Adail of AAB Roofing and his team did an outstanding job on my roof, including chimney tuck pointing, chimney caps, chimney sealing, skylight replacement, some siding work, and a new roof on our old Victorian home. I did extensive research on roofing and roofing companies, and AAB had the best value. They were not the least expensive overall proposal, but that is because they used ALL top of the line materials...the best ice and water shield, the best shingles, the best ridge vents. When I had other roofers rebid using the same top materials, so I had an apples to apples fair comparison, they were more expensive than AAB. Adail is a joy to work with, and a man of his word. He treats his workers very well, and they in turn do a great job for the homeowner. I give Adail and AAB my highest recommendation.

Adail is such a nice and low key guy that you can't help but like him immediately. His quote was better than the other two I had recieved but more than that was his low pressure conversation and explanation of how/when the work would be done. He was here when he said he would, cleaned up after himself and he and his fellow Brazilian workers put their head downs and work as soon as they show up and just did a great job. Nice to business with a nice guy who is fair and honest, and competent. He's already working on another neighbors house who saw his work. Highly reccomend Adail and his company.

He answered my call while on a ladder at another site. He came the next day to look at my roof. He told me exactly what he would need to do and gave me a quote right there. His written quote came only a few hours later. He is comparable in price to the other guy; he just said he'd do my shed at no cost, while the other guy didn't throw that in there.

Overall, I was very pleased with the quality of AAB's work, and it was a pleasure to work with Adail. Estimate process: We got estimates from 4 companies (and never got callbacks from 2 others). Adail was one of the few people who actually got up on the roof to do the estimate. The figure came in around the middle of the range we received, but was inclusive of all materials and was for more detail work than many of the others. Actual work: Adail and his crew arrived early, worked very long days, and finished in the timeline promised. They took care of all the permitting, arranged the dumpster, dealt very courteously with some surliness from neighbors related to the dumpster's presence, and did great quality work. Communication: Adail is professional, prompt, and courteous in his communications. Estimates were prepared and sent quickly by email. He is easy to reach by phone and email, checks in about any delays (for instance, my city has a more intense permitting process than most, so he called to advise me that this was taking longer), and he and his crew are friendly and professional. I would not hesitate to use them again for roofing or painting!

I contacted Adail and told him I was finding shingles in our yard. He came over and inspected the roof, noting the missing shingles and pointing out that the chimney flashing wasn't done properly. While he was there, I asked about the gutter which, when it overflowed, was running onto our porch stairs and asked if it could be removed or angled in the opposite direction. He said that it could be easily done. He gave me a price right there on the spot, agreed to come on the next day that wasn't in the freezing temperatures, and didn't want any money up front. He called me the day before he was coming to let me know and showed up, did the work and because I had to work, told me to check the work the next day and send him the check. He also had taken some pictures on the phone and emailed me where I could see them. He was amiable, energetic, knowledgeable and professional throughout the entire process. He even offered to give me a discount whenever we decided to have our house re-roofed, because he had reflashed the chimney and that would not have to be redone. I enjoyed working with Adail. When the time comes to redo our roof, I will definitely call him to do the work, although I may negotiate for a better price and ask for a written quote, which I did not do for this very small job.

I contacted AAB Roofing via email for an estimate to replace my roof. Adail got back to me that same day and set up an appointment for 2 days later. He arrived ontime, was very pleasant, and climbed on my roof and checked everything out. He also took pictures so that he could give an accurate quote. His quote was on the higher end of the middle quotes that I received. He uses all good materials and gave a very thorough estimate. I decided to go with another provider with a much lower estimate. Otherwise, I would have loved to have worked with Adail.

I'm giving "A" for overall experience because work was completed according to specified time line-- over a holiday no less-- and done well as far as I can tell. Heavy rain left no trace of water in former problem areas. Moacir was pleasant, seems to know what he's doing, and was always very responsive once I got hold of him. But FRS' communications suck. One reason for "C" on responsiveness: When I first called FRS, the guy (Fabio) said he was "up on a roof" and couldn't take details, which was understandable. He asked me to text him and I don't text. So I said I'd call back and leave a message. My phone message wasn't returned. Called again next day. Still no return phone call. Tried one more time 3 days later and this time got Moacir who was very responsive. Moacir was prompt to time/day we arranged for free estimate. Looked over problem (from ground, not from ladder) and suggested repairs. I got two estimates for the repair work which turned out to be very similar in scope of work suggested and cost. FRS was slightly cheaper and also they guarantee workmanship for 10 years so I went with them. Moacir also told me that FRS accepted AmEx to pay for work. Another reason for "C" on responsiveness: I was away for holiday so signed contract and returned via email (pdf) and said in email to please phone me to let me know when work would start (so that I could let others in building know about it) and so that I could give AmEx number to pay for first 33% of work on beginning, per contract. Got no word back and assumed that holiday (Christmas week) would delay start of work. THEN I saw late on Fri 12/30 an email of 12/29 from someone in my building asking about "roofers outside the window." Phoned FRS immediately and left message asking what was going on. Moacir called right back saying Yes the work had started the day before and was almost finished but not quite because they had to get the right length of trim. Said job would be completed by 1/2/12. He said his computer (email) was still acting up and that was why I hadn't received email msg saying when work would start. I appreciated Moacir's calling back so promptly since it was about 8:30 PM on a Friday. Would have appreciated more a phone call ahead of time as I requested. I reviewed work with Moacir and his workman on 1/2/12 before they completed it. Up close on ladder, I noticed a couple of things that needed re-doing or doing properly (gap in trim, flashing showing gaps where not stuck down properly). Moacir agreed and instructed his workman to rectify these things while finishing the job. I don't think I should have been the one to point out the problems with the work to Moacir. I also noticed that one part of repair was done differently from estimate/contract (deflector put in instead of pitch insulation). Moacir explained that once they viewed area up close from ladder, they found that roof was ptiched already so deflector was better. I could see what he meant so that was fine. But viewing the job up close on ladder before giving estimate in the first place would have been better. Workman came back same day and finished job. Another reason for "C" in repsonsiveness: I gave first 33% payment in personal check on 1/2/12 since Moacir told me that computer problems (again!) made it hard for them to accept AmEx after all. I reviewed completed work with Moacir again a couple of days later and gave complete payment by check (not on AmEx as originally agreed in writing/email). Overall, good work, I believe, and a good experience. But I did have to follow up on a lot of things on my own initiative that FRS should have followed up on themselves.

Overall it was outstanding - he gave me an estimate that was neither the highest or the lowest. He and his team came to do the work on time, they did some extra things without charging me, they cleaned up very well before they left and the job looks great. I have no hesitation recommending him.

While the water stains appeared in the same exact spot, Fabio claimed it was my roof that needed to replaced not the flash this time. He wouldn't accept responsibility and left convinced that it was the roof. I got a second opinion, the second roofer said the flash had been wrapped too tight, and did not go high enough up the chimney. He also suggested that I get a cover for the chimney. The second guy did me a solid and caulked the chimney to prevent further water damage temporarily but it will eventually need to be done over again. Fabio refused to accept responsibility and a year and half later, I will have to do the job all over again. Very disappointing...

I think they were fine. The quality of their work was fine. They were responsive.

The ice dam is gone, the roof is fixed, we are happy. And dry.

The entire project went exceptionally well with top-grade materials and very professional workmanshipand we are really pleased with the end result. Fabio was responsive from the very beginning, answering my request for an estimate on the day I called. The few times I needed to call about something he always responded immediately if he was available, otherwise by the same evening. Fabio's estimate was lower than any of the others though that was not our only criterion for choosing FRS. We liked Fabio from the start and felt good about working with him. His proposal was very complete and gave specific details of the materials and manufacturer to be used so that I could research the shingles on line. GAF is a top-of-the line producer. Fabio brought along samples so that we could choose colors before we signed the contract. We needed red shingles and had to upgrade to the Ultra-HD line, which required a special order, but Fabio gave us a good price for that change on the spot. We needed to get this job done before we left for a trip. Despite a rainy patch before the job started, FRS started the job on time and completed it in three days as Fabio had stated in the contract. Our house had a very old roof, and it turned out that there was an unexpected third layer of shingles. The crew of three worked really hard even though this third layer meant much more weight to move. They did not cause unnecessary disturbance and did not use radios. On the third day, they finished up the front corner of the house in the dark using flash-lights. We were home for all three of the work days and I was impressed at how the crew scheduled their tasks. The job was done just the way I wanted it without my needing to get involved. Even the dumpster company that FRS used was impressive. Our driveway is steep and short so the full dumpster needed pulling upwards. With the extra weight of the third layer it was more than heaping full and about 7 tons. I thought that the driver used great skill to pull the dumpster out without the front of the truck lifting off the ground. The day after the work was done, Fabio came around to check the site and for a walk-around. I was sweeping up the area where the dumpster had been but he insisted he do that himself. The job site clean-up was surprisingly good. There are naturally, small pieces of the old roof that turn up every now and then but very few. I would have no hesitation at all in choosing FRS for another job like ours. Given the quality of the work, and the 10-year warranty on workmanship (lifetime for the shingles from the manufacturer) I have no worries now about our roof. I was also impressed that the payment schedule just required 33% up front, with the rest due only on completion of the job. My heartfelt thanks to Fabio and his crew!

EXCELLENT, AS USUAL! Hudson painted four ceilings; kitchen, hallway, livingroom; and bedroom. The livingroom was the tough ceiling to repair! Due to heavy water damage, from an old leaking roof, it had to be done in steps. Hudson removed the old, stained plaster, and rebuilt the damaged area, of the ceiling with plaster. He painstakingly repaired the ceiling, using Kilz, as well as the plaster. It was a long process because of the water damage. He also repaired two large holes in the livingroom ceiling, made after new electrical work, was completed in the room. I also had Hudson, and Adail, make repairs to a wall in my bathroom, inside shower area. My ceilings came out beautiful! The next step was to repaint my kitchen, hallway, and lastly the livingroom. Hudson is the best painter! Very fast and efficient and NO MISTAKES! I was going to repaint and wallpaper my bedroom, but have asked Hudson to return and do the paint job! I could never paint like he does! A++++++++ again Guys!! Thank you!!

Adale, the business owner, was professional and attentive to our needs and requests. He did an overall fantastic job - the primary roofing work and the indirect (obtaining permits, coordinating dumpster and materials delivery, daily clean-up, and care to ensure protection from weather, debris, and driveway/property harm. He was great to work with through all stages of the job (negotiation - estimating to site work and job completion). His demonstrated and communicated expert knowledge and was open and willing to discuss options we had along the way. He and his crew were focused, polite, and dedicated to getting the job done in the projected time frames. Overall - one of my best experiences with a provider - the quality of the work was excellent, but more importantly the quality of the man was EXCEPTIONAL. Adale is a rare find in this day and age - congenial, trustworthy, and committed to delivering quality. EXCELLENT! Adail Batsos is an awesome guy, and I look forward to working with him, in the next few weeks. I got an excellent price, on the roof, and saved an additional 5%, due to an Angie's List Coupon he submitted! His prices were much lower than two other companies I called. I saved almost $3,000.00 for a new roof! Once the work has been completed, I will re-submit an additional report. However, in the meantime, I HIGHLY recommend calling AAB Roofing for an estimate. The roof was completed on November 12, 2011, it only took two days! Adail and his workers arrived earlier, than I expected, and went to work straight away! My new roof looks beautiful, additional repairs were made to a rubber roof, at the back of the house, as well as the chimney area. Again, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AAB Roofing to anyone looking to have their roof redone! The price was excellent, the workers were fast and effficient, cleanup was great, AND I got to use the dumpster left for pickup, on Monday, November 14th. THAT was an added bonus! It came in very handy to help me clean out a few things around my house/yard! I LOVE MY BEAUTIFUL, NEW ROOF AND AAB ROOFING! Quick summary--for a mid-level roofer, I give them an A. I got more than my money's worth, and the customer service was awesome. Moacir's the main guy that gets the jobs and interfaces with customers--he's super nice, and his crew cleaned up above and beyond every day after finishing, to the point of trimming one of my trees that had a couple broken branches after the hurricane and vacuuming the patio. I didn't even ask fro the tree--I just noticed it was cleaned up one day and lying in the dumpster. They're also pretty cheap, about 10-20% less than anyone else I got quoted, and did a better job than that next cheapest guy, who's work I'd inspected. They were quick, worked really hard from morning to dusk, and got the job done. Keep in mind, there are guys out there that will charge $30,000 (double) for this amount of work, and the good ones will do a really beautiful job--you do get what you pay for. But I wasn't looking for a "Mercedes" job with all the bells and whistles, I just wanted the life-time architectural shingles and the new rubber roofs, and for my house to stop leaking. For that, I can't imagine anyone doing a better job than FRS. And why pay an extra $15000 when a roof usually just lasts 25-30 years anyway and you gotta just replace it? Fyi, if you're not used to dealing with contractors, don't expect that they'll get every last detail on the first try, since it's hard for the main guy to see everything, just talk to Moacir about it, and he'll make it right. That's what we did, and he always fixed everything to our satisfaction.Overall, great experience. Below average headache in dealing with a contractor. Just make sure to write everything down ahead of time that you want done with the contractor before and as you proceed. It's easy for either side to forget what was said, and the paper will help with any headaches.

We called this contractor for a quote for a new roof & gutters. The contractor was puntucal & professional. We did not hire him as his quote was the higest we received out of four roofers.

Fabio (of FRS) did the estimate before we bought the house, and he responded very rapidly when we asked him to come back and confirm. His team did the entire job on a Sunday, just a few days after our second conversation. The two man team started early, worked hard all day, and finished around 6pm. They were polite and friendly. They were also scrupulously tidy...by the time they left, it was hard to see any evidence that so much work had been done.

The price was reasonable. It was fine. It was just as expected and just as they said they would do.

It went great. They were on time, professional and courteous. They were educational and explained each step they took in the roofing project. They cleaned up all of the debris. I am very happy with service.

The estimate went fine and I am moving forward with them. I thought they were professional and experienced with what they said they were going to do.

There was no problem with them at all, and the prices were similar to another company, but I decided not to get the roof redone. They seemed to know what they were talking about and gave me the estimate fairly quickly. They were very prompt and came exactly when they said they were going to come. I have no experience with their work, but other than that, they were fine in all respects. I would consider using them again in the future.

I talked to them about three or four weeks ago but decided to go with somebody else. I decided to go with a company that has more experience and better ratings on Angie's List. They were very nice. They got me a quote pretty quickly. They were actually the same price as the other company which I decided to go with.

I got AAB's information from Angie's list. I emailed him, and that day he emailed me back. He came the very next day to look at the roof and give me an estimate. He followed up a few days later with a proposal, and came to our house and talked to us about replacing the roof. He took the time to talk with me and my husband, and was just an overall nice guy that knew what he was doing. After meeting with a few more roofers, we decided to go with AAB. He told us when he could start the job, which was within a week, weather permitting. He came when he said, and when he wasn't able to due to the weather, kept me informed. The work he did was great, they cleaned up afterwards, and he got it done on time. My husband and I were both so impressed with his work ethic. I would absolutely recommend him to others, and in fact have to our neighbors that have inquired about him. Great Job! Great Guy! We are so happy with our new roof!

They came out right away and gave a great price. Even with the Winter, I haven't had any problems. They were extremely neat. They did what they needed o do in 2 days in extremely cold weather. I couldn't even tell that they had been there when they left. They were great.
