A-1 Crystal Clean Services

Description of Work: In July of 2012 I received an email from Angies list about a Big Deal for power washing. We really needed this at the time so decided to go for it, even though it was a lot of money ($199). Well, A-1 Crystal Cleaning cancelled several appointments that summer. In the Fall, we had extensive reconstruction on the house, so did not attempt to make any more appointments until Spring of 2013. (March was the first contact). After a couple of attempts to communicate, I finally received an email from a person (I'm not sure it was the same who originally responded in 2012). I was elated, and scheduled a service. The day prior to the service, there was the first of several cancellations. Over the next 5 1/2 months, and several communications, there were other cancellations (equipment broken; equipment stolen; weather; illness; equipment again...) Despite trying very hard to work with A-1, it is clear that this Big Deal was not such a deal. So we would like to have our money refunded.

Description of Work: I've emailed the service provider on Mar 26th, and got response the next day that my appointment was schedule for the first or second week of Apr, but no confirmation on the date and time. I followed again on Apr 4th, Apr 17th, and Apr 26th, with no confirmed date. This is unacceptable to me, so I'd like to refund this coupon.

Description of Work: I ordered the Big Deal from this company. After trying to contact them several times through phone and email I finally spoke to someone who said they would call me back when they were ready to put a schedule together once the weather improved. Now, in April, I have tried several more times to contact the company with no luck. I went with another service provider that didn't have a deal but actually got the work done within a week of my contact.

Description of Work: Totally environmentally cleaned exterior of house. Sorry forgot the date and exact cost; but I will be calling him back again this summer if I get the time to paint the house.

Description of Work: After scheduling an appointment, the company later called to inquire if my house had a wood exterior (clapboards). When I said yes, the company declined to do the power washing, saying they could not guarantee the work could be done without damaging the exterior. Got my money back from Angie's List, but this seems like the sort of restriction that should have been identified at the beginning so that I did not have to go to the trouble of scheduling a non-existent service and obtaining a refund.

Description of Work: Over two months after paying for services I was still unable to have anyone come to my house. I made repeated phone calls three times speaking to someonewho ststed how busy they were and told me they would be in my neighborhood in the "next couple of days" and would set something up. Finally after multiple unanswered calls and calls forwarded to a machine I requested a refund. Luckilly Angies list was much easier to deal with and gave me an immediate refund

Description of Work: Have not yet had the work done. (powerwashing) It was not the easiest time trying to schedule the work (partly because we were having other work done on our house, and partly because when we had availability the a-1 people had a broken machine, or replacement or something.) They weren't entirely unresponsive, but it required much proactiveness on our part to get any dialogue going about scheduling the work. I will try again after our house painters are gone. We are several months out of $250 "deal" that we purchased as part of Angie's list group deal. We tried for a refund, then got a call to schedule the work. We couldn't accommodate at that time because we were/are now having extensive exterior work done. Have not heard from them since.

Description of Work: A-1 did an excellent job cleaning our recently purchased condo. We requested a first time cleaning with everything included. They were attentive, responsive, organized, timely and honest. They did an appraisal first, noting what they were able to do and what our options were. They were very flexible and even went and searched for an unrelated product we needed. Our condo needed more of a thorough cleaning than we anticipated, but they stayed above and beyond the expected time for a total of 7 hours to finish the work (scrubbing, cleaning, polishing, dusting, wiping, bleaching, vacuuming, sealing and washing). They are family owned/run and very personable. We WILL certainly use them again if/when we need our home cleaned in the future.

Description of Work: Called to get an estimate on cleaning two apartments that were in between tenants. Called relatively last-minute, and he got back to me very promptly and gave an overview of services provided (various options, etc.). He was very accommodating to my schedule in terms of meeting at the apartments so he could see them and give me an accurate estimate. And was also very accommodating and able to get the job done in just a matter of days. Cleaned both units, top to bottom, and did a great job. They looked great. We were very happy and will definitely use them again in the future.
