Company was knowledgable about lawn and issues that arose. First hired them last fall for a nut sedge issue and to aerate and overseed lawn. Nut sedge treatment worked at the time but came back with a vengeance this summer, more on that later. The aeration and overseeding was not so good. Noticed little to no plugs on the lawn and the sections that were bare are still bare. This summer, more specifically in mid July I noticed brown patches and the nut sedge returning. I notified them and after a week or so they came out to diagnose dollar spot disease and nut sedge. It took 4 weeks from my original email telling them about the problem for them to schedule someone to come treat it. Sometimes I would get a response within a day, other times would take a week. Just not consistent. And at $140 a whack per fertilization treatment I expected my lawn to look nice. The parts that were not covered with sedge or dollar spot didn’t look so great, not exactly thick or as green as some neighbors and still had some clover and crabgrass in some areas - and I followed their watering suggestion. The $140 a whack didn’t include the two dollar spot treatments and 2-3 nut sedge treatments. So for over $1500 for the year and the spotty response time I felt it wasn’t worth it.

SavaTree did a great job. Ben first came and clearly explained everything to us and made some recommendations. Then the crew came on time as scheduled and did a great job. They cleaned up after themselves too. The crew was very friendly and great to work with and patiently answered all my questions. Our trees look great! Thank you!

It's in the early phase. Service has been prompt. All questions have been answered in a timely fashion. Anne is a wealth of knowledge, I felt very comfortable hiring this company because of her.

The technician explain very well about the type of insect is affecting my trees, recommended to have it treated and good fertilizer to 3 new trees that I planted.

Savatree sent out a certified arborist who evaluated the tree & recommended feeding it, pruning out dead wood and cabling the two main trunks together. The two crews, one for the feeding and one for the tree work, were very professional, courteous and were willing to take time to explain what they were doing.

Good! Debbie in the office is great. Ryan came out and explained to me what was going on with the tree and what they could do to help. I did wind up following up to make sure I got on their service schedule, which I did. They came by to do a winter moth spray, and I'll be having them back for subsequent treatments. I thought the cost was reasonable, and they're really nice people to work with.

They were on the high end of the bids I got. My experience was good based on the person was cooperative but not completely satisfied because the price was too high. The estimate was simple enough. He went out of the way to come here.

Really like them. On time, pleasant, professional..always the same tech doing our property. He notifies us that he is on site each time. Our lawn looks better than it ever has! Price seems high but we haven’t had a lot of experience but the results are worth it to us.

Very well. Good coordination the day of the tree removal

The service worked out well. It was very good. I think they were very busy and it took them a while to get out here for the stump grinding. They seemed very competent and professional. They were very easy to work with.

When the provider did not call about the plant health care program for 2016, we called them and left messages four times. No one to this date has returned our calls. Our newer trees have been decimated by spring worms because of the lack of care. Last year they did an outstanding job for us, but this year we seem have been eliminated from their list.

The were prompt (called me to let me know that there would be a slight delay due to unforseen circumstances) and worked diligently and quickly, as a fluid team. It was a tight situation and they conquered it all, including interfacing with a neighbor, to assure them all was fine. They were not able to get down as close to the ground as I thought we were going to, but I will deal with that myself. All in all a good experience. They left everything (including my neighbors driveway) all cleaned up.

I have used Sav-A-Tree for the past 8 years to maintain the sole tree in my Somerville backyard. They prune the tree every two years, and feed in the alternate years. They are professional, courteous, and wonderful people to work with.

I thought they did a good job we had a deal $580.00 for $800.00 worth of work as I recall as it turned out about a month or so later there was a pretty severe storm that ripped of a very large limb of the tree and landed in the yard next door almost hitting their dog.

Everything was really well with what they did. The workers were excellent. They were prompt with their work. I would use them again.

The service was fine. They had a little incident with the height of their truck and my phone lines, but they took care of that. Their truck was a little higher than my phone line, but that has nothing to do with their truck. It has to do with where they set the phone line. It kind of took out my phone line essentially. They came out a few weeks later after I purchased the Big Deal. It was a matter of setting it up and scheduling it. They charged me more than the $199 Big Deal charge because I actually asked them to do more than what was covered under the Deal. The person who was coordinating the whole thing was very professional and they completed the work with minimum intrusion into my lawn. They seemed to know what they were doing. I thought they were a pretty good outfit. I have called them back on some other things, but I have not done anything about them yet.

Everything went really well, and we'd highly recommend their services. They respond quickly by phone and email, they do quality work, and they're always straightforward in their recommendations. In fact, we continue to use the company to this day since our experiences have been so good.

I have used them a couple of times and they always do a good job.

The service went okay. The technicians did a good job and were cooperative. I had them trim up the trees. I did have to make sure they were trimming the trees to my satisfaction. I also had to call back several times to make sure they applied the coupon to the service. I had no problem scheduling the deal. I also requested an estimate to remove a tree but did not follow through on that because the pricing was too high.

The Save A Tree personnel did an excellent job. They arrived on time, did the work requested and cleaned up when they finished. I was very satisfied and would recommend them.
