Very responsive front office and on-site team. Provided accurate estimate. Team was careful. One tree was well-trimmed and will keep us safe for a number of years. The branches on one tree could have been cut back further, as there are still some that are hanging over the house and are intertwining with each other. Good job overall.

The experience was generally positive. The only problem I had was with the offer itself. The offer was for $300 of service for $140. The problem is that the company will not come to your home and do anything for less than $400. You don't find this out until the rep comes to give you an estimate. So what's the sense of saying $140 for $300 of service if you don't do anything for less than $400? It was explained to me that if I had $500 of service I would receive $160 off the first $300. REALLY?!? This clearly meets my definition of flim flam. Since I needed the work done I bit for the extra $100. I wouldn't assume the estimator or the workmen designed the $300 of service for $140 offer. However if Angie's List participated in this little bait and switch I would be disappointed. I do not like the fact that I am going to have to be studying your offers to see if I can spot the scam. I mean really, what's the point of offering $300 of service for $140 if you don't do anything for $300. OH $160 off the FIRST $300 of service that is $400 or more. Say that again!

They came out soon after I bought the Deal. They were efficient, friendly and competent.

Mark and Chris were excellent. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to our concerns. They hand trimmed the trees, like an artist! They cleaned up all their clippings and tree branches and mulched them in their truck. In early September, Ben, the Sav a Tree estimator came out to see what we needed done. He was also very professional and informative. The only glitch we ran into was that the work was performed somewhat later than we anticipated. In the end, the timing was fine and Ben was great. The telephone contact in the office was also great. Though I don't remember her name (sorry), she was professional and made sure we were kept updated with what the time and dates would likely be. An excellent job was done. We now rent our property but we just went buy after the second summer following the repair. Everything is in great shape.

the person who came to look at the work was punctual. I would not have used them had I not already paid in advance - I won't do a pay-in-advance thing again because I was stuck using them.

We were extremely pleased with their work. They were prompt, worked efficiently and cleaned up all the debris. We would highly recommend their services.

They were careful not to do any additional damage to my other plants and gardens. They helped me move them to pots and move them out of the way. Thy cleaned up when they were done. It turned out really well. They did a great job. The cost was precisely what we expected it to be. They came when they were supposed to as well. Since then they sent a helpful newsletter giving advice on how to care for different trees and plants.

Their service turned out just fine. They noticed another limb outside of what I had noticed that could have fallen on my house. They negotiated to take that limb down as well.

No problem. I was at work when job was done. Everything went as planned.

I had a special offer from Angie's list and I had asked for additional services. When they came out they recognized my place was small. They didn't overcharge me in that they not only kept to what the rate was in the special offer, but they gave me additional services which I appreciated.

Overall, I have been extremely pleased with the SavATree/Lawn folks. Their annual lawn care program has helped eliminate a recent problem we were having with Red Thread and earlier Grubs. Their preventative program for our trees helped prolong the life of a beautiful apple tree that had caught fire blight and we used them in emergency situations after several big storms last summer brought down some limbs on our property. While they are not the cheapest option out there, they are always extremely punctual and professional. Plan to continue using them for years to come...

Save-A-Tree is a company with a lot of offices. I have a house in Beverly and they take care of the trees there. They did specific work for me and they did it quite well. It was not continuous work. But they are rather expensive. They quoted for cutting of some trees that had fallen down and I got it done by somebody else for quite a bit of less money. They are rather expensive on tree removal but they have done good things for me on pruning and they have given me good advice on tree fertilization and tree blights. I was very happy with them. I had several jobs done by them. It would have been better if they were not so expensive. I will use them in the future.

We had several things taken care of with various trees on our propery. Trees were damaged in Tropical Storm Irene. We wanted these taken care of, as well as pruning of all trees to prevent future damage. There were large branches that fell on our house (watch for a report on roof repairs in upcoming weeks). J agged remains of these branches were still attached to the huge maple trees in our back yard. The plan was to remove one branch, and cable together two other large branches to provide stablilty in the future. They didn't do this work on the day they came out because the weather was uncooperative (it was pouring), but will return to complete the job. Severa branches from our next door neighbor's house were overhanging in our yard (one had already come down and was hanging on the fence. These were removed, cut into 16" lengths, and left stacked in the yard for us to add to the woodpile that is seasoning for next year. In the front yard we had two river birch trees that were planted several years ago. They have been growing at a very rapid rate and I'm sorry to say we had neglected them. They were growing in all directions with branches hanging into the garden. The trees were pruned, neateded up; they now look beautiful. The last thing was the foundation plantings. There are about 6 or 7 yews. which I am not a fan of. I particularly don't like the manicured look popular in our neighborhood. My solution was to completely ignore them for 3 years. Needless to say, far from looking manicured they are completely out of control, scraggly, and are now burying partsof the garden. The arborist spent a lot of time discussing this with me beforehand, They took time to prune them in a more natural-looking way, and I am bery happy with how it came out. I have used this company before, and plan on using them in the future when needed.

We had a coupon through Angies Deals for 300 toward their service. The experience began with the nicest guy who came out to appraise what needed to be done on our trees, which had been neglected for about 10 years since we lost track of our other tree guy. He was terrific, knowledgeable, and did a great job of balancing price, value, and what would work for us. The crew came on time and worked very efficiently. Clean up was superb. Really couldn't ask for more. I am not sure I am reporting the right price because it was some time ago, but we definitely got our money's worth and were satisfied that these folks knew what they were doing for our old trees. Would use again in a heartbeat.

I met with Alton Cole in late March for advice and an estimate for removal of one tree, repair of storm damage to another and maintenance pruning of 2 more trees. His advice, comments and estimate were very helpful and we agreed that the work would be done as soon as protective sleeves were placed on electrical wires. That took about 6 weeks of wrangling with the power company. Within one week of final sleeve placement, SavATree called with a date to do the work. They arrived as scheduled, did a thorough and professional job, cleaned up.... and were very considerate of us and the neighbors. Great experience...A+ job!

I tool advantage of "The Big Deal". Although they were responsive and seemed professional, their quote was 3X the price of competitor. I live in the North Shore and use Valley Tree Service for 12 years. $785 (vs $2,300 from SavATree) for exactly the same service. I highly recommend getting competitive quotes when dealing with this company.

My first contact was Mark Gagnon, who was very patient with me as I put off this work several times due to scheduling problems on my end. When the day finally came, Paul & Dan showed up on time. Both of them were knowledgeable and had the right equipment and training to safely climb up several stories high in these big trees to do the work. They were concerned about making correctly placed cuts for the health of the trees, and they took care to drop the pruned wood in open areas and not on the vegetable garden or the perennials. When they were done pruning, they cleaned everything up after themselves. The trees look great, the work was outstanding from the point of view of tree health, and we felt the price was quite reasonable for the skill, equipment, and time involved. In addition, Mark called me back the next day just to check and make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We are 100% pleased with the work. I would hire these guys again in a minute!

The Arborist providing the estimate was punctual, very professional and appeared to know her business well. The tree work crew were excellent and made sure we agreed on the scope of the work and that I was happy with the work when finished. The Arborist followed up the job with a call to insure all was well.

We didn't go with them. The price was rather high for what we wanted done. We considered their services but we found a better price. They were very professional about the estimate.

The experience was very good with a friendly knowledgeable sales representative - price quoted was much too high though.

It took them two days to do this and they did an excellent job. They were incredibly responsive; when I called they came out and gave an estimate that day. They modified their stump grinding machine in order to get it into our fenced backyard like they promised. They just did a really outstanding job getting everything done that they promised us.
