Cameron showed up, and within an hour of my call had diagnosed the problem - a blown thermostat. He replaced the thermostat as well as servicing the dryer - putting in a new vent pipe and vacuuming out the old one. Maybe didn't need the new pipe, but the cleanout was worth it (lots of pieces of pencils from my kids' pockets stuck inside). The service was quick, cheerful, and professional. The price for these things always feels steep, but he gave me the Angie's List discount that was quoted on the site, so I'm not complaining. :)

Service person arrived in the arranged time window, and quickly found that the drum belt had indeed broken. Disassembled the front of the dryer and the drum to inspect the parts and verify that there was no other damage or wear and tear that needed attention. He had brought a replacement belt because I had told him I thought it was a broken belt that was the problem. Installing the new belt was tricky; the dryer was located in a small closet in our condo and there was limited access. He also just moved the front panel with the electrical wiring to the top of the washer so he didn't have to disconnect and reconnect all the wires. He had serviced this type of unit before and had the experience to properly thread the belt onto the wheels. The work took approximately 45 minutes and the dryer is now working correctly. The belt isn't that expensive a part, so I was not as happy as I wanted to be with the price, but it matched the phone estimate and the work was done professionally and reasonably quickly. Overall I was satisfied and would use them again for other appliance work.

My tenant complained of a gas smell and clicking. I told them not to use it at all. Since I was going up to NH for the weekend, I didn't feel safe leaving the area know that they were having a problem with the stove, especially a gas one. I was having difficulty finding someone that could make it there the next day. The owner made a huge exception for me, since he would be in the area and was able to make it there and meet with my tenant, even though I couldn't be there. I was also able to pay him over the phone, so it was a huge convenience for me.

I was actually surprised when the person from Edgeworth arrived Wednesday morning as it was the day after the "Blizzard of 2015". He diagnosed the problem in just a few minutes, explained what was wrong and then called his office to make sure the part was available. The part was available; he fixed it quickly and was on his way. I was very pleased with the entire experience and will definitely call Edgeworth again for appliance repair.

They were very prompt and very friendly. We were happy with the work they did. We haven't had any issues since. It was a reasonable price. They way above and beyond helped me with the other unit. I would give A's in all categories. They were great. I would definitely use them in the future.

They came first think in the AM. because our food was thawing. Worked for approximately 1. 5 hours played with dog (very important).

They are local. They do a good job. I have had them for years. Whenever something breaks I usually call them. They are reliable people. They have fixed everything over the years. The best thing about their service is that they do a good job. They tell me the truth and they show up when they are supposed to. They are honest. They are the people I have always called to fix my appliances.

The room for the washer and dryer was difficult to fit. They advised which machines would fit and managed to get them into the tight space

I called on 1st October and told the company of my problem. Tech. came out the next day and fixed it.

I had scheduled this appointment for Friday at 9:00 a.m. He was at my house at exactly 9:00 a.m. I explained that water was coming into the freezer section and accumulating under the bin, then leaking out the front of the freezer onto the floor. He removed the food and the bin, removed the ice that had accumulated again, and removed the back panel in the freezer and immediately located the problem. The drain was covered over in ice so he removed that ice and cleared the drain of all ice that had accumulated beneath the drain pan. He was extremely thorough, used towels to not get water on the floor, and put everything back into the freezer. There was no mess left behind. He was also very pleasant and friendly. I would definitely use this company again and would highly recommend him to anyone needing an appliance repairman.

DJ (son of the founder/owner) was very professional and punctual. He called me (as I'd requested) half an hour before and I met him at my condo. He quickly diagnosed the problem and gave the option of replacing the part or having to purchase a new washer/dryer. It's an expensive part, but without it the washer/dryer wouldn't work. I felt comfortable with the service and explanation and will likely be calling in the future when/if another appliance decides to check-out.
