Description of Work: Provider responded after my first dissatisfied report to Angie's List with a general proposal devoid of specific details. I called and was promised specifics. None have been received.Seller is unresponsive, unwilling to properly bid and evasive. if a potential buyer cannot get through the preliminaries, what can be expected if they are awarded a contract. Angie's List would be advised to drop them. Their being on the List contaminates the "goodness" and reliability of the List.

Description of Work: They installed a radon mitigation system. The excellent customer service started with office staff explaining their offering and scheduling the work. The technician called ahead, arrived on time, was very professional. He did a nice job consulting with us to select the location of the unit, installation was clean, and provided a good overview when he left.

It went as well as can be expected. Honestly, radon in water is of questionable seriousness. What I mean is, does it really matter? There are no studies proving it's a problem. But we were selling our house and our real estate agent absolutely demanded we address the problem. So we did. SWAT did a great job and were very professional. After they installed the system, though, the water smelled and tasted bad. But we had them come in and install a filter which helped a lot. We wanted to pass along the best we could to the new family. Adam and Becky at SWAT were lovely people and very helpful. I'd highly recommend them to anyone, but if you don't need such a system (unless you're selling your house and the buyers inspection reveals it) read up on the true need.

I am absolutely not happy. I am trying to figure out how to remedy the situation without hiring anyone or take them to court. They are careless. They are still currently going on because I was not happy but they've already invoiced me for the work even if the fan was not going on and it is not done right. I emailed them and left a voice mail to call me regarding the work. I actually spoke with them on Monday and Tuesday of this week about this and I asked them if somebody could come back and finished the work. I was told I would call you back but I never got a call back. They sent me an invoice, they were supposed to have deducted $200 from the invoice so one person sent me an invoice with a new price and then the next day I got a full price invoice again emailed to me after that. Even though I am not happy and I don't consider the work to be complete which I told them on Monday and Tuesday about they still invoiced me. After the invoice I emailed and responded to them to say that number 1 I am not happy with the work and I need them to call me so we could talk about the next step and number 2 the invoice they sent me is full price again after I talked with somebody about --- because they didn't do the second part of the house they agreed not to charge me for that but they only took off $200 when the work is substantial. I didn't understand that --- but then I got an invoice the second time again so I got three invoices total. Two of them were full price and one of them was reduced. They were unresponsive and evasive. I have to move next Wednesday and I need this radon thing to be taken care of.

The new owners seem to be doing a much better job than the original owners were when I had purchased the system.

They did fine. They found an easy solution, but the buyer wanted something more complicated so we decided to go with the more complicated system. It took them a day or a day and a half to do the work -- they worked very quickly. They did the job and pleased the buyer.

They did an excellent job and were very thorough and diligent. The first test yielded results that were above their guarantee so they came right away to adjust the bubble up device. The second test result was perfect. The water had a slight smell and taste initially, so they sent their manufacturer to assess the device and he recommended a carbon filter on the output of the system, which we had installed. These folks were very approachable, understood the importance of responsiveness for us and we would highly recommend SWAT Environmental of Sudbury to anyone.
Description of Work: They installed a full radon water mitigation system in our basement, tested the water after installation to confirm it met their guarantee, then added a carbon filter at the output to help with taste and smell.

Excellent communication and explanation of system. Great presentation of system online. Everything went very smooth and took less time from start to finish than I anticipated. Each staff member I spoke to was very professional and easy to deal with. One deciding factor in selecting SWAT was that the other two companies I was discussing the system with were very pushy and treated me as if I did not have enough intelligence to know what I needed and wanted.
