Stephen Frederick

Stephen Frederick gave us an estimate and then returned a few weeks later to complete all work. The works was done well and the cost was exactly as he had quoted. We will definitely hire Stephen Frederick again.

Stephen was great to work with. He responded promptly to my call and came out to give me an estimate shortly there after. We were looking to repair our gutters. Other people that we'd had come look at the job told us the gutters couldn't be repaired and wanted to sell us all new gutters at a much higher cost. Stephen said he could repair the gutters with no problem and came out the following week to do it. His repair job was great and exactly what we were looking for. He is prompt, honest and does a great job. I highly recommend him. He will not try to upsell you on your job. We'll hire him back on any gutter job we need done.

He did a good job matching the two types of gutters. He came out quickly and did the work for a good price. He is also very knowledgeable.

Through Angie's list, I contacted Stephen in early November and left a message on his machine. Within a day I was notified that he would be coming around to do an estimate. Within a week I had a written estimate and we decided to go forward. When I called to confirm, I was told that it would be about 4 weeks until the work could be done. This was acceptable, as there was no immediate problems with the house. Since we are not always available, I asked that we get a call before the work was started to give us a heads up. They showed up on a day without a call first, but luckily my wife was home with our child, and things went fine. The team arrived early in the morning while I was at work. They started around 8 and were done by early afternoon. My wife noted that they were very kind and worked without incident. When I returned from work later in the evening, I was pleased to see the house was back to looking normal. I would definitely use them again.

Stephen had fixed up our gutters in the spring and we called him back to clean them for the winter. He did a good job and we would continue to use him again.

I was concerned that I needed my gutters repaired and gutter guards installed. However he confirmed other information I had received, from other honest trades people contacted via Angies List, that the gutters were fine. He also confirmed the pros and cons I had heard about gutter guards and in the end decided not to get gutter guards and just cleaned the gutters.

He performed the work as estimated. He came and went without fuss. I later asked him to return to repair some roofing in the back under a deck that was leaking into a porch below. This work was also done on time and for the amount specified. I would not hesitate to recommend him to friends.

I had a little trouble with communication with setting up an appointment, but once they came out, it was worth it. I plan on using them again.

Steve was friendly, professional, and performed the promised work for the agreed upon price. He had to come back to re-do the seal job on the gutters, but did this at no additional cost.

Stephen is great. He comes when he says he'll come, does a great job and is honest about what he can and cannot do. I had used other people in the past, but they were terrible. I will use him for as long as I live here.

All the repairs were completed on time and as scheduled (it took about a day or two IIRC). The clapboards had been damaged or worn, and in some cases were cracked. Where cracked, Mr. Frederick patched, and where they needed to be replaced, Mr. Frederick did so. The other repairs have proven themselves: the roof now drains properly without leakage between the house and the gutters, and the window sill is now completely dry. Given how well those repairs have worked out, I have confidence that the clapboards have been repaired completely satisfactorily. Mr. Frederick was able to identify and fix the errors made by other contractors over the years (roofer and handyman), was pleasant and polite, and an experienced and skillful professional.

Very pleased with Stephen Frederick. He is very knowledgeable, identified immediately where and why leaks were coming from along second floor gutters; pointed out missing trim piece along edge of front roof that I'd never noticed. Repairs were completed expeditiously but with care. Have had no more leaks from gutters. Will continue to use him ....next task will be to clean out gutters after all leaves have fallen.

Excellent, professional, prompt and reliable experience from start to finish. Would absolutely use again. Plan to use them for gutter cleaning this fall.

We had this done before by someone else. Steve knew what to do and what would work. We now have larger, "commercial" gutters with pull-out boxes for easy cleaning. Steve was prompt, courteous, and helpful.. He works alone or with one other person so the work takes a bit longer. It is worth it. His prices are lower than most and worth a good deal more. I definitely would use him again. And I have.

He came to our house on weekend to take a look at the job and give us an estimate. We booked over the phone, he came and did the job one day while we were at work, and he left an invoice. The gutters aren't overflowing anymore so we assume he did the job well and certainly the process was straightforward, painless, and reasonably priced. One of the easiest service experiences we've had!

Service went very well. He showed up when he said he would and did the work at a fair and reasonable price.

I've hired Stephen a few times. He is an ultimate professional and does quality work. This man knows his stuff, he's not afraid of small size projects and he genuiniely wants to help you out and fix the problem. When I called, I had to be placed on a wait list - then the cold weather came. But sure enough in the spring - I got a call to schedule the work. While he was at our home and without asking or any discussion about it -Stephen secured a shutter that was dangling by one screw.....no charge!

Overall it went well. Stephen is certainly knowledgable and seems to be an efficient contractor. The quality of the workmanship seems good. In the bill I received, Stephen also pointed out issues with my existing gutters that will need to be repaired - I wish he would have provided a cost estimate for those repairs! Scheduling Stephen's time was a little interesting. I met with him at a schedule time, we went over the work that needed to be done, and he gave me an estimate on the spot. I authorized the work on the spot, and he said he would get to it in the next few weeks. I was a little surprised that he wasn't more specific in estimating a time, but since no entry to the home was needed it was no big deal. In fact he came within a week (I believe) and performed the work in a day, so well in advance of his estimate (which worked well for me). I've been trying to contact him a few times to get the estimate for the needed repairs, and he did call me back once, but he's not that easy to get a hold of. All in all I'd go with him again (and I'm planning on it if I can get the repair estimate!).

Stephen was excellent. Fantastic communication. Showed up on time. Pricing was great.

The overall experience with them was excellent. We would use them again if we have to.
