Dan was able to make time on short notice to construct a closet in preparation for listing my house for sale. The work was expertly done from start to finish. Great service!

Everything went extremely well. Everything on my list that I wanted done was completed and I am so more than very pleased with the work that Dan did. I will definitely choose Handy for Hire again and am in the initial stages of doing so. Dan arrived within the time frame that I had been told over the phone that he would. He went over with me before he began working what I wanted done, where in the condo the work would be done - which room and where in the room, how much it would cost me for him to do this work, and proceeded to complete each of the job requests. I am extremely pleased with Handy for Hire.

Daniel was very prompt and efficient. He even apologized for being so busy that he couldn't schedule our project any earlier, and he offered to reduce the quoted price because he was able to complete the work very quickly when he came! I paid the full amount, though, because I felt it was important to honor the agreement.

The experience with Dan's company was pleasant right from the beginning. Emailed me with clear instructions on how the company operated. Sent a reminder email as promised a few days before the scheduled appointment. On time, on schedule, on budget. Took the time to explain all options. No surprises. Dan and his helper were very courteous and professional.

Dan is terrific. He did a great job for us. He was responsive, on time, and put in very long hours in order to get our work done. I recommend him highly.

I apologize for the length of this review/testimonial/details, but I want to be thorough. I?ll start by saying that I highly recommend Dan. His website states that, ?[he] has built this business on genuine concern for his customers that they get everything they wanted and more.? I couldn?t agree more! My wife and I bought a 1911 house in August 2014. While the house is in great shape, there were many small and medium-sized projects that needed to be done. I asked Dan to come to my house so that we could discuss projects and for me to decide if Dan was the right person for the job. I had a few broken window panes that needed to be replaced. When Dan saw some old windows in the loft of our garage he asked if he could use the glass to replace the broken window panes. By suggesting using matching antique glass with the distortions, dimples and ripples, showed me that Dan understood that I wanted to maintain the charm of the house. At this point, I knew Dan was the right person for the job. Dan has worked on multiple and various projects for a minimum of one day a month. I have given him a list of projects, and he expertly and efficiently works his way through the list. Here is just a sample of some of the work he has done. He replaced the ropes and weights in windows that were stuck and now lift easily with one finger. I had an antique cabinet latch that wasn?t latching and when he couldn?t find a replacement spring he crafted a custom spring. My 100+ year old Pergola?s columns needed to be replaced. Dan researched and found a website that sold resin columns that matched the pergola. I ordered the columns and he replaced them. The pergola now is safe and looks great. He also replaced a multi-level section of copper gutters on one section of the house. There have also been two times when I had an emergency that needed to be dealt with quickly, and Dan was able to find the time to help. I could go on and on, but I did get everything I?ve wanted and more. I will continue using Dan for all my small and medium-sized project needs.

Dan was prompt, professional, and did a great job. I am thankful every time I use either the front or back door!! I highly recommend him, and will definitely work with him in the future.

Danny Cormier is a treasure. Furthermore, he lives near me in Maynard. He and his assistant, dressed in their uniforms as always, arrived at the appointed time and did all the work in around an hour. They put the airco units on pallets, cleaned up thoroughly, and left. This was the fourth time I have called them. I am 73 so I need help sometimes others might not need. Danny never complains about a job being too small, and is always cheerful and quick. He is so popular it can take him a couple of days to get to me, but he always does when promised.

What else do you want me to tell you? I am so extremely pleased with their work! I would not hesitate to call them again if the need arises. I'd give them an A+ Thank you for giving me the opportunity to send this evaluation

I needed a handyman on short notice to start renovations on a bathroom. Also we needed some ceiling tiles replaced in the basement. We were on a deadline for these projects so we could get our house on the market asap. I chose to contact Handy for Hire when I read that they keep availability by only accepting smaller jobs and when I saw that I could contact them directly through their website at night rather than waiting for business hours to call after the holiday weekend. I also liked that they charge a flat rate of $130/hr for the two men (not each) which eliminates the guesswork on price and the need to solicit estimates prior to work getting started. I contacted Handy For Hire through their website on Saturday night of Labor Day weekend inquiring about whether they could do the above work in the coming week. Within an hour, I got an email back stating that they were available on Tuesday and within a few email exchanges I had a time set with them. Dan and Corey showed up exactly on time, and they were extremely courteous and professional the entire 5-6 hrs. They did very labor-intensive work on an extremely hot and humid day and maintained a very positive attitude the entire time without a single overheard word of complaint. They made short work of the demolition and then I gave them cash to go out to the hardware store to purchase the drywall. They said they'd grab lunch also while out. They came back within a half hour to finish the job. We are extremely pleased with the quality of their work and the entire interaction with them from start to finish. At the end of the job Dan produced an electronic itemized bill which was emailed to us. I would definitely highly recommend Handy for Hire.

It took a little while to schedule, but once we came to an agreement on the job scope it was performed the next day. He repaired the gutter exactly how I asked and cleaned the debris out while he was up there. He was reasonable to deal with and met all my expectations. I would certainly use him again for jobs that I don't want to do. Cost includes materials.

I noticed a water stain on the ceiling a few weeks ago. Found Dan on Angies List. Dan came out on Saturday and inspected the issue very thoroughly and found the potential cause. He came out the other day, replaced the vent hood cap. It was a very nice job. Dan even came out the third time to prime the stain to make sure everything is done correctly. Dan also spent extra time to add an extra piece of downspout to make sure all melted snow get into the gutter. I was amazed by Dan's work. Will definitely hire him again.

Very responsive to prioritizing with us the items that needed attention. First rate work. Will continue to use this service.

It was a week before he ever called back, then when he did call back he told me he had a poor reception and would call back. He did not call back. Honestly, I think when he called me he didn't realize who he was calling. He didn't act like he knew what the job was although I did describe it in the message I left for him. He also called the number I called him from and NOT the number that I left in my message. All around most unprofessional. I am quite fed up with unprofessional people who don't return calls. If they aren't interested in the job, then they should say so!

I needed to repair or replace some damaged vinyl siding. I phoned Dan and found him very accessible and pleasant to work with. He was very responsive after our initial call, visiting the work site the very next day. He suggested a creative and cheaper way to repair the siding as opposed to replacing it (which would be much more costly). A week passed before he was able to complete the job, and in that time period I phoned him back to check in. He finishing the job to my satisfaction and emailed me a professional-looking invoice. I would definitely call Dan again for handy man jobs.

This guy is good! I messaged everyone trying to find someone to come help me finish my pre-sale punch list. Dan not only responded but found a way to move things around to fit me in 2 days later. On the day of the service, I gave Dan my mile-long "honey-do" list which contained a huge variety of tasks. In the span of 8 hours he knocked out nearly everything I needed done. He offered to come back the next day to finish but he had finished so much, that I felt comfortable finishing the tasks myself. The hourly price was a bit more than others that responded but when you need help ASAP you take what you can get. I did, however, expect 2 people because of the image on Angie's List. 2 people vs. 1 person makes a big difference in the amount of work that gets done and it seems the hourly rate is the same no matter what.

Dan Cormier is a total professional. He does top notch quality work for a fair price. He fixed doors on a kitchen island, installed bathroom fixtures, and precisely hung several heavy pictures and a glass shadow box. He worked with us and made several helpful suggestions on the placement and height of fixtures and pictures. I would definitely hire Dan again and highly recommend him to other Angie members.

It was very successful. In 2 hours he accomplished more than I would have expected. He is a real professional and a pleasure to work with. He goes out of his way to accommodate the customer. His truck is amazing to see. He has every tool imaginable and carries a very impressive hardware supply. Example - the storm door fix required special bracket to attach the retractor to the door frame. He just happened to have one on the truck. He has recently invested in a computer based client service management system and is finding it to be a big help in providing responsive customer service. He is now on my list for all of my future handyman projects.

He came out to do a preliminary check if it was even possible, told me what it would it would take and I ordered the window and he removed the old window and installed the new one.
