This is my second time working with Stephen, and he is prompt, fast and reliable. It has been hard for me to find a reliable gutter cleaning service in my area, and I was happy when I finally found Stephen. He is not the cheapest, but his prices were entirely fair and I was happy to pay for the service and professionalism he has shown. Recently I asked him to come back and replace some 2-1/2" Soffit vents along the back of the house, which he did with no hesitation even though there was 8 inches of snow on the ground. Highly recommended.

The experience was good. He was very knowledgeable. It was a little tricky getting hold of him and setting it up. It took him a while to show up because of the bad weather. It wasn't really his fault but I would have appreciated him calling and letting me know. He did a good job and I would totally work with him again. The gutter cleaning was $250.

It went well. However, a small job, a gutter leak repair, was not done well -- gutter still leaks. But not enough to complain about.

We were headed out of town, & desperate to have it fixed before we left. Stephen Frederick was amazing: he responded swiftly to our call, made time in his extremely booked schedule to come over, & replaced the downspout on the spot. His fee was totally reasonable. We highly recommend him!

I've been going to Mr Frederick for gutter services for several years. Found him on Angie's List. He is very popular and busy; I had left a message on his answering machine sometime late in September; got a call-back a few days later, and was advised that when all leaves were off trees near my house to call back and my name would be added to the list. End of October or early November, I called and left message that trees were bare and to please add my name to list. Mid-January 2014, Mr Frederick and his crew arrived, put up their ladders and cleaned the gutters in record time. (He now has a two-person crew; previously, Mr Frederick and an assistant did the work, so it took longer.) In the past, Mr. Frederick usually wrote the bill on the spot. But today, he said he would send bill, so I don't know exact cost of service. Will provide update when I get the bill. However, in the past, charges have been fair and reasonable, so I'm assuming that will again be the case. While he was here, I asked about a downspout that was missing a run-off elbow at the bottom. He said he'd try to fit me into the schedule to save having to charge me $90 for a service call. Mr. Frederick is a rare treasure of a service provider. He's experienced, efficient, knowledgeable, and does the job well. It is worth waiting for his services. However, I am confident that if I had an emergency problem, he would arrange to come as soon as possible to check it out (e.g., it would be a service call rather than the standard seasonal gutter service.)

The rafter sisters were rotting out and needed replacement and reattachment to the fascia boards and then gutters. Stephen came when scheduled to provide a quote, and patiently worked out a contract. He provided two quotes: the second was higher in the event that he needed to replace the existing gutter with new gutters, but in the end, he didn't need to. I appreciated that. I had to wait a few weeks to fit into his schedule, but he gave me a heads-up one day before he arrived and completed the work in one day (less than a day, actually). This was an easy transaction and Stephen will be my go-to gutter professional in the future.

Called for an estimate and was told it would take almost a month for him to come over ... Being in no hurry I said that was fine ... Came as expected to give the estimate, but came without a ladder ... Said he would come later that day or the next to take a better look ... 4 days went without him coming ... Called to check on status and was told he would come the next day to look ... Came and looked ... An estimate was given ... Called to schedule to have the work done ... Left message ... Over a week later, without answering message, he called and said he was on the way to do the work ... Worked until just after noon, fastening the gutter and installing flashing under drip edge into gutter ... Left at that time ... At that time, one of the drainpipes was not attached to the gutter ... I later attached the drainpipe to the gutter... A couple of weeks later, I noticed he had returned and replaced the elbow of the drainpipe and reattached to the gutter ... Short summary: Although he performed the work at a reasonable price, I never knew if and when the work would be completed ...

Stephen is very knowledgeable about gutters - he fully explained the work necessary and also helped us pinpoint where leaks where coming from. He gave us estimates which were accurate and he completed the work quickly and efficiently. We had several torrential downpours since the repairs were done and our gutter leaks are gone and the downspouts have performed perfectly. We will reach out to Stephen again if/when we need more work done in the future.

This was THE only honest person to come to my house...one guy gave me an estimate of almost $8000 for all new gutters although it was apparent to the most casual observer that new gutters were not needed...on second estimate, I told the guy I do NOT need all new gutters...came in with a $3000plus estimate. Frederick is the ONLY person who bothered to get up on a ladder and check things out. His take on it all: "you just need this 4-5 foot sectionpushed back into place and I'll nail it up...could be a problem but I don't think so...you just need new "elbows" not whole new downspout system (and then he proceeeded to show me that elbow was split but nothing wrong with rest of the gutter) He said he could not do it for a month or so ...I was worried about "could be a problem" statement (especially given other 2 con artists) but low and behold, I came home from work one day - about one month later---and everything was fixed and bill was as quoted. Rain storm few days later and everything worked perfectly. ADVICE: Angie's list or not GET 3 ESTIMATES and listen very carefully to what people are trying to sell you as opposed to fixing something !

Very capable. Stephen estimates the job thoroughly. He provided different options to address certain concerns - options to save money where possible and areas where add'l attention was needed. Thorough and competent. Quick and speedy.

Originally came to assess the condition of copper lined gutters. Got up on the ladder, checked them all out and ended up recommending a repair to be handled by a copper solder specialist. He's a straight shooter. Good price for the cleaning itself, came when he said he would.

Great experience was on time and professional. Fixed gutters quickly and there was no mess left behind. Would absolutely hire again.

He did great work at a great price. Summer is of course a busy season for him, so some delay is upderstandable. He was a bit hard to get a hold of, but after I called a few times over a few weeks (after he'd come over to do an estimate), he called to say he could come that same day.

He told me what needed to be done. He was very honest and was not trying to sell me anything. He came he did and he left. He was up front with his limitations. He Fixed some leaks which went into the basement. At the time it took a while.

Prompt response. Prompt in making the appointment and producing the estimate. Make sure everything you discuss is on paper because there was one part of the job we discussed but he didn't include it and so didn't do it. That was at least half my fault, so no deduction on my rating. He kept me completely apprised of when he could do the work, and did it when he said he would. The gutters are no longer overflowing during heavy rains.

Stephen was an absolute pleasure to work with. Fair, honest, hard-working, very experienced, professional to the core.

Based on the good reviews on Angie's list I called to schedule a gutter cleaning. I was told that the free estimates were now being scheduled out a month! As far as I am concerned, that is ridiculous. Gutter cleaning is not like a doctor's appointment! If you have that much business, hire more people. This level of disregard for the needs of consumers at the first moment of contact indicates to me that this provider is completely out of touch. I would never use or recommend this firm for any work.
