Stephen Frederick

On Mr. Frederick's first visit to our house, he and I agreed on the work to be done. When he returned later to do the work, he did exactly what we had agreed upon. He did the work carefully; I'm sure that the gutters will stay affixed to the side of the house and the the different sections to each other for a long time. He riveted the straps to the gutter and nailed their ends to the shingled siding of the house; or, if working below the siding at the level of the cellar, he screwed the strap ends to cellar masonry. Unfortunately, I can't recall just how he screwed them: I think by drilling a hole and then cementing the screw into the hole. When attaching sections of gutter to each other, he again used rivets. No pressure fits or use of wire. Very professional. He charged the price that we had agreed on, which was a reasonable amount.

I liked that Stephen gave an estimate before he started, and met the estimate. We asked for advice on repair or replacement and he advised us to try repairs first. This worked and saved us hundreds of dollars.

It was a good experience. My initial phone call to schedule an estimate for gutter cleaning was returned promptly. Stephen came within 2 weeks of the initial call to do the estimate and returned to do the cleaning after the remainder of the leaves fell. I had also asked him to check out a gutter that had been malfunctioning which he repaired..

Stephen has done several jobs for me and they have all been well done for a very reasonable price. Stephen fixed several problems with the way gutters were originally installed as well as performing routine maintenance. I highly recommend him.

The gutters had not been cleaned in years and were very full. I was not aware of a squirrel problem and Stephen took care of everything, He was very professional and explained all work needed. I had difficulty finding someone to reinstall the siding panels and was so grateful to finally have that done. When I have new siding installed I will definately hire Stephen.

Last spring Steve gave me an estimate for the coachhouse gutter repitching and cleaning, after thoroughly scoping out the problem and explaining the details to me. I wasn't able to have the work done until the fall. Steve came out again and gave me the same price. He did the work himself with one assistant. It's a tall 2 story house with trees surrounding it, so it's a huge job to clean the gutters. It hasn't rained yet, but the pitch on the coachhouse definitely looks better. Steve gives his guarantee, which I trust. While cleaning the main house gutters, he found some pitch problems and discovered that someone had attached one gutter with short screws. He put some longer screws in and gave me an estimate for the additional repair work. He said it wasn't pressing, since the gutters are clean. I will definitely call him this spring to do the work and a spring cleaning. I love the way Steve understands gutters well and explains things thoroughly. He's very friendly, polite, and prfessional. It's a pleasure to work with him. I'll definitely use him again for repairs and maintenance cleaning.

Stephen came to our house and gave us a very reasonable estimate to replace our old wooden gutters with new aluminum ones. Once he began the project, it took about a week to complete. He was very hard-working, knowledgeable, and conscientious. He tested the new gutters and downspouts, dug out old, existing drains, and cleaned up thoroughly each day. He offered advice on keeping drains clear. During the course of his work, a squirrel got inside a wall and became sealed in. He worked with the animal-removal service to get it out and re-seal the wall. He happened to finish replacing the gutters on most of the house just before it began to rain, so we saw right away that the new gutters, downspouts, and newly-dug out drains worked perfectly. We highly recommend Stephen.

The estimate was detailed and understandable; the work itself was performed efficiently and expeditiously with a minimum of mess. Nothing was left lying about at the end of the day. The job was completed when he said it would be completed.

I had a couple holes in my vinyl siding, and some extra pieces of siding in my basement. I called Stephen for an estimate, and he was happy to use the material I already had. I thought it would be a big, complicated job, but he gave me a very reasonable estimate. So then I asked him about some discolored siding at the back of my house, and he pointed out that the gutter above it was not draining properly, which might be the cause. So he replaced the gutter as well. The whole job was handled efficiently, for a very reasonable price.

He did and excellent job. He was very prompt and pleasant. He did a nice job in getting out the estimate and proposal. Everything administrative was done very well. He came out with one other man and they did a nice job.

He was booked for a few weeks but took the time to solve our immediate problem which was causing water in the basement. Had alot of good feedback on work of previous installer, seems to have a very good sense of craftsmanship which the previous installer was lacking. An honest straightforward guy.

Stephen was great. I brought out several people for quotes, and while his was the lowest he was the only contractor to get up on a ladder and inspect the gutters and tell me what needed to be done. He replaced several downspouts for free after noticing that they weren't in good shape.

The work was completed promptly and appears to have addressed the foundation issue as well.

He responded to my telephone call very promptly and gave me an appointment. He reviewed the work and gave me an estimate with in few days. He went up the roof looking for the leak in the gutter and found that there was something which had come off. He replaced that also though it was not part of his work. He stayed back and finished the work. He took time to answer my questions and gave me a lot of information. I chose him through Angies list. He also gave me contact for few other things I had to done. He was very helpful. I am very comfortable with the price because of the quality of service he gave me.

Stephen (and Alex) replaced our wood gutters with new aluminum gutters. The new gutters are beautiful, they really make the house look much better than before. It was a 3 1/2 day job and Stephen was excellent in every way. He arrived every day on time, put in a full days work, provided status updates and cleaned up at the end of every day. From speaking to him, I could tell that he really knew what he was talking about and that he had a lot of experience. There were no surprises when the job was done which usually only happens when the person doing the job really knows what they're doing. I got 3 other estimates (from roofing companies) to replace the gutters, and all 3 wanted to replace all of the fascia boards around the house. Stephen only wanted to replace what needed to be replaced, and that turned out to be only a small amount, so cost of the job was considerably less that the roofer's estimates.

Steve was great. He's personable, friendly, knowledgeable about his trade, detail-oriented, and thorough. He was apologetic when the job turned out to be a bit more complicated than he first estimated. He came to do the work within a few days of the estimate. He cleaned up when he was done. It hasn't rained yet, but I am confident the job was done well.

Mr. Frederick scheduled a prompt estimate visit (within one week of my call). During his early morning appointment, he explained exactly what he would do and gave me a written estimate on the spot. Mr. Frederick was able to come back that afternoon to complete the repairs. There was no mess for me to clean up, all repairs were done as expected, and his bill matched his estimate.

He was professional and thorough. Our gutters are very high up and so I can not inspect the work myself, but the rain water is flowing where is should be flowing! I had the sense that he was being more thorough than others we hired in the past. He was here for a total of 2.5 days. We will hire him again.

Steve and Beth (Steve's wife) both returned my initial call. I set-up an appointment for an estimate with Steve and he came exactly when he said that he would. He got up his ladder and checked out the general condition of my gutters and gave me an estimate right on the spot. I was expecting that I'd need new gutters, etc., but Steve said that the overall condition of the existing gutter system was good and that repairs alone would do the trick. Steve gave me an approximate date (5 days from day of estimate) that he'd be able to do the work, but was able to do it sooner.

He is great. He comes when he says he will, made a neat and prompt repair and doesn't leave any mess. This is the second time I've used him and I am very satisfied.

Frederick was great. He came out and told us exactly the same thing another company had also said and he was able to do it right away. We haven't had any rain yet, but Frederick was confident that this was all we need to take care of the problem.
