Description of Work: SavATree did not return my messages promptly, despite the fact the Angie's List special stated that SavATree would contact me within two days of my purchase of SavATree's service. | |I had requested tree pruning in my yard. An arborist from SavATree came to our property to assess the tree. She advised against pruning the tree, so we did not have the work done. | |The arborist was excellent: she was on time for her appointment, polite, knowledgeable, and patient with my questions about the trees on our property.

Description of Work: Bought a deal on Angie's and was contacted by the local office and told that I was out of their service area, but I would be contacted by their other office which covered my town. A few days later the other office called me and informed me they don't honor the deal I bought. So I called Angie's and got a refund. Waste of time!

Description of Work: We have a Crimson King Maple tree in front of our house that provides much needed shade in the summer for our south facing house. Unfortunately, it has been besieged by winter moth larvae and so we had a pre-emptive treatment this spring to prevent the devastation from last year. It helped a lot by killing many of the larvae. They also recommended a direct root fertilization that was a bit slow in coming (July), but come they did and hopefully it will help save the tree. I find their prices a bit high but they seem to know what they are doing and have always been very courteous and honest about the prospects.

Description of Work: I left a message for them on your web site and my call was returned for an appointment. She gave me a time and I said I could not do it at that time but could do it later. We set up an appointment for 11am and on the day of the appointment I left for my physical therapy at 9 and when I returned he had come at 9:30 (which was the time I had said I had another appointment). I called back and got an e mail saying that he had looked at my yard and would sent me an estimate. Then he sent a message asking what I was thinking about doing. I wrote back and gave him all the information and asked what he thought needed to be done. I have not heard from them since even though I re sent the message asking if he had seen mine. At this point I will try someone else.

Description of Work: Ben Dugdale and his field crew performed the annual tree pruning of 2 trees at our home as well as the plantings along each side. As usual, Ben and his crew are professional, highly knowledgeable, respectful and prepared to answer any number of questions about the trees and plants in this area. They have a great attention to detail and are ecologically-minded. SAVATREE is a great resource for me and for this community. I highly recommend them.

+ -1 moreearly in the year, an arborist visits our yard and we work out the best plan for the year depending on the condition of the plants. This year, I had to cut the budget. They were accommodating and made suggestions as to how we could still address the most pressing issues without causing future problems. They call ahead when the work is scheduled and the crews show up as promised and are thorough and professional. Sometimes they notice new problems and they can spray while they are here but have not charged me extra. The arborist has stopped by two additional times this year when I had concerns on a couple of large trees. They always respond quickly. All of our plants and trees are doing well under their care.
Description of Work: this is our 4th year with SavATree. They perform a series of sprays and feedings during the year. They saved our Hemlocks which were attacked by adelgids last year.

They trimmed and provided treatment for a huge holly bush that was covered with a sooty like mold and other bugs and now it is picture perfect. They also call to remind you when they will be there and they use environmentally safe products. The people that work for this company are very nice and very professional. No hidden costs, everything was in writing. I highly recommend this company.

+ -1 moreHave used this company for several years now. Last year, came up with a program to save some important hemlocks that had become infested with adelgids. Knowledgeable and friendly arborists. This year, they worked with us to provide the services we needed in a cost-effective way. I like them because their treatments are horticultural oil and biodegradable sprays and their fertilizers are also naturally derived. All treated plants are healthy and thriving.

They were honest enough to tell us that we really didn't need to spend the money to cut this tree down or even to trim the branches. They said that the power line people would trim the branches. They gave us lots of good advice and didn't charge us for coming out. They were very responsive and professional.
Description of Work: We had them come out to see about cutting down some branches that were overgrowing into the power lines. They decided that it wasn't necessary.
