and the quality was outstanding!!!!

They did a fantastic job, absolutely unbelievable. I would definitely recommend them and hire them again!

I checked it a few times and they are doing an excellent job, I am very pleased. One great thing about the company is the head of the company is very accessible, Bill Larkin, and he listens carefully and he will easily make adjustments.

It took Bill Larkin several days to return our initial call (he said he had been out of town), but when he did we arranged a time for him to stop by to give us an estimate that week. On the scheduled evening, Bill was over an hour late showing up, as he had forgotten our appointment. When he did arrive he apologized profusely. He gave us a rough estimate for the work that night and then emailed us with a firm estimate the next day as we requested. His prices were more reasonable than quotes we had gotten from some other painters. Bill told us up front that it may be a few days before he could fit us into his schedule, but seemed to make every attempt to get us in as soon as he could, as he knew we were eager to get the job done. On the first day Bill and his team of two painters arrived at the scheduled time and went over the job with my husband. After that Bill left and the two painters worked the full day, painting the ceilings and all of the trim in the two rooms. On the second day the painters were about a half hour late showing up, but once they arrived they worked hard the whole day to finish the job. It appeared that they may have been a little bit rushed finishing the bathroom (a couple of paint dribbles that had not been smoothed over), but overall we were happy with the quality of the work. While here they also patched up and painted over a hole in one of our other bedrooms which they did not charge us for and cleaned our ceiling fan. Bill and his team were friendly and courteous. We would use them again.

I had two companies, including Larkin Painting, lined up for estimates. After Bill from Larkin Painting came over to give his estimate, though I decided right then to use him for the job and canceled the appointment for the next estimate as I was very impressed with his candor and thoroughness during the meeting. (The reason I left the price marked as N/A is due to the fact that I did not get another estimate). I absolutely needed the job done within the next two and a half weeks. As he said he would, he completed it within that time. Also, during that time he was quick to respond to phone calls and always showed up on time for planned meetings at the site. The walls and ceilings were in rough shape before they began. After they were done things looked better than I could've imagined. Both my wife and I were very impressed and happy with the results.

The crew was punctual, professional and courteous. The entire job was completed in four days. Items were moved and returned to their original locations and clean up was first rate.

Bill Larkin did the estimate and was very professional and courteous. Two of his painters did the actual work, with Bill checking in. When they were finishing up I noticed that they forgot to caulk around one of the tubs. They apologized and quickly took care of it. An overall good experience.

Job was done very well, on time, and within estimate.

Bill was extremely nice and helpful on the phone. He warned me that he's on the more expensive end, especially since he'd have to drive a ways to get to our house, but offered to give me some other names if I'd prefer. I opted to have him give a quote anyhow, but we were stymied by the snowstorms. I called and told him that he didn't have to (nor should he) drive in the bad weather, so he offered to come out the following week. We had a great, affordable quote from someone who I liked already and who could start immediately, so ultimately, I decided against Bill. He was, however, one of the nicest and most honest contractors I've dealt with on the phone.

Went very well from estmate to clean up. I'm using Bill to paint the interior of our new house, and have recommended to a friend in Boston.

Excellent customer service, upfront about scheduling and overall timing of work. workers extremely polite and respectful of my wife and 2 years old daughter who were frequently in the house as work was being done. Workers did forget to paint the trim in one room, and the account was credited. They would have come back but I'll get further work done this Winter when they will complete that room.

We are pleased with the process, and the quality of the work, this company provided. It may have been the least disrupted painting experience we've had.

The job took one week and all went well. The workers were prompt, courteous, and left the house clean each night. I would definitely recommend Bill and his crew to anyone!

It went well. We were satisfied with the work and the manner and speed at which it was done. We had noticed a minor problem in one area of the ceiling that we wanted Bill to fix and he came back and addressed our concern.

We chose them because the estimate was the most reasonable. He gave us a lot of advice even though we hadn't made a decision yet & said that he would be flexible with coordinating around the other house projects that were going on. They arrived on time & coordinated around the flooring guys (both levels). I appreciated his consideration because I fell sick with fever the day they were to start, & I couldn't get to our home from our temporary apt, so I couldn't pay him the initial payment till a week later. He never pressed me for it. Because I fell ill, he found the sample jars & painted the sample sheets out for me so that I could check them out that weekend and decide. He never charged us for it (it was 5 sheets of paints). Painters were quiet, professional, polite, and cleaned up after themselves. They returned to redo the trims after the flooring & movers were done. Extra jobs were added on. We still have to connect regarding the chipping on wood panels. Holidays made it difficult.

Excellent performance. Bill Larking made sure he and his crew could start on time, which they did as agreed. Worked very efficiently and with outstanding cleanliness. Minor defects were repaired. Walls and ceilings were painted according to our expectations. Some walls required two paint layers. Highly professional job. Trim around windows and doors very well done with needed minor repair performed on the wood. Finished earlier than anticipated. Larkin has an excellent, friendly and clean crew. I can highly recommend his company. Their pricing is commensurate with the high quality of their job.

He responded quickly to the request for an estimate. The estimate was very detailed. I am confident he would do a very good job. But we went with another painter because the price was slightly lower. The choice was difficult. We would absolutely consider calling him again.
