Description of Work: The job was repair & clean some grout, clean the track & re-hang a glass shower door. It was difficult to get the estimate, which should have been a warning sign. They seem pretty disorganized. But I hired them because I like to use a local business when I can. One shower door was broken. OK, accidents happen and Foley did replace it at their cost. But the floor was permanently damaged for which they would take no responsibility, and they were occasionally rude and unprofessional about that in our discussions. The re-installed door was not hung plumb. I gave up & hired someone else to re-hang the door who did a perfect job. Foley did not finish the grout job either, so I hired someone else to finish that. Maybe OK as a retail store, but that's it.

Description of Work: My dishwasher overflowed, and the hardwood floor beneath it buckled. Foley and Sons have a huge selection of materials; my insurance did not cover what I needed, so we had to reduce the scope of the job. Foley's support staff is terrific. The job seemed to take forever to schedule, because everyone was busy. They did good work.

Description of Work: He gave an estimate of nearly $1000 for what would basically be 4-6 hours of uncomplicated work, removing grout in shower stall and replacing it, There was a minor amount of repair as well, but this estimate was far too high for the amount of work involved.

Description of Work: Twenty years ago, this company put down a vinly floor in our remodelled bathroom and did a good job. I called the company for an estimate on a floor in a newly constructed bathroom. Chuck came out in a timely manner; gave suggestions on what materials to use (tile versus linoleum) and an estimate of cost. Within a few days, I received a very detailed plan of what work would be done and the approximate cost. Since the cost was higher than another estimate, I went with the other company. However, I did recently purchase some replacement bathroom tile from Foley's. They have very helpful personnel and were able to match the color and size of tile I needed immediately. I recommend this company.

+ -1 moreChuck was very good to deal with and was clearly very knowledgeable when he came by for the estimate. Our room is wide enough to require two sheets (given the product roll width) and Chuck helped explain how to best orient the flooring for seam placement. Chuck gave very clear instructions for me to relay to my general contractor about how to prep the floor and how to situate the cabinetry (keeping the island 'floating' for example). Installation was done ahead of the scheduled time (after a phone call from Chuck checking if that was OK) to accommodate our contractor's overall schedule - this was a nice touch. Installer was a father and son (that may have been a subcontractor) who were working on teaching the younger fellow the methods of the business. Job was completed in mere hours and everything was cleaned up nicely at the finish. Foley's was able to supply and install the material for less than another local competitor was going to charge me for the material alone. I'd highly recommend Foley and Sons Floor and Tile based on my solid surface flooring experience.

+ 5 moreHe came recommended to me and he was able to do all the things that I wanted done. He did all the permits, which is important. They are decent people and we had no trouble working with them at all. I was happy with them. I felt that they were a little expensive.
Description of Work: They broke out a wall and added six feet, redid the plumbing and replaced pipes, tiled the floor and the walls, put in new wiring for radiated heat, installed the toilet and the tub, and put in a pocket door, sink, and vanity.
