Description of Work: "If you want the job done right the 1st, 2nd. 3rd or 4th time, RUN don't walk away from this contractor!!! We moved into a motel for 2 wks to give him the time and space to do things right. He charged us $200 for ""his time"" to get permits-which probably took all of an hour. He never checked our bathroom tile before installing it and as a result our br floor is partly white and partly grey. Even I know that lots of tile can vary and MUST be checked before installation. He ruined our hall floor when removing paint that spilled when the ceilings were done and then had the gall to tell us the floor was that way because of wear. We have always had a runner in the hall. He plastered and painted part of our LR ceiling, getting white paint on a wood beam. The plaster bows noticeably and is not even w/the rest of the ceiling. The bathroom sink failed to pass inspection even though the plumber he used was the plumbing inspector from a town on the Cape. He did not set the nails in the bead board installed in the br. He installed molding in the br that had a seam right at the sink-looked very unprofessional...He fancies himself a great painter and will not use tape when painting which results in a job that does not look professional. He told us that he had repainted the br ceiling, but when it dried, it was obvious that he had only painted the edge by the wall. We asked him to paint the whole ceiling. He told my husband he had and once again he hadn't. The threshold he installed bridging the tile floor and wood floor between the kit. and dining area also had a seam in the middle. We had to tell him to paint the bottom of the kit. cabinets. Otherwise they wouldn't have gotten painted. The paint job on the baseboard in the hall and br/kit windows was inadequate and |we had to bring that to his attention. He offered to redo the br floor by putting another layer over it using some new glue product. One kit. counter is uneven and he was going to fix it, but by this point he had been given 4 punch lists and still had to be reminded what needed to be done. WE WERE DONE!!! In the end he took $500 off the price of the job for the two toned br floor and the overcharge on the permits. I would have rather had the job done correctly and paid the $500. This weekend we had a leak under our kit sink. While he did respond w/in 24 hours, I can't for the life of me understand how a town plumbing inspector could forget to tighten something and/or install the br sink incorrectly. Hmmm... He fixed most of the items on the numerous punch lists. The br floor, lr ceiling and uneven counter still remain. One of the days he was working on the punch list, he left at noojn. Since there were still lots of things to be done we figured he must have gone to lunch. My husband called him a few hrs later and got his voice mail. We didn't hear from him for 2 days. The whole process was an exercise in frustration and disappointment."

Description of Work: They were very thorough in creating a quote for our small bathroom project. Quote just came in a little high for what we had budgeted.

Description of Work: We have used this company over the past 10 years. Our projects have included: roofing, siding, finished carpentry, replacement windows, sheet rock & molding.

Description of Work: Had master bedroom and master bath completely remodeled. As well as framing that was necessary.

Description of Work: Scott Guild managed the remodeling and updating of our home which included extensive structural repairs, roofing, re-silling and extensive repairs of garage, and the installation of replacement windows, doors, vinyl siding, gutters, retaining walls, driveway and landscaping. He also handled extensive repairs to our basement and bathrooms

Description of Work: Scott Guild managed the construction for an extensive remodeling of our kitchen and an upper bathroom. The work was done with great care and artistry. We designed and purchased the remodeling through another company, and the other company project manager hired Scott, having had good experiences with him before. I therefore cannot estimate Scott's charges individually. We were so pleased that when we needed to add some doors and a closet to our upstairs, we asked Scott to do the job, which he did with the same level of excellence at a reasonable price. We are planning to have him replace our gutters and do work on the exterior of our house, as well as put down some complex decorative tiles in our entrance area.

Description of Work: They remodeled the bathroom, kitchen, installed hardwood flooring, granite flooring in the hallway, countertops in the kitchen, tiles in bathroom and kitchen, installed cabinets, fixed part of the roof, landscaped, and put up a long wall in the yard.

Description of Work: They performed a complete remodeling of our kitchen. They demolished the old kitchen, repaired the floor base, laid new tile, installed new cabinets, changed lights, removed a soffit above old cabinets, installed the backsplash, installed new sink & garbage disposal, and installed new countertops. The project cost includes materials (about $21,000). The installation cost paid to Guild Construction was about $19,000.

Description of Work: We had them install new cabinets, countertops, appliances and a sink. They did the whole works. We paid for the materials and appliances separately.
