Scott came to our home promptly to listen to our remodeling needs. He spent a good deal of time with us as we went over what we wanted, had some good suggestions and was very detailed in taking measurements and pictures. HIs electrical and plumbing subs were quickly brought in for their estimates. We signed the contract with him at the end of June. Construction did not begin until the end of July as we were away on vacation and the building supplies did not arrive until that time. Scott and his crew were timely, polite and fastidious in cleaning up at the end of the day. We had good experiences with all the subs Scott recommended. We chose our own granite fabricators and he had no problem in working with them on our project. We are very happy with the results and feel Scott did a quality job for a reasonable price. We would not hesitate to use him again.

Scott showed up exactly when promised and completed the job in a timely manner. As with most rehab type jobs there were a few problems. In this case the appliance supplier had provided an incorrect measurement which made the actual dimensions incompatible with the original closet design. Scott reworked the closet in an attractive and workmanlike fashion. We were satisfied with the work and appreciated his professionalism.

Scott and his team were prompt, professional and very responsive. Scott communicates regularly, and they leave the job site very clean each day. I couldn't be more pleased.

Scott arrived close to the scheduled time set up to give us an estimate, he thouroughly reviewed the work and took copious notes to prepare an estimate and said he would have an estimate for us within a few days. He then went off on an unrelated topic, unecessarily taking up our time. After the few days passed we had not received the promised estimate; A week later I called him again, he apologized and said he would have the estimate in our mailbox three days later. He must have put it into the wrong mailbox as we never received it. He never had the courtesy to call and let us know that he was apparently not interested in doing our work. I would never consider calling him to perform any work for me.

Mr. Guild and his helpers demonstrated great professionalism in the process of completing the project. They are very busy (not hard to imagine given their stellar ratings here), yet very accommodating with our time line. On a couple occasions, they worked late into the night so that it could be ready for things scheduled in the next day. They also cleaned up every day after their work, showing notable respect and care to the owner's property. Last but not least, Mr. Guild is very good at what he does!

The service from the Guild Construction company was excellent! I had called a few other plumbers but did not hear back from anyone regarding when they were available to look at the leak. Scott Guild has done a lot of work on my parent's house for a few years now and they were very happy with his service and suggested I call him. He was able to stop by the next day and stopped the leak. Instead of charging me a lot of money by tearing walls down to get to pipes he tried re-caulking the drain. This ended up fixing the problem and saving us a lot of money! I would definately recommend the Guild Constructions company to other friends and family of mine.

Scott's workmanship was very good and deserves an A rating for the following items: tearing down the existing garage, excavation of difficult terrain, building a beautiful stone wall, creatively handling difficult drainage problems, hiring good sub-contractors. The less than ideal aspects of this job were: the time it took to complete the job (9 months), numerous delays for various reasons, not all caused by inspectors or surveyors. Because of the delays, when it was time to pour the garage floor, the ground was frozen and it could not be done until April. There were times when Scott said he would be here, and he might show up a week or two later. Communication was often not good. On the other hand, there were days when he would work hard for 12-14 hours with no break, which became a bit of a problem with the neighbors. Minor: The firewall is mostly acceptable for a garage, but would not be so inside a home. Scott did not hire professional tree cutters but cut the trees himself, but he should have. He said he could not find anyone, but this can't be the case. He wanted to save money, but not to cut our costs During this process large branches fell on the house and power lines, he damaged other trees, plants, new gutter helmets. The debris from all this was left for a long time. The end result of the job is very good, but it took a lot of patience to get there. The final bill exceeded the original estimate, but it is justified by the unexpected challenges.

We are very happy with how everything came out. Scott was great to work with- he was able to build a quote at a line item level, so we were able to pick and choose what services we needed, and work on the some of the pieces ourself (demo, insulation, etc.), which is a great way to save some money. Scott was knowledgeable in everything he was working on and was able to provide great suggestions/ advice on what type of products we should use, etc. He was also very easy to get ahold of if we had any questions or concerns and once the project was finished he was able to come back and fix a couple of punch list type items the next day. We will definately keep him at the top of our list for future projects we might have.

Quality was excellent. Execution a little slow, but we can mostly blame the cold winter weather for that.

He was a very kind and respectful man and respected my property. We are very happy.

Overall it went well. Contractor protected hard wood flooring with 2 layers. Plastic with sheets of masonite on top, no damage to hardwoods at all. Finished project within time limit estimated from start. Contractor left with all areas cleaned and washed hardwood floors for final finish.

Mr. Guild came when he said he would come and did a beautiful job repairing my bathtub. He always cleaned up after himself and took measures to protect my home from damage. My bathtub is very sturdy and I am very pleased with the work. My only wish was that he was faster on returning telephone calls.

The project cost above is what I paid the design company--Guild Construction was the contractor assigned to my project, so I don't know what I would have paid if I had been able to contact the company directly. The project had some snags, none of them due to Guild Construction (such as mis-measuring on the part of the design company's designers, ordering the wrong cabinets, etc.)--Scott Guild dealt with every surprise quickly and efficiently. I wouldn't hesitate to contact him again if I have any contracting needs in the future.

Scott is an experienced, honest guy who gave a fair quote, the work was performed to my satisfaction (I am a perfectionist who does most of his own home improvements - except plumbing etc.). He's probably the best contractor that I have worked with in the area.

Scott is very friendly and attentive to the needs of a particular construction site. He makes great suggestions on how to solve intricate problems related to the site and very detail-oriented in his work. His work is of the highest quality, such that even 6 years after the major remodel of our current home was complete in a very timely manner, we have not had to call him back to do over anything. He is extremely reliable and trustworthy. His price is also very reasonable. He is punctual and his estimates are accurate.

I am hiring him again to do a bathroom remodel. Quality work. Overall satisfied with the work done.

Guild's electrician did moderate work here. I would probably not his electrician again.
