They were responsive and professional. They were late for the appointment but completed everything on time.

This is the first time that I have not had bugs around the house.

When I called to report the appearance of a few more ants, the technician responded immediately, offering to spray the basement in addition to going over everything he did before, and giving me advice about an unrelated insect problem . He and the owner who answered the phone were very courteous, helpful and generous with their time, though they did not charge for the second visit.

The appointment was set up by phone. We did not need to be home during the service which made scheduling simple and easy. When rain caused a delay, they left a message and reschedule for the first clear day to spray. The flow of the small kitchen ants stopped quickly, but when we found other ants had settled inside the house, they came back right away and did an interior treatment at no extra cost. Great experience overall.

Generl Environmental arrived on time and was very polite and courteous. He did what he said he would do and since he sprayed, I haven't seen any crawling bugs in the house.

I used an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. The response was good but we still have some ants. They were good and at first it kept the ants away. We called because we saw ants and they came immediately but the ants are still there. I was happy because their response was good.

Applicator seemed knowledgeable and was very professional.

The visit went well. Provider was knowlegable and sprayed all around the house, trees in front, garage. No sign of ants visiting the house so far.

The man who came was nice, punctual, professional and informative. The treatment was very effective. We had an issue with pavement ants in our kitchen. Within a couple days the problem went from being a large issue to very minor. Within a week the ants were gone and have remained away for 2 months.

The company called soon after I purchased the deal and scheduled an appointment. They came as scheduled and performed the service. It is now the end of June and I have not seen an ant in my home.

There seems to be a disconnect between the people in the office (inspector and scheduling manager) and the workmen. On June 4, a seemingly qualified inspector visited the property and quickly assessed the pest problem to be carpenter ants and mice. He was very professional and suggested a yearly contract to tackle the pest problems. He quickly acknowledged and accepted the 5% Angie's List discount. The inspector arranged for workmen to come to the property on 06/12 (a week later) and told me it would take about 2 to 3 hours for treatment. They would spray and bait, return in two weeks for a follow up and again in the fall -- all for the one contracted price. I could pay for the services when the workmen arrived. On June 12, I took the day off from work and had the birds, fish and dog removed from the property. One workman arrived, saw the ant problem and a wasp nest. He treated for the ants inside and out for about 45 mins and told me he could not treat for the mice until the ant problem was under control. He also asked if the inspector suggested I have them remove the window sill to better get at the ant problem. He said they had a man that could do the carpentry without any problem. The inspector did not mention removing the window sill. The workman had nothing to sign and did not want payment. Later on June 12, I left two messages --no one returned my calls to confirm when the pets could return to the house and about a follow up for the mice. On June 13, I spoke to the inspector who was apologetic for the worker. The inspector said the worker should have treated for the mice. I also asked about the removal of the window sill and the inspector was perplexed. He said they may have had someone that did that work awhile ago; but they didn't offer that service now. He was surprised the workman did not have me sign anything or accept any payment. He had the scheduling manager speak to me about a return visit for the mice. I spoke with the scheduling manager and set a return trip for June 17th for the mice. The manager took my email to forward me the invoice, which I have not yet received. June 17, a workman arrived and treated for the mice. Although I told the manager I would not be at the property, the workman called my cell phone and left a message that he waited for 20 mins. This workman also mentioned raccoons! Now I have to call the office again. Why must this be so difficult? June 28, a workman arrived for a follow up to spray for the ants. Thankfully, he called me before he sprayed since I was not notified of this return visit. I had to reschedule to allow time for the tropical birds to be relocated. Communication needs improvement.

General Environmental was very professional and punctual, they arrived when they said they would! They are considerate and respectful when working around the home, paying special attention with treatment options in areas where kids or pets play. I would recommend them again!!

I was not home, but was left a note that the tech sprayed around my foundation and windows. He also treated my garage and a tree in my yard by dropping insecticide pellets around the tree.

They were prompt in service and in both cases, the ants disappeared within a couple of days of application.We were due for Spring treatment when we saw the last three ants. I chose them because they are environmentally friendly and safe around pets. All representatives have been very professional and time inside the house was minimal.

They are very good! The guy who came out wrote a report on what I could do to prevent further infestation. I thought he was helpful beyond requirements on the job. I was very pleased with service.

He arrived on time, introduced himself and got to work. He completed the work quickly and then reviewed with me what he had done. He wrote cloth covers on his shoes, which I appreciated.

I spoke with John at their office on Friday, September 7th. I set up an appointment for Monday, September 10th for Bob to come to our home @ 4:30p to look at our problem and give an estimate. I was home @ 4:20pm. I waited until 5pm , when no one showed up or called, I called their office and left a message with their service. When I didn't get a call back, I called again...still no response. Apparently this business has no regard for people's time! I left work an hour early to be here on time. I don't appreciate such unprofessionalism and I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone I know. I expected more from you for having such high reviews!!!!!! Update: There was no attempt to contact me - PERIOD.

Bob and other staff from GES, came out to the property the day of my phone call to give us an estimate, and once we hired them, they were on time and as scheduled from start to finish of this project. First they had to install a one way door, so that the squirrel could exit but not return. Then about 2-3 weeks later they removed the door and installed a steel screen cover.

We’ve used other exterminators and it was almost always a nightmare. GES does what they’re supposed to do and they leave a full report. It’s almost a rarity when a company just does the work, and GES definitely delivers. We have used them for a long time and will continue to do so.
