Description of Work: Replaced a burst pipe that supplied hot-water baseboard heat from the furnace. They responded quite well to my suggestion of an alternate placement for that pipe. This saved much money and ensured that the pipe would not freeze again no matter how cold the outside temperature.

Description of Work: Checked out rooftop heat/AC unit that wasn't igniting. Inspected and cleaned sediment out of burners and pilot. All good stuff and heat did work at the end of it all. My only hesitation is that a disconnected wire was discovered early on and yet the technician had no interest in testing the system after it was reconnected even though he admitted he had "no idea" what it was for. Over an hour later my problem was solved, but I have to wonder about that wire...could my problem have been solved in the first few (less costly) minutes. In the end valuable maintenance was performed on the burners and pilot, so I feel like it was worth the cost. Still, that wire thing wasn't handled right. Why not check it? $$?

He came to assess the problem, told me that the leak meant the heater was out of commission (he was the third person to confirm that) and quickly replaced it with a better, more efficient and smaller unit. He gave great advice and I'll absolutely use his services again if I need a plumber. He was honest and friendly and did a great job.
Description of Work: Jason and staff replaced our water heater quickly and effectively. He even fixed a leaky kitchen sink while he was there using parts he bought for his own personal project. I'm so glad a friend recommended him.

He was always willing to listen to answer questions I had about the work and never once had the 'tude' you get from so many contractors. I had a question after the work was done and he called me back the same day which you don't find too often these days. I would recommend him to any anybody. I was really impressed with his clean up after the job. The place was spotless and you never knew he was there except for the newly installed fixtures. Way to go Jason ! Thanks a lot.

Professional quality work. Will call him again when we are ready to replace our system with a high efficiency (on demand) option. Really appreciated his honesty and integrity
Description of Work: Jason helped us on 2 occasions after we moved into a home in Melrose. Our boiler system is old, but he was able to identify the issues efficiently. First was related to a pilot light and blower issue. The second was a connection issue between the thermostat and heating controls. In addition he took the time to explain the components of our system and offer recommendations on energy efficient options in combination with the rebates and credits offered for upgrades. No high pressure sales tactics, which we appreciated.

+ 0 moreThey are very knowledgeable about high efficiency systems and their work was very professional. I am a bit of a perfectionist and never seem to find contractors who live up to my standards. I always find myself going behind them cleaning up the work they do. In this case Jason and Ross did the work to the standard I was looking for and then some. They even helped me out and cleaned up the gas lines in my basement that looked like the old "pipes" windows screen saver.
Description of Work: The Evolved Mechanical team installed a New 96% AFUE 2 stage Heating and Cooling system with a 2 stage 16 SEER Condenser in my home in Melrose MA
