Arrow gave a very competitive estimate. After putting the deposit down, they realized that they couldn't do the job exactly how we wanted it. So, they gave the deposit back. The owner gave me his cell number, so throughout the process I could communicate with him without any problems.

Working with Arrow was quick and easy. They provided a quick estimate and were able to install the fence in about 2 weeks. They gave us good advice about doing this as a portion of a larger project. We'll definitely hire them again. The finished product looks beautiful.

The quick summary: I contacted Arrow Fence Company via Angie's List on June 10, 2014. By June 19, I had a written estimate from Jake Sullivan in my email box. After a few requests for quotes with different fence types, heights, etc, I ended up going with the plan from the original estimate. By July 16, the work was completed. The fence looks fantastic. They did a great job of leaving our yard clean and organized (with countless rocks that they had to pull from our yard...we now have nice new rocks to use around our flower beds!). The longer version: Jake was always very responsive to my messages, whether via Angie's List, regular email, or phone calls. Jake was the only person from a fence company (and I had met with at least 5 different companies at our house for estimates) to be completely comfortable with repairing only one section of our fence at a time. We were told by many other companies that they would have to replace our entire fence, and that they wouldn't just be able to do one wall at a time. My wife and I weren't quite sure what kind of fence we wanted to go with, or what height would be best. So, after Jake gave us our estimate for a 6' cedar stockade fence (the same style that was already there), he was happy to provide different quotes for different heights, materials, etc. He also gave us a quote for the entire fence (which was the lowest of any quote we received, by the way), but we didn't have the flexibility to spend that much at the time. So, we ended up going with his original estimate. When I called to put the deposit down, they said that it would be about 4 weeks to get us on the schedule. About a week and a half later, Jake called to say that he had a cancellation for the following day, and would be able to do our job, if we were interested. We went ahead with the work, weeks ahead of schedule. Unfortunately for Jake and his crew, it was one of those days when we had an all day rain storm. That didn't stop them from coming out and doing the work however. The finished product looks fantastic, and they left our yard in better shape that we expected considering the circumstances. In addition to putting up a whole new wall of fence, they were also able to fix a poorly hung fence gate, as well as fix the attached fencing segment to the corner it should have been attached to. When we're ready for another wall of fence to be done, we will definitely be calling Jake and Arrow Fence Company. From start to finish, it was a great experience. Thanks guys!

We were very pleased with Arrow. Their pricing was competitive and they were very accommodating with changes. We considered several different configurations. They were happy to price out alternatives and didn't nickel and dime us on changes. The fence looks great!

Jake Sullivan, one of the owners, came out very promptly to figure the job. He provided an estimate for what I thought I wanted (replacement of wood pickets) but suggested the alternative of ornamental aluminum as being consistent in appearance with older wrought iron fencing across front yard, and as more durable and requiring relatively little maintenance compared with wooden pickets. I had secured estimates from another highly rated firm and asked for a new quote from them for ornamental aluminum, just for comparison. I contracted with Arrow based on their reputation, their responsiveness, and their competitive price. Knowing that I would need to do this project as soon as possible after the ground thawed and the snow (finally) melted, I sought estimates in late winter so that I could get on the April or May schedule of the firm I chose. Arrow started when promised, kept their word that my yard would not be "open" overnight at any time during the project (I have dogs, including a rescue foster dog who is an "escape artist"), arranged a temporary "fix" when it turned out that their supplier had sent one fence section and one gate in incorrect sizes, and returned to finish the job when the correct gate and fence section arrived exactly when promised. The same crew worked on the job throuout, were very pleasant, cleaned up carefully (including sharp sheet metal screws and fasteners). Jake Sullivan responded promptly to all questions and kept me informed about schedules and job progress. I am delighted with the quality and appearance of the installation and would not hesitate to use Arrow Fence again and to recommend them to others.

The owner came to the property himself and arrived exactly when he said he would. He discussed options on the types and styles of cedar wood fences in great detail. The knowledge and experiences he shared helped with our decision. We had 2 other quotes without any detail discussed. The owner was very personable and professional. His employees were swift, neat and courteous. They also came when they said they would. Our neighbors liked it so much they also hired Arrow fence. I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.

Arrow fence was good to work with. They provided a quick and accurate estimate with a informal drawing of their plans. We ordered pressure-treated posts, but when they arrived the brought non-pressure treated posts. They quickly rectified the issue and installed the right posts. All their work was done in a couple days and we are happy with the results.

We’ve been really pleased with their work. The price is good and the quality is good. I would recommend them to my neighborhood. If I call them and tell them that I have a problem, they will show even unannounced to me that they’ve come and gone and the quote is in my e-mail and I didn’t even know that they’ve come by and done the work. I thought they had missed a part and I called up and complained and I went out and they were actually there. The sales guy has always been very responsive and personable. The people who originally put the fence in were great.

GREAT job! We were shopping around and had some other quotes for a fence - the other quotes were higher in cost. After looking at Angie's List, we decided to try out Arrow... they were prompt, super helpful, and very nice! We were going to move forward with a fence costing over 10k, and Arrow Fence suggested we do a lower cost fence (!) - we were never up-sold during the process. The fence looks great, and we would totally use them again.

We called in several fence companies to quote the removal of old fencing and replacement. It was a big job, and the topography of our lot was challenging. Not only is it quite hilly, but we also needed it to be "dog tight" - with fencing flush to the ground. Although Arrow Fencing was not the least expensive, I had the greatest confidence in them after speaking to Jake, the job supervisor. We did negotiate a little on price based on other quotes. As I said, it was a big job, and they agreed to leave the work site "dog safe" every night when they left. And they did. Debris was taken away on a daily basis, and my request to leave some of the cedar for firewood was accommodated. (it was also explained that old cedar does not burn hot - but it's great kindling - all of which is true) I know any muscle man can dig a fence hole - but truly the fence is a thing of beauty. The three gates had to be custom made on site, and they work perfectly. One small detail we didn't care for (it was actually a mis-communication between myself and Jake) was IMMEDIATELY corrected. One crazy (and expensive) idea I had Jake talked us out of. The crew on site where polite and hardworking and the job was started and completed in the timeline I was told to expect. Because our lot actually adjoins five different neighbors (it's long across the back) the transitions where important and they were beautifully done. They take credit cards, if you want to rack up points - which I appreciated. Especially since the fence cost more than my first car....!

I called three vendors. One told me to look at their website and order from there. One took a day to call me back, took my requirements and then never called back again. The third was Arrow Fence. They had a rep (actually the owner) come out the very next day after I called. He gave me a verbal approximate price on the spot, but then emailed me an official quote that evening. I hired them the next day. About a week later someone came by and installed everything in a couple of hours. The whole process couldn't have been easier or more pleasant. I would definitely hire Arrow Fence again!

The company has not returned calls or e-mails to get the quote. Disappointed as we had hoped to use a local business and they had good ideas.

I needed to install a privacy fence around my new home as soon as I took possession, so I contacted a few Angie's List providers. Arrow Fence was not able to initially come out to the property, but I took another estimate I had received out to their showroom and spoke with Trevor for about 30 minutes to describe exactly what we needed and what options they had to meet those needs. Trevor drew up an estimate based on the other company's measurements, but we also made an appointment for later in the week for him to come out in person. Once Trevor arrived at the house and retraced the other man's design, he stated that he really didn't think I'd be happy with this, then he proceeded to explain why. I then asked him what he would do differently, and he drew up an entirely different plan. While the second design cost about $2500 more than the first, he was absolutely right. By taking Trevor's suggestion, we have about 3x the usable yard space that we would have had with the other design. Timing for the fence construction was extremely important based on our situation, so it had to go up on a certain day. Trevor arranged for this, but he warned me that the gates would not be ready by my desired date. To ensure that we could use the fence, he stated that they would use mesh wire over those openings for a few days until the gates were ready. I had to leave early on the day of construction (which I had shared with the team prior to setting the date), but when I returned the next day, they had not used the mesh as discussed. I called Trevor and left a message (it was a Sunday) stating my disappointment, and when we returned to the house on Monday morning, Arrow Fence had already been out and put the mesh up. All in all, we really love the fence, and I was happy that they dealt with the little construction snafu as quickly as they did.

Arrow removed our old cedar fence , installed PVC fence. They came when they said they would, completed job as promised, price exactly the same as estimate. Installers did a great job. After the job was completed they came back to make a few tweaks that I requested. I would recommend without reservation.

We received estimates from three companies for this job, all within the same ballpark. We went with Arrow because Jake made recommendations regarding style and materials indicating that he was not just very knowledgeable and competent but also that he understood our specific needs and concerns for this project. Jake was prompt, professional and friendly, and we had good communication with him by phone and email.We received his estimate two days after our initial consultation and the work was completed within two weeks.On the day of installation we were pleased that Jake returned in person to go over final details and to get the crew settled in.The job was completed in less than a day by a hard-working two-man crew who were exceedingly friendly and courteous. They deposited rocks and soil in a brush pile as they went, and they cleared the area of all debris and made sure we inspected the fence before they departed.The fence looks great and feels sturdy. We felt we were in good hands during the whole process: what we feared might be a stressful project Jake made painless.We are extremely satisfied with this experience and will definitely call Arrow for any future fencing needs.

I called 3 companies for estimates. The owner came to look at the proposed job, but got into an increasingly intense talking jag about his personal philosophy. The first couple of sentences would have been acceptable, but he went on and on, despite my fidgeting. This had nothing to do with making the estimate or with business of any kind. When I finally said, "OK, I have to go," he left abruptly without another word. No apology, no "Thank you." The other 2 companies left written estimates. He did not. I never heard from him again.

Chose Arrow primarily because they made the lowest bid; also because our neighbors have been happy with their Arrow fence.

There were no problems. They figured out how to go around a drainage pipe for one end post. There were 2 guys, and it took about 7 hrs to complete the job. They had to dig up a lot of large stones, and disposed of them in the woods behind the yard. The yard was quite wet and there was some grass damage, but I don't think it could be helped. They did clean up well when done. I was satisfied with all aspects of the job.

It went great, the fence looks beautiful (I'm glad I took Trevor's recommendation), and I couldn't be happier. I did think the price ($3300 for a basic ornamental aluminum fence, with gate, that only goes around 2 sides of the pool) was a bit steep, but as I didn't price shop, I can't really say how the price would have compared to others.

We had used Arrow Fence for another job, and been satisfied with their work. So when we were looking to replace our beat up backyard fence we immediately thought to reach out to them. We set up an appointment to have them come out and provide an estimate, and they were very responsive setting that up. They came, took notes and then sent us 4 different options for us to review and agree on (both Vinyl and Cedar). In reviewing the estimate, I noticed that they were asking for a 50% payment up front and then 50% upon completion of the work. When I had work done with other vendors I was used to paying no more than 30% upfront. So I contacted Arrow and they were very agreeable in working with me to adjust the down payment, and for that I give them a lot of credit. We agreed on a fence, and they came four weeks later (they had to order the fence), and came in one day to do the work. They tried their best ti limit the amount of trampling they did with our plantings along the fence line, and did a decent job cleaning up after themselves. After all that was done, I have had a number of my neighbors come up to us complementing us on the new fence. I am pleased with the work Arrow Fence has done for us and I would use them again for any future work, as well as recommend them to any of my neighbors.

I gathered that they were quite busy, as they stated upfront that it might be 3 weeks to have someone out for an estimate, and 4 weeks to perform the repair. Nonetheless, I received the estimate 5 days after the initial call. When I mentioned that I was expecting a baby in a few weeks, they fit the repair in within a week and a half after I approved the estimate. I very much appreciate their responsiveness, especially for such a small job. It feels great to have this checked off the list!
