About us

A true handyman service, intentionally not pursuing contractor type tasks to focus on the under served "small task" market that every home has, but most services don't want or are not properly equipped to handle with the kind of competence, quality and professionalism that we do. Staying true to small jobs keeps our availability much higher. You will not find such a comprehensive package to arrive in an impressively large van stocked with all things necessary to address such a wide variety of tasks with such care and competence. If you've had trouble finding someone to hang your pictures, change a hard to reach light bulb, get your slider to you know ...slide. We're the call you need to make. Currently our hourly rate is $ for two skilled professionals. We typically suggest to resign to whatever your budget will allow, preferably 4 or 8 hour time frames and call with your prioritized list of tasks. Prioritizing ensures you are making the most of our visit with the things that will best enhance your life. Once the time is up, the remainder will defer to the next visit when finances will again allow, again to address the most important items to you first. By repeating this you will have your every day life looking and functioning the way it should, no more cabinet door that you have to open that certain way so it won't fall off, or what have you. We do charge for time in acquisitioning the necessary supplies, typically one hours time and will take away all waste produced every time for a nominal fee if desired. Handyman in the truest sense. In the past we've installed bat houses, repaired decks, righted sheds & concrete stairs, re-screened/repair patio doors & wheels, fixed cabinet doors, repaired exterior rot (selectively) with new trim or rot specific hardeners. Hung pictures and paintings, assembled diy furniture and yard playsets. Cleaned gutters, pressure washed for miles, install/repair storm drs. Really the variety is boundless with the only exception being jobs that require bldg. permits.

Description of Work: They put in a new mailbox and post, replaced a screen door on the porch, treated the roof, and checked the gutters. Dan reported that the gutters were clear and clean, so no work needed to be done on them. He made recommendations for exchanging the downspout to a larger diameter, but that is a potential future job. He was prompt and courteous, and did a fine job. Also, I found their website very easy to use.

Description of Work: I had picked out several projects I thought would be straightforward for them to work on. Each project ended up meaning more work for me - cleaning everything out of a bathroom; finding replacement tiles for a drop ceiling even though he had no idea where to look for them. I do a lot of DIY myself; I had chosen projects I didn't really want to do, but the prep work before they were willing to do them and their talk about being very busy was very discouraging. They might be great people and great workers but I just don't have the energy to do the prep work for them.

I find it hard to believe I have to respond to this but in defense of my reputation, this was certainly no ordinary house. The bath floor that I was to work on was covered in 10 years or more of storage and debris, it only made sense to sort through the mess on her own instead of paying us to do her housekeeping. The ceiling tiles she speaks of were not ceiling tiles at all but a material used last, likely in the 50's and difficult if not impossible to find. I would guess that is what someone else had discovered as her dining room ceiling had been removed years ago and has been living with it exposed since and not with any desirable aesthetics by anybodies imagination. The experience was odd, uncomfortable. My business is founded on doing what others don't want or cannot do themselves and am not in the habit of passing off labor to my customers. Sometimes however what seems like very common sense suggestions are perceived in surprising ways.

Popularity in business creates many challenges and when 10 yrs of business calls on you all at once it only reiterates the need to expand to handle the excess.
