It turned out beautiful.

Dave was responsive and prompt, and his cost was reasonable. His estimate was as accurate as could be given some real unknowns about what he might find under floors etc. In the end his estimate was right on. There was some rescheduling necessary given the terrible snow storms, and he did the work on two separate days. The work is very good and he carefully explained what he did. We are having him return to do some more work in the spring.

David and his partner visited promptly for an estimate. He was up front about his schedule and the fact that we would not be able to start right away. However, he really impressed us so we decided to wait for him to become available. We were very happy that they really understood what we wanted to do with the room, and they were smart and creative in helping us to do this in an affordable way. Throughout the entire project, we were happy with the level of communication, the creative and flexible approach to implementation, and the attention that they paid to our budget. We were incredibly pleased and will ask them again if we need anything in the future.

Overall this was an excellent experience! David is extrememly punctual to meeting times, very trustworthy and does great work. He gave an estimate as to when he could start the job and then showed up on that date and got to work. He clearly communicated some issues he discovered behind the walls and came up with a great plan for dealing with them. I will definately hire him again when we need something done on the house.

This was a small job that many carpenters would have passed over, but Dave made time for it between jobs, showed up and completed the work on schedule. The new boards were perfectly cut and placed to blend in with the existing siding. Excellent job all around.

Dave was very professional, he gave us a detailed estimated of a number of projects that I would like to complete over time. I had two projects on the list completed, the steps look great and the work was completed quickly and neatly.

Dave always replied promptly to my phone calls and emails. I was concerned that the work would not be finished by our deadline but he came (as promised) a few days before we needed it done and completed everything in one day. We were totally wowed.

Very good experience! Even though Dave was very busy, he managed to come out the day before he'd planned, and finished the work before I even got home (or paid for the work)! Dave and his staff were friendly and courteous throughout the whole process. If I ever need deck/home repair again, I'll certainly use Dave (and the other good folks at Renaissance Carpentry).

David always promptly returned phone calls and followed through on coming when he said he would. I discussed the price before he came; $65 per hour for he and his assistant. I supplied the shingles and wood needed. They cleaned up after the work was done. I will have him come again for carpentry work.

Mr. Parsons responded quickly, and was doing the work within the week. The work was done exactly as requested - what I needed, but did not try to sell me more than I needed. The scraping and painting was done neatly and comprehensively; the stairs were bolted well and steps secured without having to redo the entire staircase. It was the most reasonable price, and the quality was as hoped for. The entire transaction was painless and satisfying.

Another fabulous job! Demolition went smoothly. They had to wait two weeks for delivery of kitchen floor and didn't complain, and that must have thrown off their schedule. Punch list completed perfectly (which in my experience is hard to find). Beautiful paint jobs. Work is superb; the guys are very considerate of the fact that I'm trying to live in the house while they're working, they clean up every night wonderfully and (I don't know how they do this doing demolition work) they keep the dust and debris to a minimum. My life was really disrupted very little. Also Dave has really good ideas and is realistic and honest about what can be done and what can't. His suggestions are usually much better than what I had in mind and usually cheaper. I can't say enough about these guys!

FABULOUS!!! My living room was paneled over crummy, old plaster with holes, etc. Above the dropped ceiling was a mess of wiring. The floor was carpeted over vinyl tiles that had to be chiseled off the fir floor. Dave and his crew did a fantastic job that was reasonably priced and done exactly within the time frame he projected (in my experience a miracle with most contractors). Am planning to redo the hallways, stairs and master bedroom, and some custom carpentry (built-ins) and will definitely use Dave - and wait if I have to. I'd be crazy to use anyone else!

Dave Parsons called back promptly and came within 48 hours to look at the job. He gave us several options for the design of our deck, and completed the work on time and on budget. While he was here, we had him install a new skylight and replace a number of old windows, both of which were completed in a timely manner. We are thrilled with the quality of his work, and recommend him to all of our friends when they need similar work. We would definitely hire him again.
