Stephen Frederick

Stephen is very responsive. He is very professional, and easy to talk to. He communicates very well with respect to the issues that he sees and how he proposes to fix them. He performed the work himself with an assistant. Knows his stuff. I'd definitely use him again.

Stephen came in with a very economical estimate. When we left a message for him telling him we wanted to schedule the job, we never heard back. A few weeks later, we got a message from Stephen's office saying he was coming the next day. It was no problem, just a surprise. He got the work done in a day and invoiced us for the exact amount originally estimated. The work seemed like it had been done well, but we have had some leaks and drainage issues since. This is likely due in part to other issues we never asked Stephen to address, but still, I wish he could have informed us that we needed to do x, y and z, not just x and y, to solve our drainage problems.

Steve came out and replaced some gutters, cleaned them, and cleaned the down spouts and replaced some facial boards. He came out when he said he would. He cleaned up after himself and I had a job well done.

Stephen did a great job. He identified a squirrel problem under the attic floor and coordinated his work with the pest control company's work. He was pleasant to work with. After he went out to scope out the job in order to put an estimate together, I appreciated that he took quite a bit of time to thoroughly explain everything to me and advise me on what needed to be repaired. I would highly recommend him and I have already asked him to do some work for me at my other property.

Contacted Steve and a estimate was done in 2 days. The area was repaired when it was safe to get back on the roof.

Wow. This guy was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, professional, and gave a very reasonable estimate for the work required. I have no doubt that he will do an outstanding job when he comes to do the work. I wish all contractors were like this.

He always does a good job. He called back when he said he would. He came over before the snow hit. He looked at the project and gave and estimate. He is very prompt and efficient. The estimate is the price you pay. He is friendly and courteous.

It went very well - he answered my call right away, came out to give us a quote and did the work. He seems quite good at all external house work, though he doesn't paint. But overall, he did a great job, the gutters look and work great.

I particularly liked the way he talked about the work that needed to be done. He is very smart and gets clear what needs to happen and you get a feeling of solidity about the man and the work.

Stephen clearly knows siding and gutters, with many years of experience in the trade. He offered advice not only on the requested installation, but other aspects of my siding and gutter system. He was comfortable taking time to explain the installation process and siding system over the phone. He performed a few other small odds and ends around the downspouts at no extra charge, and investigated possible causes of a recent attic leak. Would contact Stephen again and recommend him to others.

Stephen replaced a rotted sill in an upstairs window that was regularly hit with rain, rebalanced and aligned a ton of gutters that weren't carrying water away from the house, and fixed a gutter problem introduced by the lord of the manor. :)

When I called him he got back to me right away. He came out the next day and gave me an estimate. He finished about when he said he would. Overall it was very good work and a good experience. I would hire him again if I needed more work.

We would recommend him. He was excellent. He was reliable and he cleaned up well afterward. He was very responsible. He did a good job. He seemed to take pride in his work. He was also reasonable as far as price goes.

I had two other contractors give me quotes, and each wanted $800 to replace all of my downspouts. I was relieved when Mr. Frederick came out and told me that most were in decent shape; I only needed to replace 3. My only small gripes are that he didn't replace one of the downspouts (there might have been a miscommunication), and that he came out to do the work without making an appointment, but the work was done well, and cheap, which is the most important thing.

He came out and did an estimate for free and charged a reasonable amount. He was professional and showed up on time. He was earnest. I would highly recommend him and use him again in the future.

The prior owner had added a small awning to the front porch and a back deck; they had also removed a 3-seasons room off of the kitchen. The result was the awning in the front had a flat roof and no gutter, so rain water and melted snow would pile up and then cascade down the front. Several of the downspouts ended 6 feet above the ground; two of them dumped directly on the back deck. There was no gutter at all where the 3-seasons room used to be. In short, potential for lots of water damage, and very dangerous conditions in the winter due to ice build up. Stephen returned my call promptly, came out and took a look, and then returned a few days later with a scope of work and fee proposal. We walked the property again, made minor modifications to the scope to clarify exactly where I wanted the water to drain, and then signed a short-form contract. Stephen and his crew got to work a week later and, in two days, the work was done. It looks great, feels solid, and did exactly what I wanted. I would definitely recommend him. No fuss, no muss, no extra costs.

Very well; Steve met with me for evaluation and estimate. Completed the work on schedule within two weeks for the estimated price. There have been no problems with the work during several rainstorms since then.

Steve showed up promptly after I called, inspected the gutter, called me and told me what needed to be done, and completed the job on the spot. He explained the situation well, and left a note with even more information. I was prepared for a much more substantial repair, but Steve solved the problem for much less than I had feared.

Stephen came the day after I called and gave an estimate. He did the work a week later. He did exactly what he said he would do and charged me exactly what he said he would charge. The work looks great and the gutters for the first time since I've had the house worked as they should after a rain storm. I am very very pleased. I wished all contractors I've hired were as efficient and thorough.

Overall, very satisfied. I would definitely hire him again.

He worked efficiently and carefully and did an excellent job. He made suggestions for cost savings, and diagnosed a few issues with gutters and roofing.

His service was excellent and timely. He was friendly and polite. I would use him again in the future. I also think that he gave me a reasonable price for the work that he did.

For me, this was a very pleasant experience with a contractor. I was able to get an estimate and have the work done within three weeks (even though both Mr. Frederick and I took separate weeks off). This was because he and his assistant were very prompt and responsible in answering phone calls, handling the estimate, and coordinating the logistics of the work. I highly recommend him for his prompt and professional service.
