Description of Work: Clean and repair 4 oriental rugs - two small and two large one of which required extensive repair.

Description of Work: Three rugs were cleaned (14X18, 4X10 and 14X10). All three were Sisal rugs and had numerous stains. Melrose offered 20% off for carry ins, and another 10% off for first time customers from Angies List. They told me the cost per square foot when I spoke to them over the phone, and after the rugs were measured and priced out, they discounted the price by 30% without a question. Very professional approach.

Description of Work: We called Melrose Oriental Rug after seeing moths flying around the house. David, the owner of the company, came out and checked each rug personally for signs of infestation. He showed us how to tell if moths were present and how to help prevent future infestations by rotating the carpets. He then took and cleaned all the infested carpets and repaired one that was badly damaged. He also sold us new rug pads.

Description of Work: I stopped by the shop in Melrose. David was very polite and accommodating. I was about to move and wanted all 9 of my oriental rugs cleaned before the move. David let me know that if I could drop off the rugs, I would receive a discount. I explained that one of the rugs was to big for me to handle by myself. David and his crew came to my house and examined each rug for stains and tears and pointed out what they found and gave me the opportunity to approve each special treatment. The Monday before moving day, David and crew delivered my rigs and their pads, all nicely rolledand tied for the mover's benefit.

Description of Work: brought in a rug bought cheap from a garage for cleaning. paid about 120, and cleaning cost was 213, but this was a rather large rug measured 9'-12'. The cleaning took about a week and i couln't hardly recorgnized the original rugs. The oder, stain, damages was gone, the only thing noticable was some faded coloration in small parts, but overall the rug was conpletely transformed to a gourgeous rug. Dave was a professional and a delightful gentleman to speak with. I would definitely use this service again.

Description of Work: Cleaning of three handmade Oriental rugs, two of them very good quality, and one machine made Oriental. One of the good rugs had a frayed edge which was expertly repaired. Also supplied rug pads for all four rugs.

Description of Work: I first met Dave Mouradian, owner of Melrose Oriental Rug, through Angie's List as a reputable company that would be able to pick up and clean two existing oriental rugs. I immediately realized that Dave and his company were a cut above when he was willing to drop everything and come to our home on a Monday holiday to do the pick-up. My next interaction occurred after realizing that Melrose Oriental also sold oriental rugs. We were in the process of moving and Dave offered to visit the new place to see the space for himself that would house the new rug. That he was willing to make that visit was incredible but the service did not stop there. When he learned that we had ordered a new leather couch, he went to the furniture store, arranged to borrow a sample of the leather to have the color, took the sample with him to New York and chose five rugs to show us. We arrived in his shop to see that he had several beautiful rugs just for us, any one of which would have been perfect. We chose and bought one and arranged to have it and the now beautifully cleaned original two orientals delivered to our new place. He arrived with a couple of employees and within a few minutes, they had very carefully and precisely installed all three rugs. Earlier, I had mentioned that there might be one more room where I might need a rug. After the installation, he asked to see that extra room. When I showed it to him, he told me that based on my description of the use of the room, he had thrown a small oriental in the truck just in case I wanted to see it. It was perfect but he didn't let us buy it on the spot. He advised us to wait to see what we thought after the furniture for that room had arrived. We have since bought this rug as well.
