Great, they not only cleaned but made small repairs that I did not know I needed, and at now extra cost. They are always professional and friendly.

They gave me really nice customer service. I liked that it felt like it was a family business. Everyone was very friendly, no one was pushy. They were very pleasant and very knowledgeable.

They do residential and commercial cleaning. They seemed like great quality and I really liked Dave when he came out to give me the estimate. They were very professional and they knew what they were doing. They were very skilled in doing what I needed them to do.

We bought a new house and several rugs had been left by the prior owners. We had a number of rugs cleaned. Dave picked them up, stored them and returned them to us after the painters finished. It was terrific! He also was helpful in telling us about the quality of the rugs and which he would replace over time. I will use him for all my rug needs.

They were great. They were very personable and professional. They carried the rug out to my car. The job that they did was excellent. We have three children and a dog, so the rug needed to be cleaned. They were very generous with their discount, too. They were always on time.

The two man crew arrived on time. David, the owner had called to let me know they were on the way. The crew placed a tarp on my hardwood floor to protect it before bringing in any equipment. The job was completed within the estimated time. They were very professional and I would recommend them and use them again.

The company did an amazing job. The rugs were quite dirty and the edges were a bit frayed. David, the owner, not only cleaned the rugs really well but fixed the corners all for the same price. He showed when he said he would, and brought them back when he said he would. He clearly knows his business.

They did an excellent job cleaning the rugs. I was impressed with how thoroughly the spots were removed while still being gentle on the hand made rugs. They picked up and dropped off exactly when they said they would. The were very detail oriented in laying the rugs precisely in the room when they brought them back. Excellent experience overall.

We have off-white carpeting on our stairs and top (bedroom) floor, and it was starting to look dirty. We had detergent stains near the washer/dryer closet. I called and received a quote for $300, $270 with the Angie's List discount. We scheduled the work about 10 days later. The two workers arrived about 15 minutes late, but set to work immediately. They were extremely thorough and courteous. The job seemed bigger than they anticipated, but they stuck by their estimate. The detergent stains were completely removed. I appreciated how they told me why detergent stains are so difficult to clean up (because the detergent never completely dries, it keeps attracting dirt, making the stain look worse and worse) and recommended a solution (placing some kind of mat in front of the washer). They finished the work in about 2.5 hours, which seemed appropriate. I would definitely use them again. Given the light color of our carpets, I'll probably have to call them again next year!

I had a fine experience with Melrose Oriental Rugs of Melrose, Mass. when I had a 10x14 rug cleaned. They did a nice job and held the rug until I finished painting the room (@ month), which I really appreciated. It smelled great and looks beautiful. Service was quick and pleasant. I will most definitely call them when I have my other rugs cleaned.

We have three dogs and although we vacuum on a regular basis, the fur gets ingrained in the carpets and furniture. The folks from Melrose Oriental Rug service are very knowledgeable about oriental carpets and I learned quite a bit about the ones I inherited. Addditionaly, they were easy to schedule, were on time for the carpet pick up and on time with the delivery of the cleaned carpets. They also did a wonderful job steam cleaning our sofa. Carpets and sofa look terrific.I highly recommend them!

First, the rugs look absolutely beautiful. A very dirty fringe on a rug used in the kitchen was returned totally white. The colors on all rugs look vibrant. A damaged fringe on the large rug was repaired beautifully, as was the area that was damaged and falling apart. Dave (the owner) also provided me with a new rug pad for the runner. Dave and his two helpers were extremely careful in moving furniture and took a lot of time to position the rugs to my satisfaction and to replace the furniture. Dave remembered an area that was getting worn from a lot of traffic and was careful to reverse the rug when it was returned. They were prompt, very polite, and pleasant, the kind of people one wishes one was able to deal with all the time. I thought that the cost of the services was very fair. I have no complaints whatsoever.

Overall and excellent experience. It is a family owned business not only do they do repairs and cleaning, they have some beautiful rugs for sale as well.

The service was terrific. They carefully moved any furniture to get to the rugs, and rolled up the rug pads for me. We asked them to hold the rugs until we were done with interior painting, which they kindly did. I called and set a date for delivery when we were ready for them, and they arrived exactly when they were scheduled to. They made sure the rugs were positioned as we wanted them, and again moved furniture as needed. And the rugs look terrific. They recommended replacing one of the rug pads which had become slippery, and provided one cut exactly to size for it. They also recommended adjusting the size of another rug pad, and cut off the excess at no extra charge. We would definitely use them again.

The quality of work was A+. They gave me great customer service. My rugs look like new. They gave me an Angie's List discount. They were very accomodating in picking up and dropping of the rugs. I would definitley use them again.

This was no steam clean operation out of a truck. They thoroughly shampooed, scrubbed, rinsed and sucked out the moisture and dirt. The rug looked new and was done in a couple of hours. I would highly recommend Melrose Oriental.

Melrose Oriental rug got a VERY dirty area rug very clean at a reasonable price. We were very pleased how they were able to make the rug look almost like new.

David (the owner) gave me a fair estimate over the phone and didn't hesitate to apply his 10% Angie's List discount when I mentioned that that's how I found out about his business. The rug was cleaned very well (especially given that many parts stained with red wine were ivory-colored and thus difficult to get clean). It was also ready two days earlier than promised. The new rugs pads (for the cleaned rug as well as another smaller one) are very good quality.

I had visited Melrose Rug's warehouse sale on a Saturday, but they didn't have round rugs available. David offerred to come to my house the next day (Sunday) to see what I needed. He came, looked, and suggested I call for an appt. later in the week. I met with him at the main store a few days later and he had ready, a few round rugs that he had selected based on my color needs. He gave me 3 6 foot round rugs to take home and "try out" without even a deposit. At my leisure, I rolled out one rug after the other and took a while to get used to each in my kitchen. I had two that I couldn't decide over, called him back and he came to my house a second time to look things over. We both decided that one over the other would be best. David took all 3 back to have a pad cut for the one I had selected. All I had to do was show up when they were ready and take them home. When I went to pay, I decided to get a small rug to go in front of the deck door that would coordinate with the table rug--he found one, and I bought two more of same size to coordinate with my living room rug that I could use at entry doors. He found two that matched , and they do coordinate well with my lving room. That total entered is for all 4 rugs, 2 large sized pads and 3 small pads. And he gave me the original warehouse discount. What service! I am very pleased that I chose Melrose Rug for my needs.

They are efficient, reliable, and prompt. It's a tough job and they are hard-working people.

Melrose Oriental Rug's owner came out and gave me an estimate. He was good to explain everything to me about the product, the process that they would be using, and the prices.

Our ivory-colored rug had been soiled over half its area by years of foot traffic. A previous Chem-Dry treatment failed to clean it. After several iterations spanning two weeks, Melrose Rug succeeded in restoring its original color. Additionally, the owner kindly furnished without charge an appraisal of another rug, and stayed late when we were delayed by traffic.

They will give you a 20% discount if you take in and pick up your rug. I have used them a couple times and always happy with their service. The rug is always ready when I go to pick it up. They do a nice job.

The staff is very friendly and professional. They carefully inspected the rugs for damage and stains, and made sure we understood what they were looking for. Their time estimates have always been accurate. One time they even brought the clean rugs out to our car so I didn't have to take my baby out of his car seat - I called on my cell phone and they brought the rug out to me!
